CVA schedule hits time crunch

417

There was a degree of anticipation that we would hear the official announcement today of the creditors meeting Duff and Phelps planned to hold on 6 June, where a vote would be held on the proposed CVA.  Creditors must receive notification of a meeting, with proposals, 14 days in advance, with notice normally given by post and by advertisement.

STV today revealed that the administrators hope to send details “at some point this week”.  Tomorrow is the last postal date for items to be delivered on time for a 6 June meeting, but it’s seldom administrators would leave themselves at the fortune of the final postal collection.  It would be embarrassing if Duff and Phelps were unable to even get to the stage of putting a proposal to creditors.

Inspired by the stories of three children, Celtic Quick News readers this year have raised a considerable sum of money for research into Neuroblastoma.  One of them, Niamh Curry, age 5, slipped away yesterday.    There are no words or sentiment of consolation to offer, but our thoughts and prayers go to Niamh and her family.

  1. Just seen above posts re podium. No intent to make anyone feel guilty…just seems to me a childish practice.

As I said had just logged on and saw podium comment. Glad poster realised quickly bad taste.

If I have made anyone feel bad / cross not the intent of my post and should that be the case I apologise.

If you read the early posts you will see that I expressed my regrets for having done so. The title of Paul’s article gave no clue as to the content regarding Niamh’s sad passing and I also took time to express my sympathy to her family.

Perhaps we should also introduce a rule that posters must read all previous posts before posting themselves.

  3. Dungaster was talking big in statements released to the media last week. Now that he’s come to speak all we hear are the squeaky noises of a mouse.

Hey, just logged in, saw the podium boast by someone who had clearly not read the article containing the shocking news about young Niamh.

Time this podium lark was cut out folks and that Paul67′s articles are actually read before comment.

    ……..

I cringed when I read Paul67’s article and the podium poster immediately apologised, no harm intentional harm done.

I’m sure in a normal Cqn day there are many Celts who log on and post without reading the sainted Pauls article.

TheOriginalSadiesbhoy. Fella you were takeing part in something that happens every time a new article is posted a bit of fun thats all it is.The fact that anyone could think you were being disrespectfull is nonsense. Also you were good enough to apoligise when you read the article.Life is to short to be bitching about things like this after all CQN is a form of entertainment and podium chaseing is a bit of fun nothing more nothing less.H.H.

  10. I blame Paul67 – he is just too damned liberal in letting us post with so few rules!

I would delete all the podium nonsense, all the reposts from earlier (they are still there!) and also set a word limit. That would sort things out.

Thanks Joe. I felt bad about it because I have remembered Niamh, Vanessa and Oscar in my prayers every night since I heard about each of them. I can’t imagine how Niamh’s family feel tonight.

TheOriginalSadiesbhoy. Yes it is indeed a very sad day and we cannot know how the family feel like you I will have them in my prayers.H.H..

  15. Kilbowie Kelt on

Nobody is suggesting that Sadiesbhoy was being disrespectful.

    He very obviously WAS NOT.

However, the POTENTIAL for problems arising if something tragic is contained in an article & the first response is ‘Get in there’ ( or whatever) is obvious.

Might be better just to read the article.

  16. Just wait till new article………………………….

    No word limit on CQN!

Some of the best reading I get on the internet is the original pieces people post on here. All stuff from the heart, unedited and pure.

Keep the word limits for the short-attention-span modern generation sites…..

Do the spl have the same rules, the rotten mob were punished by the sfa for breaking

If so, when will they be brought to face the charges

  23. Its no surprise that the establishment figures- Salmond/Dongaster/host of SPHell directors- are fighting with each other like rabid demented wolverines to tell the next lie to protect der hun…but I really thought I would be as excited as a cockeral in a hen pen today…now after that statement I feel as though I have been strapped into a straitjacket made from a cold wet blanket…

Maybe the wait is for the best- after that dreadful news about little Niamh.

wonkyradar. I think the problem is we keep thinking of what would happen to the orcs if normal rules were applied. However, that is not going to happen in this case the rules are being bent and will be broken in order to facilitate Rangers.H.H.
