I think managers coming from Scotland, like players from Scotland, will always be given less credit by those in England, and will find fewer doors open to them…
As a result, I think NFL will struggle to find another job in England ….
I think, and again, it is just my opinion, he realizes this, and also realizes that he will always have a following amongst the Celtic fans … .as such, he has implicitly thrown his hat into the ring to come back to Celtic … and to do so, he has to tow the Celtic PLC party line … which it seems to me, rather unfortunately, is the ‘OF’ model .. it appears to be what our de facto owner wants… so, if you want to get hired ….

That was proper “creekit”. As Geoffrey Boycott would have said, the great shame is that cricket is no longer the sport of choice amongst the young lads from the islands. The athletic prowess is now being siphoned off towards the money in the NBA and from athletics. The youth there see the fastest and quickest way is to follow that path. Who knows , maybe this success will lead a few more to follow the path of the greats from the 70s and 80s.

Imo, Celtic PLC haven’t used the O.. F… term for some time. Recently, leading up to the semi final against the deid team’s latest apparition they haven’t even used any name at all.
I now take it for granted that any ex-Celt who wants to make a career in the media has to start by doing us down and at every opportunity. It saddens me if Neil Lennon has chosen to go down the road of the likes of Bonnar and Walker. I thought he was made of better stuff. He certainly suffered enough for us.
On reflection ,Geoffrey Boycott would have hated that game.

Mibbe Lennon doesn’t understand what has happened with the huns.
They have been a new club since 2012.
The year the Old Firm died.
We have very little history involving them.
He knows fine what he is saying.
We are in the business of supporting Celtic, managers and players alike might have a love of the club, but at the end of the day Celtic are their source of income and as such will follow the business model as dictated by the directors.

The pundits are briefed to mention old firm, what better way to maintain a lie than get a Celtic legend who typifies the club and supporters like Lenny. In return he will be used by the media in both meanings of the word and given a platform to help get him back into management.
You hear Huns say even Lennon thinks we’re the same club.
Repeat, repeat, repeat the lie.
Sky’s coverage of the Huns, as well as the rest of the media is unrelenting, however they do pay for this out of a budget that they can ill afford.

I know where you are coming from but I have heard many good Celtic supporters talking about the Old Firm to be honest with you I have slipped up now and then and talked about the Old Firm.It doesnt mean im towing the Old Firm line it just is a manner of speech that existed for at least 55 years of my life and being only human I some times use the phrase it doesnt make me or Lennie the enemy within.H.H.

We disagree on this I’m afraid.
Assuming that NFL is, in fact, doing it because he has a family to feed, and needs an income, I can sort of understand doing what he is doing … feeding our families is priority number 1 for most of us … it might not be what I would have said, but I cant be too critical of someone who is trying to look for their family (and this isn’t like he is stealing money or otherwise hurting someone … largely the harm has already been done)
For me, I struggle to accept more DD’s comments …. this is someone who just seems to be following the money …. money which he clearly doesn’t need to feed his family …. but seems to be prepared to throw Celtic, its history and its supporters under the bus for a few shlllings.. (okay, probably a lot of shillings)

What caught my attention was the party the West Indies fans were having and they were completely the opposite of the fedora wearing, snooty and staid characters you normally associated with cricket.
