Edouard and the need for forward planning

321

The first hope during an international break is that the players return without injury.  Last night I realised that my next hope is that Odsonne Edouard stops attracting attention to himself by putting the ball in the net for France Under-21s.

He scored twice in a 4-0 win against Albania.  Odsonne’s form is either going to drop off a cliff edge, or the summer of 2020 is going to have a familiar theme for Celtic.  We should be busy planning contingencies now.

  1. Garry,

Neil is oor Manager….. he is so much more.

Celtic have the perfect Manager for the Old Brigade.

And it seems he still has to Prove himself to the New Brigade. He will.

LENNY is coming into his Prime and he is Rolling with things rather well.

Who o we play at right back, centre half and left back on Saturday?

    On the AstroTurf

We have Rennes in midweeek after this game

    Over to Lennybhoy

  5. NorrieM – that was exactly what I was thinking, team selection is going to be interesting.

I think some of the new bhoys might get a run out.

Bauer at RB and Etam Hammed rested??

Julien and KA if fit, if not I cannot think just now…

It will be interesting and even though we have strengthened the squad, certain pitches can cause issues and makes the squad smaller again. For example with injuries and guys that might come back if on grass etc.

    Aff oot, work beckons

My guess is Bauer, Elhamed, Julien, Boli

If Ajer is fit maybe he steps in ahead of Elhamed

We know Jozo and Bitton won’t play

  7. We need a Big squad because, we just do.

Brilliant that Neil cannae be hated so much.

The Hun Celebrated him being Appointed.

He is a an absolute GENIUS of a mind.

Fair play to SG, he will be a Good Manager elsewhere.

    Celtic is Blessed.

  8. Siempre Celtic (formerly Traditionalist88) on

Lets not get to March/April next year wishing we had a few more points in the bag as its too close for comfort.

Best available 11 for these games, get the job done then we can use the bench to rest whoever needs it.

We’re only early September so fatigue is not a major issue right now.

Best team out on the pitch, as Paul67 has alluded to in the past give someone an excuse and they’ll probably use it. If faitgue is an issue the manager will act accordingly. Otherwise, lets cut the talk of tiredness and concentrate on transmitting energy to the team rather than trying to pick it based on how many games players played last season.

Our young bhoys are well able and chomping at the bit to get out on the pitch.
