Hummel, Elite, rescind Newco agreement, start proceedings

Hummel UK and The Elite Group issued a statement today noting they were rescinding their agreement with Rangers FC [sic.] with immediate effect, “due to the club being in material breach of contract.”  They add that they have commenced legal proceedings against the club.

The statement reads:

“Hummel UK & The Elite Group was proud to have entered into a supplier agreement with Rangers Football Club in good faith in March 2018.  We saw this as an opportunity to work together for the benefit of the club, its supporters and the Hummel brand.

“However, despite being given warranties and assurances by the Rangers board that the club was free to enter into their arrangement, it transpired that Rangers had previously signed a conflicting agreement with a third party.

“The club has therefore been unable to fulfil its obligations to Hummel & The Elite Group, which would have included the creation of a Hummel branded area within the Ibrox Megastore, along with crucial marketing activity such as perimeter advertising, player activations, and promotion on the Rangers FC website.

“Hummel UK & The Elite Group has nonetheless made payments to Rangers totalling c. £2.5m and supplied kit worth approximately £1m.  Despite doing all of this in good faith, we are now facing some public statements from Rangers which are not correct.

“We have been unable to find a way forward despite making repeated efforts to reach out to the club.  It is with regret that we have therefore rescinded our agreement with Rangers FC with immediate effect, due to the club being in material breach of contract.

“We remain willing to try and resolve matters with Rangers FC on an amicable basis.   Contrary to reports, Rangers is not owed any further payments from Hummel UK & The Elite Group at this time and we are disappointed by Rangers’ decision to commence legal proceedings in respect of these issues.  Those proceedings will not result in any payment to Rangers and are an unwelcome and unnecessary distraction for the club, its fans and Hummel.

“We have now begun our own legal proceedings against Rangers which we are very confident will result in a positive outcome so we can all move forward.”

This afternoon, Newco Rangers online store’s is selling Puma produced replica shirts from the 2017-18 season.

Next week, I plan to discuss financial matters with significant consequences for Newco.  They should not get too excited about the prospect of two Scottish entrants to the Champions League in 2021.

Also, I have had the statement since before 10:00 this morning (been in meetings since).  Curious that it has not been carried by the mainstreams.

Lot of praise for Celtic and how they are coping in the modern world without

Oh, and Jordan Peterson is a climate change denier so anything he says should be viewed in that prism – ie someone who instead of taking the word of 98% of scientists chooses to go with the 2% who are being paid by the oil companies. Exactly like the ‘scientists’ who still deny any link between smoking and cancer.

    …………………..

Being brought up in the ToonHeid and East End, I well remember the Dennistoun Palais but I was too young to go to the dancing there, but when I was around 14/15, it closed for the Jiggin and reopened as a Roller Skating Rink ( around 1968/1969 ? ).

I would go with my mate on a Saturday morning from 10am-12 noon. The disc jockey would play records, mostly The Love Affairs ” Everlasting Love”, while us Boys tried to roller skate and chat up the Burds.

I wasnt too successful with the roller skating or the Burds, and once it came to 12 Noon it closed for two Hours for the Saturday afternoon Matinee between 2pm- 4pm.

Between 12 Noon we would go to a local Chippy, and get a bag of Chips and a Bottle of Ginger, and head back to join the queue for the afternoon matinee.

Soon after I discovered ICE Skating, and that suited me as I was better at that than roller skates., and this led to me having more success with the Burds when I was at the Ice Skating, as I could “show aff” !

    LOL

My regards to yourself and PADDY.

  7. Hope we get a full 90 minutes from celtic today in what could be a tough game . That game through the week could and should have been over in the first half had we taken our chances . Hope broonie makes it today as he is the only man who supplies the dig in midfield , something that’s been sadly lacking in our team for too long ,we have some great skillful players no doubt but unfortunately not up for a battle when we encounter the rough stuff . Which is the only concern I have when going to there midden in a few weeks . Soro has been mentioned as having that in his game , is he ready to be unleashed, anyway .mass then parkhead for me . HH

It would appear that the global population disagrees.

Jordan Peterson . Somehow more famous and more popular than any of the anonymous nonentities above mentioned .

How many books did they sell ?

” According to Random House Canada, the book was handled properly for the US market. On August 6, Jordan Peterson announced that the book had sold over 2 million copies. On January 13, 2019, Jordan Peterson announced that the book had sold about 3 million copies.”

  11. Good morning CQN from a wet but wind free Garngad, surprisingly still and calm outside we must be in the eye of another storm.

My team for today, which will be totally wrong:

    Forster

El Hamed (if fit) Simonovic Julien Taylor (if fit)

    Jamsie. Ajer. Cal Mac. Elyounoussi

    Eddie. Griff

There is no chance of that right enough, just thought even if Broonie fit rest him, if El Hamed fit get him on from start get him game time then bring him off later in the game.

If El Hamed and Taylor still not fit slot in Bauer and Frimpong.

  17. MACJAY1 FOR NEIL LENNON

I think it is best to concentrate on the football.

Some people have their pre-set ideas that are generally fed to them by the mainstream.

Jordan is neither tight wing or left wing.He is as far from being racist as anyone I can think of.

He is no fan of modern feminism but a huge admirer of genuine feminism.

I agree with him on most issues and he has educated my own tiny brain on so much including on dealing with the death of my father and the resignation of my wife.

Unfortunately I was the one who raised Jordan Peterson’s name up on this thread.

To me he is an outstanding man.

Perhaps there are far brighter figures out there but Jordan is the one who has framed stuff in a way even modest people like myself can understand.

He has his own personal battles at the moment but when last I heard he was on the road to recovery.

I was watching his stuff on youtube over five years ago before he achieved mass fame.

Helped me so much at the darkest period in my life.

Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but he does not deserve to be labelled some kind of ‘dark’ character as all I ever seen was the mans humanity , compassion and of course honesty.

  18. £25 million for CalMac is a non starter imo. We all know all our players have a price but if we sell CalMac for less than 35 million, I’d be disappointed. 25 is close to insulting.

I also wouldn’t like to see us sell CalMac and Eddie in the same window. If one goes, the other should stay.

  19. When we walked down the tunnel at the superb copenhagen stadium on thursday and saw four full stands of passion and noise I must admit I thought game was going to be a real test of this team.

For all the glory of Rome it has to be said the matchday pressure that night was not what it could have been.

Certain amount of Europa League apathy certainly exist in the top leagues.

Of course we should have won on chances. But when you take a step back you can only admire what Neil Lennon is turning us into on a european stage.

Full of creativity and full of guts.

Rarely have we looked so accomplished away from home in difficult venues as this team looks.

    Exciting times for us .

    Back to today.

    Important to never underestimate fixtures.

For us to lose this league now it really needs a big one off upset to happen.

A slender win today at parkhead against killie will be as important as any league result this season.

Our nearest rivals are praying and hoping that we slip up somewhere…they need us to slip up.

Another 3pts today is a wood dagger right through their vampire hearts.

  20. right bhoys calm down think it will be 4 or 5 nil someone is going to get a real doing soon most important is the 3 points keep the huns at bay they cant handle the presure me and mrs Chanty going out at 2 for sunday lunch and a few beers back home to see game on Celtic t v its only 22 decree at the moment its a hard life but someone has to do it HH
