Didnt c the game but anyone who thinks stokes is an answer in europe as a striker is on drugs stokes is a glory hunter always on the look out for the hollywood goal spl player only imho!
I have to say that I expected more from the swedes tonight….. at least a higher tempo game… the swedish teams are usually fit.
We deserved the win, and really should have won by a couple.
Cant complain, however…. only home team in the CL qualifying to win tonight without giving up an ‘away goal’ …
so, all in all, not so bad…
The one big advantage they had was their fitness. We are the better team. Next week we will still be the better team but the fitness will be less of an issue. I am sure we can score over there meaning they will need 3, about 2 of which they won’t manage.
Overall a decent result with a very important clean sheet.

them. I hope he will be fit for the return leg. Their agenda was to kick us off the park. That Keen guy was an animal. Ledley for Kayal certainly made a difference. Well done the Hoops!
Their 0 is the best element of the night for us.
The Ross County game on Saturday will be vital to sharpen us up.
‘Rusty’ is the operativ eterm fro that performance. It was competent and professional, ultimately, if notihng spectacular.
An away goal early/first half next week will dampen their ardour and allow us to focus on the important things – their physios…

well is that enough ? we kept them out so thats a bonus .seemed liked a few good chances ,didn’t take them /get the breaks .

Positive:
– No away goal
– Another competitive game under the belt
Negative
– Stokes is no Hooper (fine for SPL). Disappointed no quality striker brought in. This is very much in the balance
– Kayal is no Victor. Ledley a better bet.
We will improve week by week at this stage of the season, but we could still do with a lethal striker. Stokes ain’t it.
