I see the ladies lost to Hibs today – what is Brenda Rodgers playing at?

    Playing like big lassies!

  2. thetimreaper on

Rosie Webster was on the pitch today and looking rather glamorous i might add!

  3. Paddy Roberts was brilliant again today – I am sure if it is possible we will have him next year – otherwise Paddy it’s Stoke or West Brom

You’re a bad man ( as Brendan said to Chris)

  5. A truly special day in Paradise, the sort of day that only Celtic seem able to create.

A wonderful tribute from Brendan to several deserving recipients but I was especially pleased to see Kris Commons being given a proportionate and fitting send off.

Two incredible tifos from the Green Brigade today. Take a bow Rebels.

  6. Willie Wallace

I’ve just noticed that you’d been on CQN. Quite simply, thank you.

If I told you that I would have to organise a bulgarian business man to jab you with his umbrella

Much appreciated, but I want the wee blade to enjoy just being a Celtic fan, obviously not like her Dad dogging the train to Carntyne (not Bellgrove) spending his couple of 50ps on badges instead of pies, then a wee lift over and going home in the “luggage” part of Phil Coles bus …. Memories nobody could ever buy……. I have told her we will go the Forge then Mickey D’s before Celtic park (if we get tickets) BUT the most important thing is she has to want to go………

I will never bully her into being a wee fenian, Celtic supporting nutter…….. But so far am doing no a bad job

At the end of the game today the wee yin interrupted her studies to give me a hug and a kiss.

She saw my tears and knew words were not necessary.

    A lovely moment.

  10. Gene, must be a nearly disappointing day!

Wispy, watched you lots, thanks for the memories, enjoy your night!

Can I say on behalf of my best pal, passed, and Me what a frightengly good season, let’s just finish it. One more for history.

    AND if you know………..

I am so happy to be a celt, maybe with a wee bit rioja:))))

    Love you all

    Hail hail

  11. I was behind the goal on the west terracing to get a good view of Willie Wallaces two cracking strikes that effectivly put Celtic into the final . A hero forever.

The first time i saw wee Paddy play at Paradise last season, it was at home to Dundee. All i can say is it was love at first sight. I knew within 5 minutes the 18 month loan would end this way. Watching him and KT stroll around Paradise today is the most heartening thing you will see on a football pitch.

    Give O & C a massive hug from ML5

As a family you put it out there and I pray that others don’t ever have to face that………

BUT I hope you don’t mind me posting this……..

What a terrific outcome your story will give others belief

And am sure O will do great in her exams she takes her good looks and brains from C :-)

  15. GFTB

You are right about the wee yin!

C’s looks and brains…………..but…………..she has my figure……………. tall and slim!

    Take care Buddy!

  16. Just logged on for a read back.

Huge thanks to Willie Wallace for sharing some time with the blog on this special day. Hail Hail!

Can’t wait to visit Lisbon. Has anyone drawn up a roll call of CQN’rs that will be there this week? Must be quite a few by looks of it!

By the way that probably means it’s my round :-)

    Take care and God bless

Apologies to the apologists but is it ok if I put the Blarney Pilgrims on ????

    Let the people sing :-)

  19. Here until Saturday Morning, home in time to see the treble completed. May meet with Sipsini of this parish later this evening if we can sort out the logistics

For the benefit of BMCUW. My missus has just returned from our room weaing coat and scarf. Much cooler in the evening here.

  20. A 100 year old woman was introduced to the support at Celtic Park today. Nir Bitton`s five month old baby was also introduced to the support at Celtic Park today. They have each witnessed an invincible season in Scotland only once in their respective lives.

  21. When does the new season start? I am missing Celtic already ! Not really. I am still basking in the glow of an achievement the significance of which will feed me through the close season.

If nothing else, CQN has enables me to meet a lot of good people …..

Sometimes we don’t know what we have till it’s gone ……

I think I shed a few tears today that I never shed when we were rubbish,

    1. The walk on …. Amazing

    2. In the heat of Lisbon…. Then camera goes to Mr McNeill

    3. Brendan talking about the Commons family, my phone was buzzing with the young team delighted with that, the word they all used “class” I had a wee tear for KC

    4. Wee Jay high fiving Brendan on his way out

    5………. Just tears of joy

‘This is how it feels to be Celtic”

  23. Given our invincible season and due to the rest not being responsible for their lack of competition I believe every Celtic player should from this day forward wear 5Kg weights round each ankle in the interest of fairness and fair play.

    Wot yoos funk?

  24. When Carey told on Skin-the-goat,

O’Donnell caught him on the boat

He wished he’d never been afloat, the filthy skite.

    Twasn’t very sensible

    To tell on the Invincibles

They stood up for their principles, day and night by going up to Monto Monto…
