It is nonsense to talk about Hampden Hoodoos, Celtic’s five defeats there since Neil Lennon became manager have been a result of poor performances, not superstition (fighting the urge to mention two last minute penalty decisions). Celtic were unquestionably the stronger team on four of those five occasions, arguably all five, but they have been tactically out-thought at the national stadium time after time.
We are vastly stronger than Dundee United but once the whistle goes tomorrow, unless we can match them for hunger, arrest the defensive lapses which have blighted us all season, and find the key to breakdown what will be a tight defence, there is no reason to believe the outcome will be any different than when we faced a weaker St Mirren.
Shortly before that St Mirren defeat I said we were not playing consistently to win the treble we were short odds for. Consistency hasn’t improved much since, which is why you are hearing talk coming out of Lennoxtown about this being the biggest game of the season.

On a more serious note, I think Dundee Utd. will be scrapping for their lives tommorrow and we are going to have to be right up for it for the whole 90 minutes. I think it’s up to our strikers to put away any chances they get, which has been our main weakness at our recent Hampden appearances. I still fancy us though.

The only concession is when Celtic are actually playing, then I get served on a tray o.k. Re the game, yes attitude is going to be everything, we are clearly the better team but that will count for nothing unless we match them man for man in that department.

We also should have enough time to start to heal wounds. That should be done immediately and not based on Season Ticket uptake. We need to hear more from our Board with regards policing and discrimination of Celtic fans. They also need to regain trust be outlining what personal information they are prepared to divulge to the authorities.
LNS verdict was only about not getting broiled down in legal dispute for football and the paying public in general. That is why we have kept schtumm on the whole thing. It is going how they want it and it will go that way until somebody eventually speaks out.
Now I think we have kept our counsel well regarding Sevco but if it stays that way then we want the status quo ´. Our plc wants the hun cabal in situ. The SFA, Sevco, and TAFKNA Strathclyde Police. To say that they are not is taking leave of your senses. To say that the MIBS have not cheated us St. Mirren excepted at Hampden recently is also taking leave of them.

By their announcement today of an ENQUIRY concerning the hysteria over the clear connection between Green & Whyte in the national media they hope to TAKE CONTROL and stem further discussion on the situation which was spiraling out of control and heading towards total meltdown. Me thinks they have advisor’s working overtime at Castle Greyskull. So take yourselves pre sevco boardmeeting and continue discussion of the clear (written in black and white) connection between Green & Whyte if this continues for too long they will eventually implode its all about taking control of events.
Watching the game today at Hampden it seems clear to me that width is the key as the playing surface again looked slow.
Pity we have no wingers fit.
