Denayer set for Galatasaray

552

Manchester City central player, Jason Denayer, will join Galatasaray before tomorrow’s transfer deadline. The central defender was on Celtic’s radar after the injury to Rivaldo Coetzee, and all other things being equal, I believe the player would be happy to head back to Celtic, where he played season 2014-15, but City are set to conclude the deal with the Turkish club.

Celtic will soon have Dedryck Boyata and Erik Sviatchenko back from injury, while Jozo Simunovic was rested for recent games on plastic pitches, but is available for selection alongside 19-year-old Kris Ajer.

With three senior central defenders already at the club, plus one development prospect, I believe City were concerned that Jason would not have seen the development opportunities he enjoyed at Celtic first time around.

That’s a player that someone mentioned earlier, as a very good option and well worth the fee ?

I really like young Liam as a player, and seen him as a long term replacement for Scott

Not sure Brendan does, he has extremely limited minutes on the park this past 12 months, and only my view, we may now be holding Liam’s career back without giving him games ?

Need to think about the player as well as our club

  3. I’d love it, just love it, if we signed Lucy V. She could present programmes on CTV.

And when I head over for matches she could be my waitress in the Fan’s café beside the superstore.

Anyone got me a ticket yet for the All Ireland football final?

This should go down well. Do you know that Odsonne Edouard won both the Golden Player and the Golden Boot Awards at the 2015 Under 17 EUFA Championship:)

Lets hope the rumours are true then, but never underestimate how difficult it is in the current climate where average players are 15-20m, I won’t quote the Roy Kean figure

  10. TSOAL: Hibs are no comparison. They were playing novices. Dublin are awesome. If Mayo break their curse fair play to them.

Now, back to the question: do you have a ticket for me?

CowieBhoy, join in and fill yer boots. You are now on three in a row, we agree, we should have been clear and stick the £49 per game, as yer mhan once said whatever part of Celtic that needs Rangers/Sevco I can live without (paraphrasing here, but the point is accurate O think).

MIT, our Club is the fans.

I don’t think a PR campaign was needed, a simple statement along Griffs lines, “yer clubs deid mate, beat it!” Or some such.

Kev, I’ll never get your point of view! But then you won’t get mine, but I’ll pick you up on this, you said, “But my point is, if there weren’t 30,000 empty seats, there would be no Brendan.

That’s a clear mibees aye, mibees naw:-)

Just speculation Kev, nowt fact based there.

    Every opinion is valid.

  18. When it gets down to the nitty gritty, we are all wanting a winning team on the park, so we bitch and moan, it’s what we do, am happy enough I suppose with the dealings, 27 out so far, there could be a couple more is astonishing, just think how much Pedro is saving every week in wages, so a couple of first team starters is not too much to ask for.

Jeezo, the huns are bigging up a loan from Cardiff, aptly named Declan John, he can’t get a start for them so he will fit right in at the huns

  20. Celtic get to c/l group and turnover is 80 + million, few championship teams can match that, only those that go up and drop down.

Transferso for championship players now stupid. Scottish top flight could learn from them.

Scottish football is in awful state due to shite TV deal. while every other counrty has saw massive increase in tv value scottish football has witnessed unpresidented fall in this area.

Spfl needs to push for far better tv deal to give scottish football more income and more credibility. If clubs are able to hold onto and atteacthe better players, that would help massively and might see scotland become a place where the crazy rich English clubs see value, which in turn would take our league and clubs up a level.

More competitive clubs for european competition means more clubs reaching group stages and more income.

Truth is sky sports is at the heart of the cancer killing scottish football. It need not be that way
