  1. Worth noting that Rennes were ‘right in our faces’ throughout and we didn’t fold as we sometimes do when SPL opposition do the same thing. A lesson there to be learned methinks.

    And 2 assists for Samaras.

2nd goal just like one of Hoopers against the Dark Side last season only it was Izzy that played the pass from the left.

Great stuff. Glad I didn’t have to go out now!!

  2. Being a Celtic fan is some rollercoaster. One minute they are cr*p next minute they make you clap.

As my grandson says “Grandpa how come we are the best team in the world and cannae win in Scotlan?”

Think we all deserve a wee dram the night

    God bless all Bhoys

Totally agree that stuff should be kept for the Boardroom or secret briefings with the Daily Retard

  4. A superb result and gritty performance from the celts tonite , makes you feel proud to be a tim! You know celtic played well when u find it tough to name a man of the match. Well done young michael frazer and how well did big Dan do in that second half. Big Vic and Beram tackled like tigers all day long, the players looked proud to wear those jerseys tonight. Great to see Sammi, stokesy , hoops and Kriss all link up and cause havoc. This was much more like our heroes of last season…. now lets turn over that motherwell filth on sunday.

O most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus — People honor and invoke you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, for I am so helpless and alone. Please help to bring me visible and speedy assistance. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (state your request) and that I may praise God with you always. I promise, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you by publishing this request. Amen.

  7. Stunning performance really pleased!

You´re one of the sharpest tools in this drawer.

Hamster ref is for the ghuys who don´t realise that we are being had in our league.

Hamster on a wheel? In a head?

We play very well when we are not victums of assult every week.

    Very well.

    1+1=A Con.

How can people expect Scotland to do well when there are 2 sets of reffing rules to appease der hun and der hun followers.

Conned for the last 4 years…

    And longer.

  9. I see a negative comment or two appearing, out of luck hun.

Focus on the refs bhoys, they are where all the problems lie……………………..FOCUS…..the refs are the problem…………..

  10. Happy Happy Happy well done my Bhoys lets hope this is the start of something good. Carry on on Sunday bye humping that we english huns team bye at least four goals.

Has Joe got a serious injury or will he be fit for Sunday? If so, then we’ve got to play Kayal/Wanyama/Ledley in the middle against the Mothers and win the battle. Stokes/Hooper with Commons or Sami will do the necessary.

Use tonight’s result to step up a gear in the league Celtic.

  12. The young guy Frazer will never fit in to the celtic back four at times there I definitly saw him concentrating as Rennes attached, thus breaking up their play. This wiill never do. It has taken time to gel a back 4 that fall asleep. Kayal and Wattanyama were emense young Mathews worried me at times. On the bright side took the hoops at 13/2 when 1 0 down lol.

  13. So proud of the team tonight. Sammi was brilliant, dear God even big dan did ok 2nd half. Everyone connected with Celtic needed this result. Lets all take a deep breath and wait to see can we replicate this effort next Sunday. Hopefully this is the turning point of the season.

  14. The shock of having a tim on ( Willie McStay) has knocked radio Scotland off air three times tonight.

Willie talked a lot of sense about the game.

  15. Just left a large pack of ‘baby-wipes’ with Sir paul, for all the posters on here with ‘egg-on- their-faces’, am i loving this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Godamm right!!!

seems to manage it when he plays for the occupied counties.

    James,

Lenny looked relaxed at PC and during the game. Lenny at full time showed that team spirit is fantastic, hugged and kissed all the players. Hopefully something happened and everything is now back to what it was last year.

Tonight is a big result but only if we kick on from it. I thought we turned corner beating Hibs 4-1 then saturday came.

Victor and Kayal was immense and Sammy superb. But the hunting down and harrassing and chasing the Rennes players in LAST 5 mins is what impressed me as well.

What a difference when the strikers put the ball in the net.

What were the stats 4 shots 3 goals ???????

    That’s what’s been missing ( for 4 season)

Well done bhoys keep it up.

from what lenny said after the game it sounded like ledley will be fit for sunday.

  20. This result was badly needed, you can see the confidence back in the players and feel the relief from the support. One step at a time, but bring on Motherwell. Please god let this be the turning point of this season.

And another thing while I am on. Why do some of you guys torture yourselves watching ESPN, listening to Shortbread and reading the DR/SM? Follow the HOOPS on the best and most up to date medium CQN!!!!!!!

But I really enjoyed it as a game of football. Long time since I’ve said that.

I was thinking just that as I made my way home from the pub. That was not a lost dressing room team either. We still make elementary mistakes but when we are good we are very very good (and when we are bad….)

  23. viewfaethewindae on

    Right tin hat on.

In the 2nd half Big Dan was immense, that’s what we expect from an experienced Swedish international captain, 1st half we was iffy. 3 points on Sunday a must.

  24. The Patron Saint of Lost Causes

St. Jude was one of the 12 apostles hand-picked by Jesus, as well as a cousin of Jesus (Matthew 13:55). He was also the brother of James the Less, the first Bishop of Jerusalem. St. Jude is known as the Patron Saint of the Impossible, because his New Testament letter stresses that we should persevere in difficult circumstances, just as our forefathers have done before us. St. Jude is also quoted in the Bible, in John 14:22, asking Jesus why he won’t manifest himself to unbelievers after the resurrection. After the death of Jesus, St. Jude traveled in Mesopotamia and Armenia. He suffered a martyr’s death while being beaten unmercifully, and then having his head shattered with an axe. Martyrdom was referred to by Jesus as His baptism, in Luke 12:50. Jesus told his apostles, including St. Jude, that they would also drink from the same cup as Jesus, and receive this “baptism” of martyrdom, in Mark 10:39. St. Jude knew this, and boldly preached the Word of God to unbelievers anyway.

  25. I’d just like to say that young Marcus Fraser is a former pupil of SadiesBhoy. He has been a star for years – captain of Celtic Boys Club at every level and I believe captain of Scotland U-17 TEAM. What a way to make a debut.

From the man who gave you Tommy Boyd. Feeling pwoud, vewy pwoud.

  26. Nice to see JC with a big smile on ESPN discussing Celtic’s performance.

For me MOTM the much maligned Super Sammy – well done big man a great shift put yerself about and 2 assists – greats stuff.
