Grown-up footballers, Mourinho accused of cheating, Linfield lucre

371

When did footballers get all grown-up? Jonny Hayes offer to pay for new Aberdeen strips which had his name emblazoned on them, before his transfer to Celtic, is just such a thoroughly decent thing to do. He added a condition that the strips he bought back were donated to a worthy cause.

Small gestures go a long way in the game. I suspect this guy will surprise a few on the upside.

Linfield want to face Celtic at an early kick-off on 11 July for financial reasons, instead of taking the second leg to Belfast a week later, when, you have to assume, they expect the competitive element to have gone from the tie. 11 July is no less combustible in Belfast than the 12th (it is technically more combustible).

Kick-off at 9am, let the football fans watch their team in without the distraction of Belfast’s nocturnal July activates, or switch the first leg to Glasgow. And then hold the second leg at 9am in Belfast.

Jose Mourinho was thing morning accused of being a cheat! The Spanish tax authorities are 14 years and one month behind Celtic fans. Pay your tax or Karma will get you every time.

Move around from club to club, because you are an in demand footballer, and when it is all over and you hang up your boots you are a legend nowhere.

There’s a young man who wants to be a legend.

If he was offered a new, extended contract he’d be a happy garçon.

Another Bhoy who has the world at his feet goes back to training on Thursday. He’s had a nice few days in Dunblane with his young lady.

    His pal?

    Looking unlikely AT THE MOMENT.

It’s going to be a long, hot summer…

    Thanks.

So, as regulars will know, I don’t give up when met with silence.

Matts Nilloc, again, can you explain your point, what reasons “other than football reasons” Celtic supporters would attend a game played by Celtic?

    Not an intellectually challenging question.

  5. Thank you to all for your prayers and kind thoughts regards the recent death of my Aunt Mary.

  8. Folks a batch of evening invitations for the upcoming nuptials haven’t been delivered unfortunately. If you were expecting an invite (I’d asked for your address) and you haven’t received it please let me know.

In addition to this I misplaced (not lost dearest!) the list for my pre wedding man drinks on Saturday so can’t remember who was informed and who wasn’t. So basically if you know me and fancy buying me drink this weekend get in touch.

Celtic supporters go to Celtic matches for one reason only. To support Celtic. Has Tam Collins been at it again?

The CQN steering committee has decided that Celtic supporters should be prevented from going to Belfast.

Im just waiting for the next batch of orders in regard to bed blocks, hair length, shiny boots, and circuit training:)

    Talk about control freaks.

No chance of stopping Celtic supporters from going to the game at Windsor Park, especially our Irish supporters.

Paulthetim on Twitter 4 hours ago.

Celtic should take tickets for Linfield, if the police can’t handle it then move the venue.

    Good man Paulthetim.

He better watch out for his tweets being deleted :-)))

P.S. Just in case anyone thinks, I think Paulthetim and Paul 67 are one and the same, I know they are not. :-))

  23. Celtic will do very little serious transfer business until our European destiny is decided.

Then we will see our resolve tested with bids being considered for Dembele , Simunovic ,,Sviachencko ,& Tierney .

We hopefully have replacements ear marked.

  24. In october last year i found out, to initially great shame, that my ancestor fought on the “wrong side” at the Boyne. I then researched the battle to find out the truth. the boyne was not catholic v proddy. in a matter of fact the pope was a fan of the winning side.

however protestant propoganda described it as a protestant victory hence the invention of the 12th day parades.

Would it not be grand to remind those knuckle draggers, at windsor park, on the the 11th of july, that the pope celebrated William’s victory as well!!

that the pope supported william and their anti catholic triumphalism is based on fantasy!! it would get them thinking!

  25. fergusslayedtheblues on

So it looks like it may be us against sevcos pre season fodder ,will we be played on to the pitch by the local band .

Make no mistake about this ,the knuckle draggers will be salivating at this tie .

What a chance to do their worst in the midst of peepil who welcome them wholeheartedly ,full in the knowledge that any backlash will be felt by the mighty linfield .

It truly is a once in a lifetime chance for the most vile and bigoted of them all to have a real good sash bash to start the celebrations off .

although looking on the bright side at least the Chelsea fans can have the day off

  26. JimmynotPaul, I blame the mods for deleting post!

DD, yes he has, well last night, but he still hasn’t answered my question, so I’ll ask it, now and again, a gentle prod to see if he can answer.
