A Europa League tie against Rennes on Thursday would normally set midweek pulses racing but when Celtic have such a crucial game ahead in the fight for second place Neil Lennon has a major decision to make, does he rest players for the Motherwell game?
Sunday’s game at Fir Park is set to become one of the most important games of the season for Celtic and I’m sure Neil would prefer a clear midweek to prepare for it, but resting players, with the inherent increased chance of defeat, could further damage fragile morale.
Celtic need a confidence boosting win but they need heads focussed on beating Motherwell even more. The consequences of defeat on Thursday are unpleasant, but the consequences of defeat on Sunday are incalculable.

celtic are my team till the day i die i want them win i hate when we lose,also i hate myself when i see the way we are playing at the minute its not good enough,the manager and his backroom staff i believe cant motivate the players ,being played out of position not even a settled side yes there are injuries but out of the ones that are injured the only one that us fans seem to miss is izzy,some couldnt give too hoots about kelvin wilson or scott brown playing for celtic again.so after sundays game against motherwell win lose or draw ,neil lennon will part company with celtic football club and be replaced by one of coaches that look after the youths. and for you paddy gallagher do i want lennon sacked or removed or whatever the answer is yes.
