  1. Neil is now a hinderance to Celtic fc

A few mistakes in his time

Major one is as someone said a cobbled together coaching team with zero top class experience

I agree we have best players in Scotland at present

Rumours we were taking to two coaches this week

Get one in today Can’t wait for a shambles in wait for Sunday

  2. Good morning cqn fromba downbeat Garngad

We move onto Sunday and another must win game.

Every league game is a must win game at the moment there is no room for error.

I have just read Phil Mcg piece and unfortunately I have to agree with him.

As much as we all love NFL and admire him on a personal level for the struggle he has had to overcome off the pitch in this horrible country its maybe time to relieve him of the stress of its job.

I dont even want to start with last night.

However – Moi should be sent back soon the road….ok slightly harsh fined at least a months wages, 2 weeks is not a deterrant in fact make it 2 months. At what point do you take a phone out for a game of football especially when you have started the game…. feckin pirkc

We need to move fast. Papering over cracks with a win over Murderwell is no ambition at all.

Feck I could get a few wins out of the pool of players we have.

    SYDNEYTIM:

First things first, some players are deserving of a massive boot up the rear end.Players bought in for a few million can’t get a game,as I wrote last night onwards to Sunday and hopefully, silverware to be collected.

  4. Bhoyjoebelfast on

……..silverware to be collected, in the remaining months is the number 1 aim.

    Still celtic csc.

  5. Boyjoebelfast

    Agree in some way

But look at Elyounoussi. He was useless at Southhampton and has continued his form here

Our coaching staff who recommend players are useless. Still no left back or right back

    No driving central midfield

Too many shambles of transfer windows

Biggest paid ceo last year in British football who job is to ensure we have a top class football department. Failed

  7. Wow what an initiative and imaginative thought the UK Government has had….wait for it….

Mass testing…these guys are good it’s taken 11 months to think of it and put it in place.

What happened with the WHO advice in February TEST- TEST – TEST

A big thumbs up to the forward thinking Government…. Fa##ies

  8. 3 points at Motherwell will not make Neil or John better coaches or tacticians. It’s clear what needs to happen. Sunday will not change what needs to happen for us to move forward.

Our away form would suggest that Fir Park is going to be a real grind. There’s blood in the water now and every team in the spfl know to sit deep and play long balls or play for set pieces.

Motherwell aren’t at Sparta’s level so we won’t be embarrassed but they’re more than capable of taking points.

Get rid or lose the ten ( if it’s not lost already). I don’t say that lightly but there’s point in ignoring the rancid lack of fitness, organisation and attitude in our squad.

  9. So what if Moi checked his phone for four seconds; there were plenty others dialling it in on the night!

None of us know what’s going on for Moi or his kin at these difficult times – it’s the least of our worries.

Tell you what; he didnt look too happy about being hooked! Tried way more than some self-imagined superstars!

Any talk of changing ‘culture’ is irrelevant for our present pickle – if our crew don’t have the right attitude in a potentially record-breaking season, something’s well amiss down The Celtic Way. HH

  10. Was watching last night on and off, and kept arriving at the conclusion that, we need to start assembling a Celtic team from local players, with a set shape like Stevie Clarke had at, Killie.

If Mr Stein was able to recruit locally, and turn anonymous player’s, into heroes, then why can’t we still do it?

    Lyndon Dykes

    Declan Gallagher

    Alan Campbell (Broony’s successor?)

The young rb who left Killie, O’Donnell, there’s the spine of a team there. Mr Stein would probably have turned those player’s into star’s, why are we all about spending lavish amounts on, price tag’s, rather than being savvy, and astute?

Duffy need’s there to be a shape of the midfield in front of him, so that he knows where to, and not to go. A lack of formation is unfairly exposing both, Duffy, and Frimpong.

It’s better to have 2 bank’s of 4 in front of our goal’s, than a disjointed sieve.

SPP looked more coherent about each other, and it seemed to pay off.

If we recruited locally, and shrewdly, we could’ve had Dykes, who would imho, been more fruitful than, Klimala, and Ajeti.

If we had played with a team shape last night, like the one which Stevie Clarke used to propel Killie to 3rd place in our league, well last night might’ve been different, who knows?

    First post, God bless.

