Willie Wallace, how good do you think Paddy Roberts can get? If he continues to progress do you think he could have made the squad in Lisbon :)
Fantastic, emotional day at Paradise, a touch of class to give Kris a bow at the end, Tifo was brilliant.
Willie
Great to meet you yesterday
Is it not fitting that our team have become legends/ invincibles today on this anniversary of our greatest achievement

His 10 minutes is well up!
Willie Wallace.
Brendan has already put his mark on our club with the Invincible LC and League campaign so far. Are you able to draw any comparison with Brendan just based on their first season in charge?

WILLIE WALLACE
Mr Wallace …. no question ,just want to say..thank you and God bless.hh

I think we can be fairly confident about doing the Treble at Hampden on Saturday. I am the guest of honour with John Clark so might even get my hands on the Cup again. I remember scoring 1 or 2 was it in the final 50 years ago so I am going for 2-0 with Griffiths scoring both goals.

Cheers mucker,all the best.

Congratulations to you all

Willie are you coming to Vegas this year and do you know who else from the club is coming?

I had a good chat with Brendan today. What you must remember is that he has been successful in England and he is has got his mind set on European success here. It is all very well putting 5 past Patrick Thistle and Inverness, no disrespect to them, but it doesn’t register on a wider basis.
He has made the players better through his coaching and the confidence he has given them. When I was at Hearts we always fancied our chances playing Celtic , then Jock Stein arrived and you were playing against the same players who were becoming better players every time you placed them.
So if you can’t beat them join them! The rest as they say is history. The best thing I ever did that you know.
Mr Wallace
A very very special day
We Salute you
Thanks for joining us CQN’rs again

You have to look at the Barcelona games this season to see where we were as a team. That is what Brendan is doing and he has been making improvements since then.
The fact is we got hammered over there, embarrassed. We shouldn’t be losing like that to anyone.
Draw up a wee list of the 6 top teams in Europe and think how Celtic would do against them now. I am not interested in the Europa league. I am talking about the European Cup.
I think we will be closer to them next season than this season so that gives me hope. I want to see a good summer though to get us ready for the challenge.
The style of football at the club is the right one to do well in Europe that is for sure and for the first time in quite a while it is now a realistic target.
WILLIE WALLACE…
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Sadly I won’t be there this time. I have brought the extended family all over with me from Australia and I am so short of tickets for the Cup Final that I have agreed to go and tie the ribbons on the Cup for the SFA.
Green and White ones.

A good summer?
That is in transfer activity inwards I presume.
Do you think we will add to the squad, significantly or just a small top up.
Oh and by the way. .Moussa for me

God bless you too and every other Celtic supporter. Brendan spoke about this when he addressed the fans after the game today. It’s not just the 60,000 in the stands, there are Celtic supporters everywhere and they are as passionate about our club in Auckland as they are in Airdrie, although there’s probably more of us in Auckland!
Just saw Wee BGFC posted his pre-match comments at the end of the last thread – worth posting again – here you go :-) We man was happy today!!

Hello this is WEE BGFC. AWRITE TROOPS!! Me, Da and SISTER BGFC – shocking – on the way to the last game of this historic campaign! Me and Da were talking this morning and we agreed that it has been a historical season looking at the TIC and it has been a histerical season looking at the THE RANGURZ international football group of clumpanys – definetely the same club unfairly relegated due to financial difficulties, punished harshly by Lawells fenian SFA. Anyway, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS. “Unstoppable” – Kris ‘monster munch’ Boyd (and hes a hun!). Just so everyone knows I am going to start up predictions next season but not the now because i dont want to change anything i’ve been doing this year.

Thank you very much for your reply. Appreciate you taking time out for CQN again.
Great answer and pretty much my thoughts on Brendan drawing a small comparison in that both managers put the fear of God into the opposition and in all intents and purpose had the opposition on the back foot before a ball was kicked.
I also believe however that both have and had respectively a knack of in stilling confidence that had both teams think about their own games 100% without worrying too much, if any at all, about the opposition. Both managers seem to take that on for themselves and just allow the players to grow and play as best they can and could.
Hail! Hail

WILLIE WALLACE –
Delighted you’ve taken the time to appear here to field our questions Willie. Here’s my daft question –
Would you like to see Celtic in another league where there is more income in order to advance?
Hail hail and thanks for all you and the other legends have done for the club – it’s genuinely hard to quantify how much your achievements have meant for Celtic.
WBFG
I would love to see you starting a you tube VLOG recording every game you attend. Get it done.
Peter absolutely lovely to speak to you again today. Now stop lurking and get that wee project up and running we discussed. I would love to read your memories from 46 onwards.

Is there someone advising Willie what posts to reply to?
Thank you Mr Wallace..
That’s my bets sorted ;-)

Yes it seems that the players have done their bit in making it a very special period for everyone involved at the club. Maybe see you with your dad down at the CQN Lisbon Party at Greenock next Friday. Apparently they have a coal lorry and want us to climb on the back of it. Bertie will be looking for danger money!
I hope everyone for CQN can com down so that the Lions can thank you for the wonderful gifts and presents that CQN, through your support, is presenting to not only all the players from 1966/67 but also the wives.
I really appreciate that, so thank you to all the CQN family out there.

We only had to go as far as Saltcoats to advance, the rest of the boys didn’t come from such exotic places as that. We were in the European Cup because we were Scottish Champions. In many ways ours is a ‘real’ league unlike the manufactured English league but as their teams have won the last ten Champions Leagues and England the last two World Cups it proves just how wonderful it is.
Football isn’t marketing, it can’t be manufactured. It’s football. Bubbles burst, we’ll be fine though.

I’m trying my best, like I have always done.
Willie, you were the best!
Thank you and take care!

I can say this is the first weekend MissGFTB has started talking about going to a game, i will never force Celtic on her, she has to find it herself……. Most of my family think it’s hilarious because she doesn’t give a hoot about Celtic (breaks my heart which they find funny) but she has to find her own way……. It might break my heart but am happy knowing she has already decided she won’t go the Sevconian hatred route :-)
JNP my glass was even half full in the 90’s :-)

May thanks for your reply Willie. Whatever way it works out, no-one will emulate the Lions.
A genuinely a remarkable achievement. Thank you.

All I heard today was positive noises about Patrick Roberts. The club want him to stay and he certainly was impressive today. Nearly felt sorry for that Hearts full-back in the second half. Nearly.
Jinky used to do that to defenders though, so he is a special player if that springs to mind.
Kudos to the Hearts` fans for their generous applause both before and after the game in a sporting recognition of Celtic`s achievements this season. I believe this kind of response would be more frequent if the Ibrox club disappeared entirely.
