  1. Still Charles Cooke up at Ross County would be a good addition to the squad,a tricky winger who has scored 9 goals so far ,which is a good return for a winger ,also I needs must Abada can play centre forward and allow Cooke to play on the wing ,what do you all think about that .and we definitely need another left back ,Still think Bollingoli is better than Taylor or Scales .

Just seen Soutters karate kick assault on the motherwell player yesterday.

That is a retrospective red card after ref ignored it yesterday.

Boris and his Chancellor are DETERMINED to hike up National insurance this year in order to pay for The NHS ?

Where is the £350 MILLION PER WEEK, that Boris and his Brexit Pals PROMISED the UK Public, would GO to The NHS…. IF the UK left the EU ?

    Chill man chill…..its like this….

Who gave you or anybody else apart from Paul 67 and his team the right to decide who should be allowed to speak and who shouldn’t be allowed to as long as they don’t break Paul 67’s rules?

There was a man who died a few days ago, Wim Jansen RIP, who came to Celtic in 1997, and ended our run since 1988 as non Champions, the first thing he did was he ended “cliques” in the dressing room, got everybody fighting for each other, not like for example John Collins had to do for 6 years and try to play in spite of a sooky clque in the dressing room, and the blessed Wim Jansen won us our first league title in 10 years, a league and cup double. Celtic fans don’t pose a material threat to anyone who wants to mug us off, because we don’t have the, Wim Jansen anti-clique, unity amongst fans because the fans have allowed themselves to split into wee sweetie wife cliques for too long, since 1994 actually and all seating bullsh*t came into play, the biggest example of non unity among fans was when 53,000 Celtic fans walked off the pitch and left Auldheid & co, on their own, to fight Res 12, how do you think Res 12 would’ve worked out had 53,000 walked behind Auldheid & co, and threatened the PLC to not renew their tickets if PLC didn’t bring Res 12 to a positive conclusion, and no tickets renewed until Res 12 had successfully achieved its intentions to prevent the PLC from can kicking? But the sly PLC full of fly men & women knew that the 53,000 were split into we cliques of sweety wives, and curtain twitchers, grassing on their neighbours, and demanding that their other neighbour is jailed because their dog pissed on the curtain twitchers lawn, then the whiners demanding fellow supporters are silenced on blogs as the curtain twitchers worship at the altar of cancel culture, wearing their rainbow laces in their £1000 training shoes with a loaf of bread and a tin of soup in a carrier bag for the food bank collection, then they vote for anti-women anti anti anti anti political party that cons the ar*e off of the sweetie wife, curtain twitching, grass their neighbour cliques, always always always always looking after number 1, and merely paying lip service to Res 12, the “greed is good” generation of Celtic supporters. I think the pish flowing Jungle would’ve created a very voluble narrative to ensure the success of Res 12, maybe leading to the removal from the board of those who doff their caps to the achievements of the RIC during the “Tan wars” the RIC / Black and Tans were devils in uniforms, Celtic directors are as crooked as the Irish govt who proposed saluting the devils who murdered our ancestors, the sham Irish govt screw workers, so do Irish business men like the sorts who find their way onto Celtic PLC, who are supported financially by 53,000 curtain twitchers, and sweetie wives, and blog witch finder generals, who appoint themselves as “judges” of who should post, and who shouldn’t.

Take care Big Jimmy. 👍 💚

  5. Can’t say the ‘sportsmanship’ of the Aussie crowd didn’t play it’s part there.

Nadal has an incredible following despite his gamesmanship which borders on cheating. The Russian will learn from this experience just as Novak D did over the years as he learned how to better him.

Awesome tennis match nonetheless. Incredible skill levels from both. How these guys go for 5-6 hours in such a gladiatorial manner is astonishing.

  6. Would love it if we sprung a wee surprise with Calmac and Maeda / Kyogo on the team on Wednesday and maybe Tom R on the bench.

Surely if the Aussie game looked like being a dead rubber ( it would be clear by 12pm after Japan play ) Tom could ask for permission and head to the airport instead of playing ? I would love it if we had such a plan b sorted with the Aussie coach.

Despite yesterday and how they are playing I fear being favourites with a decimated squad vs thems with only 1 regular missing and nearly a whole squad experienced at winning vs Celtic at CP.

A few last minute surprises might just give us the edge.

… still good win yesterday, from our vantage point looked like Greg had a 2 handed shove in the back before Nir in turn pushed their forward to the ground ….

I thought that too. I also thought the ref was determined to dismiss Nir. Saw a similar application of the rules when Dallas sent Mahe off in the ‘Shame Game’. Convinced that Mahe’s second red was the result of his justified angry response to the original yellow .

    Exactly Timbhoy163 👍

Charles Cooke is a real winger who’s involved in everything awe time unlike the disappearing acts that we get lumbered with who only appear in the 96th minute to score the winner and pull Ange’s er*e oot the fire!

Or Jota who is now getting the, Aiden McGeady treatment, defenders doubling up on Jota because they know they can do that as it looks likewe don’t have a threat bursting through midfield, like in the McGeady days.

  11. Tom McLaughlin on

When I’m at the game, as I was yesterday, I can always tell which player is the scapegoat for individual supporters.

If it’s a player they like, it’s “Pass it Callum” or “Hit it Tommy”.