    Thought’s and prayer’s for Fairhillbhoy’s father. RIP

  11. The only thing that’s really changed that we know about since last season is Duff left and Gavin Strachan came in.

  12. Before Xmas last season we were stinking

We had 3 months of two up front which we played well

    This is just not happened

It’s at failure of Neil and JK

Neil has said that coaching and tactics is not is way

So he left John Kennedy who has zero experience at this level to do coaching and tactics , result of that is what we see in park for most of last season and all of this season

  13. The sight of Kennedy shrugging his shoulders last night and saying ‘I don’t know’ should see him exiting with Neil today.

  14. lets all do the huddle on

Was watching last night on and off, and kept arriving at the conclusion that, we need to start assembling a Celtic team from local players

    —-

    jeez no

we need the opposite of that

i wouldnt complain if we had zero scots in the team

the international team is utter shite so to build a team of scottish players would be total madness

  15. Fairhillbhoy

Sincere condolences on the loss of your Father.

    May he rest in peace.

  16. Go tell the Spartim on

    Fairhillbhoy

Thoughts and prayers for you all. Stay strong, god bless your dad.

  17. Go tell the Spartim on

Will we get a new article today????? If it’s like the last status quo article then ………….

  18. Not feeling any better this morning

Totally dejected in what I watched last night

Urgent action required – get a Grip Celtic

  19. Ive just did a read back and I there is nothing more than I can add after last nights shambles.

After the first 20 minutes or so, I had lost count of the number of times that we gave the ball away. Shane Duffy has been a nightmare in all honesty. At their 2nd goal, he allowed a Sparta player to get to the by line ( with nowhere to go), and the Guy STILL got his cross in, as Duffy was still trying to sort out his feet and his heid !

I sorry to say but Neil Lennon was the manager who brought Shane Duffy to Celtic, and I would suggest that Duffy has made big mistakes in every/most games he has played, mistakes that have not only unsettled our defence ( Even with Ajer beside him)…but mistakes that have cost us Goals being scored against us.

He is not alone of course.

Broony looks a “Spent Force”…Sadly, wee Frimpers and Christie very seldom know how to cross a ball, and French Eddie just looks disinterested. As for Mo using his phone after being subbed…I would have taken the phone Off him and smashed it on the Track.

If anyone remembers, at Aberdeen one Day under Martin O’Neill…. Celtic were Drawing or Losing ( I cant remember ?). MON was in a hurry to make a substitution…and told MO CAMARA to get ready to go on…..It took this Clown forever to take off his Trackie etc…and then once stripped…and standing next to MON, Camara took off his Feckin ” Jewellery and HANDED said Necklace etc…to Martin.

Martin looked absolutely disgusted…and quickly handed the Necklace etc to another member of staff in disgust.

I think that was the LAST time Mo Camara ever wore the Hoops ?

To some Celtic supporters, if Mo Elynoussa did look and/or use his phone, thats the least of our worries ?…I do NOT agree. It is a an indication of a ” I couldnt care less attitude” imho.

i would much rather see a Celtic player being subbed…and booting water bottles about cos he is angry with HIS Performance and/or whatever the scoreline is at the time….at least TRY and show that you CARE about Celtic !

Sorry for the Rant…but I am in a MOOD !

    HH .

  20. Had a horrible realisation last night.

Our two Israeli bhoys who’d looked so accomplished playing against Scotland.

Mibbee that’s cos they were playing against Scotland?!?!

I wonder if that thought popped into my head, because last was a lot like watching Scotland (except, we have so much more latent talent….that’s why it’s NFL OR The Ten. Both are irreconcilable, I’m afraid)

  21. Good morning, been a while since I have posted regularly on CQN. Still lurk most days.

Deeply disappointed with the result last night, but it’s the manner in which we lost that is most alarming for me. For whatever reason some of the players appear not to be giving 100%, and it’s not the first time this season that I have had this feeling watching the team.

Lenny’s comments after the game seemed to confirm this. His assessment was “a lack of hunger, lackadaisical, don’t know where that performance came from. I will have to change the culture over the next couple of days.”

Sadly it looks to me for whatever reason some of the players are no longer giving 100% effort to the team. It looks as though he may have lost the dressing room, and if that is the case, this does not end well.

