Europe a sideshow to league duty at Fir Park

1000

A Europa League tie against Rennes on Thursday would normally set midweek pulses racing but when Celtic have such a crucial game ahead in the fight for second place Neil Lennon has a major decision to make, does he rest players for the Motherwell game?

Sunday’s game at Fir Park is set to become one of the most important games of the season for Celtic and I’m sure Neil would prefer a clear midweek to prepare for it, but resting players, with the inherent increased chance of defeat, could further damage fragile morale.

Celtic need a confidence boosting win but they need heads focussed on beating Motherwell even more. The consequences of defeat on Thursday are unpleasant, but the consequences of defeat on Sunday are incalculable.

Don’t you feel that, just a tiny little bit of yourself feels foolish when you talk about, “how much you/we pay Lawwell ?”

I mean, for how much longer will we as a support be, taken-in by Lawwell etc ?

I excuse myself because, I no longer pay a single penny to a bunch of, charlatans to torture my emotions!

For me it’s simple; I don’t know. You apparently do so let’s have the name please

I’m sure that, Paul 67 said somthing along the lines that, the hun players with the 5 year deals will be made redundant and, those with less than 2 years will be paid-up ?

It seems more likely that Whyte is merely hangning (for all he’s not worth) till the up-and-coming tax tribunal, since it is just possible that the Foe Malign can ‘win’ this tribunal, in which case Whyte has hit the effin’ jackpot.

Even if he/they win, Admin will still happen within a few months (at the latest).

I know the name of the ‘alleged’ backer. That name is common currency throughout Glasgow. I don’t get involved in all this Rangers stuff and therefore don’t post rumours or allegations about it. I am very surprised however that no one else has intimated who it is.

It is a bit like all the aggro over what is happening behind the scenes at CP. I don’t post on that either, but I seem to know a helluva lot more about the reality of the relationships (or lack of them) than is posted on here.

I’ll keep my confidences if you don’t mind, and as MWD alluded to in the case of Craig Whyte’s backer, my knees also.

However and seriously, if you are passing Sharkeys, pop in and If I am there (Matt’s the name, Lager’s the game) I’ll tell you. Always good to have a chat with a fellow Tim.

  21. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Good Morning to the Celtic Family from a fresh but sunny Central Scotland.Well lots of rumours and counter rumours this morning. However, lets deal in some facts Neil Lennon is still the Celtic manager and as such deserves the backing of the Celtic support so called supporters coming on here asking for him to be sacked and when asked who would replace him they havnt a clue not good enough Bhoys. Now im no different from the rest of the support im not happy with our results I am not happy with our league position and im not happy with all the rumours but to slag Neil when he is struggling is like kickng him in the teeth at this moment in time he needs all the support he can get if we have any chance of turning things around.Neil has had a hard time as both a Celtic player and Manager but he has stuck with it many lesser men would have walked away so lets back Lennie and his management team and leave it to the board to decide if and when his time is up.H.H.
