Lots of speculation over the weekend that we’ll see Craig Gordon in goal for Scotland and Fraser Forster in for England tomorrow night. I’m claiming the two of them as ‘ours’. Big Fraser was a great Celtic goalkeeper and professional. He deserves one last curtain call on the pitch that made him.
I see Dick Advocaat completed his work with Serbia in less than half a season after their home defeat by Denmark on Friday and is now available for employment elsewhere. The Serbs have carried some hurt after Denmark made-off with Euro 92, when one of Europe’s great teams were denied their stage by civil war. The Danes were famously on the beach after being eliminated from the qualifying rounds by Yugoslavia before war in the Balkans opened the door for them to compete in, and win the tournament.
The last thing Serbian football fans deserved was to have Advocaat lead them. The Dutchman left us with so many great memories.
Do you have Craig Whyte holed up in a safe house, as the formerly advertised Motherwell-born billionaire remains at large after a warrant was issued for his arrest on Friday? If not, he’s perhaps gone feral and living in an outbuilding.
Check your shed, look behind the bins. It might be an idea to leave some food out for him. He may be disguised, there is no guarantee he’ll be wearing his Celtic scarf and Burton’s apparel, so stay alert.

I don’t like the huns, but I don’t mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like the huns, denigrate means ‘put down’.

The FOCUS squad are volunteers, so the law is being set by people who already had a strong interest in the subject, people who already have an axe to grind and who are not representative of the normal population. A sham of a law.

Very much so in respect of club football. Most Ultras wouldnt be seen anywhere near an international game – those are for the middle class, fathers with their children and nice boys with their girlfriends.

I don’t agree mate, that would suggest that’s it’s the SNP who’re driving this aided by a complicit police force. I believe it’s the other way round.

Maybe, given recent events it might be better to hold off on the prospective ad, whilst still raising funds towards it. Namely, just over two weeks ago, Lord Hodge approved a motion that Rangers FC be handed over to liquidators, BDO, to complete process. He did so, while noting that there were unresolved allegations relating to the Administrators. These may or may not relate directly to actions by the Police in the last few days. There was no mention of any likely funds due from Craig White et al, £1.7 mil is all that is left. No mention of our old friend gratuitous alienation either. The date for the liquidation hearing has been set, thank you Leftclicktic at 12.49 today, (like the reference to the “Annual creditors meeting”), being December 9 2014, in Glasgow. After which, at some point, Rangers FC will be liquidated. Officially this time! Might not need the ad after the fact.

Do these fans have shareholding in the clubs ?
The Offensive Behaviour Act is due to be reviewed by independent academics based at Stirling University in March 2015. They are to assess how the Act has been implemented and then make recommendations to the Scottish Government in terms of should it be continued, amended, repealed etc.
From what I see and read in the media it seems that neither the Scottish Government nor Police Scotland have any desire to repeal the Act.
Therefore it would be very convenient for them if Celtic were to meet the Zombie club just before the Act was due to be reviewed and for fans and/or players to engage in conduct that could be used to justify the Act ahead of this review.
Factor in the Zombies skintedness and the financial lifeline that a match drawing 60,000 people paying £40 or thereabouts for a ticket would give them, it seems to me to be highly convenient that Celtic were drawn against the Zombies at this time.
Celtic Mac,
Liquidation as far as I know will happen after investigations have recovered as much for the creditors as possible, and uncovered all the reasons for the state of the company leading to liquidation so from that perspective there is a long long way to go.
If liquidation is indeed as soon as you suspect then the investigations have finished and all else is buried.
Just finished listening to Neil, as a panelist, on radio 5’s Monday night club.
He came over very well as usual. Joe Ledley interviewed on it also.
Neil referred to Celtic as we a couple of times.
Nice to hear him so relaxed and not getting grief from the SMSM.
Evening bhoys and ghirls. Regarding Focus and the beatings they are taking in court. Where they were flawed and lost most of their cases was the evidence was mainly the ‘nipple’ cameras and the fact that due to not very good footage and none of them being trained lip readers their case would fall on its erse. This is straight from the top lawyer who up until now has 100% record. However they are now not using this and have gone back to arrest on say so of 2 cops then when advising that you are under arrest they bring over another cop with nipple piece to inform you that it is being recorded. Again from lawyer and how they done my son.

What I read, none of those 6 602 who bougth tickets via system controlled by Italian FA and then Croatian FA took part in riots. Riots were caused by those who bought tickets out of Croatia controll. Italian authorities said they did not broke agreements with the Croats and 1 400 tickets were sold due to computer system failure. Poor explanation.
WE did have the same with Legia hooligans some years ago. I thing the numer of those who got bans was close to 300 one year. The next year when we played in Holland, the authorities there ignored Legia warnings and sold tickets out of Legia controll. Hooligans caused riots there. Similar revange. I don’t think those who caused riots in Miland were only DZ supporters.
I read official statement on Croatian FA website. FA told about neo-nazis, hooligans.

I believe the judiciary are against this Act and any prosecutions will have to be good ones to proceed
It’s the Original Gangster or nuthin’.

Agree on your main point, but understand that, as far as the Court of Session is concerned, that process is now complete, hence lord Hodge’s approval of the motion to liquidate.
Celtic Mac,
So the cover up is complete ?
Or are there more arrests and prosecutions to come ?
How can the cause of the liquidation be ignored ?

As I keep sayin….
Who in opposition is loud enough to speak up ?……
Anybody there ?.
My friends in Celtic,
There is no dubiety, straight from the horses mouth the OB act was introduced as a means to “even up the score”
Why will it be repealed ? it really doesn’t matter that it is useless, it is actually quite popular in certain quarters. After the elections next year the SNP’s mandate to govern will in all probability increase. Put simply they will do what they want.
BGX, to remove any ambiguity, I completely accept that your Yes vote was not a vote for the SNP. However a vote for the SNP next year as far as the OB act is concerned is a totally different ball game.
HH, and apologies for biting.

PFAYR your bang on they still need to be lip readers looking into a crowd of thousands and state they distinctly heard the individual. It is absurd. Only downside is who you get as a sheriff apparently there is 2 who are real huns and would take great pleasure in sticking it to any tims or tim lawyer.