My own thoughts are that if we are to have any chance of winning the league, a change of manager is urgently required, although that is a risk in itself, my opinion is that if we don’t make the change, then the league is gone. And with it of course the historic ten in a row.

I think if we act swiftly and decisively we have a very good chance of winning the league this season, which surely must be the priority at the moment. Will be sad to see Lenny go, appreciate all he has done for the club over the years, but I think it’s time move on.

  22. From a clean sweep of trophies and beating Lazio, we’re now bottom of the group after being pumped 1-4 at home to a poor side with players missing.

Sevco have improved steadily under Gerrard and/or his coaching team. They’re currently nine points clear (albeit having played more games) and look a decent side in Europe, almost certain to qualify. They have our number in head to heads and are looking solid favorites to stop the ten.

Yet I come on here and read they’re lucky, they’re helped by refs, their opponents are “pish” and let’s all laugh because they get held to a 3-3 draw away to Benfica (who are a far better side than Sparta).

It’s this level of arrogance and complacency, from the board down to the average fan that has put us where we are. We have a challenge….we should be rising to this challenge, not just turning up, hoping to win without working to win and hoping Sevco implode.

A change at the top won’t happen just yet. You can’t sack a squad of players. Our only hope of getting a reaction and a “bounce” is a change of manager.

Risk? For sure. Not as risky as carrying on as we are…..sleepwalking to the end of the generation of dominance.

  23. Don’t know what to make of last night’s shambles. I feel that the most worrying thing for me was the attitude of the likes of Eduard. He is not just off-form; he doesn’t seem to be interested. Maybe because the MIBs have allowed him to be kicked off the park in Scotland.

Ultimately, imo, the responsibility must rest with the manager. Our team are going backwards at an alarming rate and he doesn’t seem to be able to change anything.

  24. JACK MURPHY

Probably a bad day to join the madhoose … But welcome anyhoo…

  25. PARKHEADCUMSALFORD on 6TH NOVEMBER 2020 8:41 AM

I agree that all players should give 100% when they play and they must take some of the responsibility.

But what’s the chances Eddie and Ntcham eventually leave and look like top quality players at their next club.

Is it the coaching? Tactics? Motivation?

What I do know, is that Slippy is getting the most out of average players. We’re getting nothing from talented players. I know where the buck stops…

  26. A clear out is whats needed , our hero Eduard is lazier-than a cuckoo likewise biton , last week rightly so rogic was receiving rave reviews for his performance v the dons , the thing with rogic is he is inconsistent , very injury prone , a super player on his game and being allowed to play ,he won’t battle for you . Ntcham another one who couldn,t care less and who has overstayed his welcome as far as I’m concerned we have been to loyal to some of these players . Unfortunately time Is catching up with our super leader ,a young Scott brown type is what is required in our midfield .no need for nick Hammond to scratch his head he should have started looking for a ball winning midfielder ages ago . Cal Mac is off form not getting much support for what I can see but get him decent company which will allow him to play the game he is regarded for . Frimpong here we have a young boy bombing up and down the wing right back ,outside right . This young man should be getting nurtured within the team , we are looking for too much from this kid . Like many of you I watched the Israel game at Hamden . I saw a performance from el hammed I have not seen for the celts ,so it’s there ,why not for us . Laxalt more effort from him just in the door than from some others , I like him . What can we say about the defence, I’ve had more than my fair share of comments on here regards the Defence. I am not a fan of our twin towers . Both over 6.6 and as soft as putty . Oh how we have gone back with our defence , I would jump at boyata .berkovic partnership again . Not perfect but better than what we have at present IMHO . Would love to see big Shane hitting it off with us ,but at present he is being hung out to dry . There are plenty CH with lack of pace but any other team would have pacey defenders to cover him . What must Turnbull , Soro, klimala , do to get a wee chance ,as I said earlier too much loyalty is being shown to guys who are continually not showing it on the pitch . Striking role is there if we can find the right combination . And we could do with a tricky winger who can take a knock and come back for more , unfortunately they have an arrogant aggressive wee scumbag who carries them out of many a tight spot . That was as bad last night as I have seen in over 63 years following the hoops ,seen us beaten often ,but not with the lack of fight , lack of commitment as was present last night . We have problems that need sorting , we are out of Europe but not out of the ten . But first aid is required and required urgently . BTW this is my views only .