If it’s the scapegoat for the guy behind me yesterday, it’s “Pass it you” or Hit it you”.

I didn’t know Giakoumakis’s first name was You.

  12. Ange is rightly giving Gio Giakoumakis game time. An effective big strong forward who can hold the ball up and score goals is such a valuable asset that time must be given.

For the above reasons I really hope he succeeds, but he will not be the first player to struggle with our iconic no 7 jersey

    HH.

  13. I am over at auchenhowie road.

Which brings on a pronunciation debate.

Is the garden centre called DOBbies or DOodies.

I have no confusion with dobbers

  14. One other nice thing for yesterday. It was nice to leave the game and it was still light.

What’s the weather to be like for Wednesday night.

  15. !!BADA BING!! on 30TH JANUARY 2022 1:05 PM

Magic. We’d just left McChuills at 2-3 and I could hear the car horns going. County equaliser confirmed by happy Tims piling out the sarry heed.

Absolute unadulterated joy at our winner. Doubt anyone in the standing section finished in the same place they started.

    what you doing today ?

I am going to the game, as always, its my thing its what i do, cant wait,

    how was the game.

och the usual, our players are rubbish, they cant defend or score goals, they let the other teams defenders defend and their goalkeeper makes saves, we dont run around enough and other times we run too much we have too many lightweight foreign loans and not enough academy players coming through, forrest is finished, hart is a bombscare starfelt is feart, biton is a nighmare, and the rest of them are just poor players,

all the big greek does is miss sitters, goe mak a misses thats what i call him,

then there is the traffic, i had to leave twenty minutes early.

so did youse get beat then ?”

    —————————————————

SAINT, That made me laugh out loud (Even although I was partly responsible for it!). 😊

    Well, except for the traffic.

Gently poking fun is an art. Good job!

  18. We create lots of high quality chances. This would indicate our system works. It ain’t-tip-a-tap-a. It might be keep ball but it is clearly,if you’re actually watching it, based on trying to play forward passes taking out defensive opponents and breaking lines.

The goal yesterday started in our left back position. I counted 7 touches of the ball after CCV received it until it hit the back of the net. Hardly tip-a-tap stuff.

Honestly, I wonder if I inhabit an alternative universe but I suspect it may be other more critical lensed, sceptical types that may be inhabiting that space at present.

  20. One point no one has mentioned re yesterday at CP was the wind. It made playing proper football even more difficult and in a sense was a leveller.

All the more credit to the team for persevering.

As the the so called ‘faithful’ who as usual had departed from 80 mins or so onward …. Enough said. Consumers vs supporters IMO. Must get home to get the dinner on. Most of them live within an hour of the stadium even allowing for bloody traffic. Even for folk like myself in the east it’s not much to stay when things are hanging in the balance. Hopefully those who left early will maybe feel a wee touch of ‘missing out’ when watching the clips of the final few minutes.

  21. Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Bloody Sunday massacre. It also marks the 50th anniversary of me supporting Glasgow Celtic.

I had just turned eight years of age the previous December, and while the conflict in the North was escalating, one of my main concerns was which soccer team I would declare my allegiance to.

TBH, I wasn’t fussed about any team. My eldest brother supported Everton while an other older brother supported Leeds.

But each day in school my contemporaries were boasting about their favourite English First Division team. Chelsea, Liverpool & Man U were all well supported in Ireland at the time but I loved going around the country supporting the Dubs in Gaelic football.

And then Bloody Sunday occurred. There was saturation coverage in all the media and because I lived in Dublin the coverage was hostile towards the British and sympathetic to the innocent victims.

My most vivid memory of that time was the funerals of the victims. I had never really known anyone who died, so the sight of a line of coffins in a Derry chapel – given the circumstances of the deaths and the national atmosphere at the time – encouraged me to make a huge decision to protest these brutal murders.

Now remember, I was only eight years of age. So my protest would be that I would never support an English First Division team. And to this day I haven’t and I won’t. And I was always happy to tell people why.

To emphasise my protest, I would soon pick a team from outwith the 1st Division and, when people would ask why I didn’t support a ‘big’ team, I would eagerly explain my decision.

The following Sunday I patiently awaited my turn to read the Sunday paper. When I got my chance I went straight to the results page, ignored the First Division and was ready to make my choice from the 2nd div.

The thing was though that none of the team names appealed to me. I quickly moved on to the the 3rd and then the 4th but still nothing appealed to me.

So now, I was looking at the Scottish First Division. One name jumped out me.

    KILMARNOCK.

Could this be my new team?

Kilmarnock was similar in name to Portmarnock where we swam regularly as a family and I knew that there was a connection. And there is. Both places are named after the Christian saint Mearnóg.

However, another team appealed to me and that was CELTIC.

I knew nothing about either team, and wouldn’t for several more years, but I knew that being Irish, I was culturally Celtic. And so I made that momentous decision.

In solidarity with the victims of Bloody Sunday I declared myself to be an UFB and chose the mighty Glasgow Celtic to be my soccer team.

At the time, I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. But it was the best and proudest sporting decision I made in my life.

I ndil chuimhne an cheathrar déag a feallmharaíodh ar Dhomhnach na Fola caoga bliain ó shin.

That anniversary. Watching the news this morning and some twat annoyed me greatly by referring to it as having occured in Londonderry.

The green brigade banner and display yesterday I thought was very well done. Respectful and poingnant.
