Broony is part of the problem. He’s past it. Lennon wants us to build our team around him…
Scott Brown as captain is hardly going to come out and blame the manager is he?
He is, as stated, is part of the problem.
Surely the sharp suits who run our club see this as a must act situation?
Even if Lennon somehow managed to get us going again in domestic football and even dare I say it won the 10 [which i really doubt].
What do we have to look forward to in europe with him in charge?
Getting humiliated at celtic park by any well organised team and half decent coaching set up that rolls up and celtic park.
10 IN A ROW is infact only second on my list of goals.
European football is always my main goal and yard stick.
Keeping Lennon in charge is now suicidal for the powers that be at celtic park.

It’s not too bad – the league is still there for us but it will be lost soon.
We’re 4 months into the season- this isn’t a phase. Last night was not a performance in isolation.

DD will determine if Lenny stays, he’s not known for jeopardising any of his investments, cash is king to Celtic and the thought of losing considerable funds from an exasperated support (just a feeling not based on empirical evidence so far) might be a risk not worth taking.
Last night was a repeat of a movie we’ve seen too many times. Without mentioning tactics, as no doubt the NFL clique would question my credentials, the players look unfit, unmotivated, uninterested and some out of their depth now (to be kind to Duffy, I’ll say only this the weight of the Celtic jersey is weighing him down, that’s as kind as I can say)

My concern with change is that I do not trust the agenda of those who would be implementing it.
the players take the field in a must win game looking and playing as if they don’t want to be there. Who to blame? The players for their lack of motivation or the management whose job it is to prepare them for such a game ?
The problem is how to remove the disaffection from the dressing room and fix the connection between players and management while achieving the 10 .

Sevco are decent but we continue to underestimate them. That’s one of the issues….
We have got to the point where our players have lost ALL faith in the manager and coaches.
You can see it when they get subbed off.
Very rarely does a manager come back from this point.
No amount of raving and ranting in training will change this.
He is on his knees as celtic manager now and for goodness sake for everyone it has to be ended TODAY.
Getting the league title is actually now very doubtful if he stays or goes.
However we will start the road to recovery much quicker if we act immediately.

So PL and or DD are the issue for you
I too have my doubts about PL – he has a talent for making money but sadly not for investing it wisely
I can never forgive the McGinn issue
I also think he lacks the ability to build positive relationships with people that need it – he failed with Brendan
But reality is – PL is not going anywhere
Obviously DD is not going anywhere
So that brings us to stick or twist with Neil
Stick is morally admirable
But stick looks like we do not win 10

The Great Desmondo, not being a Celtic fan, might not be unduly concerned about losing the 10 if it ensures the huns survival. A price worth paying over the long term. That’s the problem.

Jamesgang we did indeed… We were playing against 11 players mind…… It is easily or conveniently forgotten that sevco were getting a pasting up until the red card…… And for an hour I hear they were very good…… Against 10 men….
We now have four away fixtures on the trot…starting at motherwell and then hibs.
The positive being that if we don’t win the third [away to sparta] the fourth becomes a training match at milan]
I doubt even our board will be able to do nothing after that.
Season is falling apart right before our eyes.

I would wages that Neil earns circa £500k or less. His last clubs were Hibs and Bolton.

IF you are correct then we were doomed from the start.
If a manager took a job on 1/5 of the previous manager he was a lame duck from the very start.
I believe he will have been paid far more than 500k and closer to the reported 2.5 million brenda was on.
In my humble amateur opinion the team have no respect for the management or back room team
They are not stupid men, they have a short career and expect to make as much as possible for them and families in a short time
When coached by BR and his team they could see the self improvement the possibility of becoming a better footballer a better athlete and moving forward to better things
Recently they see their career and reputation and future value being ruined by incompetent coaching
What would you do in their position?

Neil was on less during his first stint than McCoist was (i think it was £800/900k) when managing Sevco in the 3rd division.
Neil would have been on buttons at Hibs. He was then unemployed. There is not a chance he will be on the money you quote.

its not just duffy that is out of his depth at even average european levels.
a lot of the squad are
we have a squad that are paid enough to do well in europe but are technically only good enough to win the league in scotland
and dont even look like being good enough to get anywhere near doing that this season
and we have team management and coaching staff to mirror that
just because you play well against hamilton on a saturday doesnt mean you are good enough to play against milan in midweek
the squad needs restructured as i have been saying all season

Exactly. And the “big fish” status is on the line. If Sevco win the league, I’d back them to reach the CL group stages quite comfortably. Financial insecurity put to rest, while we face a huge rebuilding job almost certainly with a new manager.
It’s not just 10IAR on the line but the whole generation of dominance could be ending with a whimper.
Lenny and his alleged staff of coaches/scouts ( whoever they are) are a burst flush , I’m in the only 10 matters this season to the detriment of all the other comps and make no apologies for saying that imo 10 is gone , they have spent/wasted millions in the transfer window and I can’t for the life of me understand how we continually purchase/loan players and don’t play them only for them to be moved on without ever getting a decent chance in the first team because the manager has his favourites and won’t ever drop them. totally sickening what’s going wrong with our club.
It’s difficult to shift the sense that Lenny is failing in the job. That’s not to say that he will fail, but it is – I think – clear that the results and performances of the team in the past month or two represent a trend, and the trend is negative.
This is his team, signed and selected by him, playing to his instruction using his system(s). It’s not doing well.
From last season’s squad he has lost Forster, all other departures being fringe players.
He’s added Barkas, Klimala (Jan), Ajeti, Turnbull, plus Laxalt and Duffy on loans to last season’s squad and kept his best players. He managed to get Elyounoussi back for another year on loan.
He can point to a run of injuries and illnesses that hobbled him during October, and of course the absence of Forrest, Julien and Ajer currently.
He can point out that his team is sitting 3 points (net) behind Sevco with 27 matches remaining, and that they are in the Scottish Cup Final next month.
However, his squad is demonstrably stronger than last season yet results are poorer. Last night was another low point to add to home defeats by Ferencvaros and Sevco lately.
Neil says there’s a problem with the culture of his squad. That one, as with signings, systems and results is delivered directly to his door.
That’s a lot of post to sort, and little time to sort it.

and as usual ” wtf happened ” normally we’d dissect every aspect of the
game, but today ? move on, maybe that’s the problem ?

As regards Lenny saying ” the culture’s got to change ” think that puts his
tenure in serious jeopardy.
It conjures up so many questions, not just for his enemies, who of course
are out in force tonight, but to his friends who are baffled by that statement.
As usual we have bloggers on here after the game with a multitude of posts
in one hour and then they disappear for weeks when we are winning.
Do I find that strange? no because that’s what huns do.
Has the ten gone yet? no, that game was a nightmare for us, but… but despite
being shoit, despite feckin good players downing tools, despite the fact that
our support aren’t driving them on, we’ve still got a chance at the magical ten.
Am I delusional? maybe, but if you’d asked me back in the early sixties ” do you
think Celtic will win the European cup, potential Quadruple treble, break every
record in Scottish football? I’d have said ” YES ” because that’s our club, our
people, never forget that.
