    I agree the defence is wide open but that appears to me the way B.R wants to play. The problem is teams at a higher level than us will score plenty against us.

     

    Were you behind the goal for ICT first goal? Just wondering, if so, what you and the crew thought, should DDV have saved it. I watched it a few times and couldn’t make up my mind whether or not to give him the benefit of the doubt.

    Who cares about the money, it was a win/win scenario.

     

     

    Gamboa looks very rash, hopefully he will settle down.

     

     

    What concerns me is that when you push the full backs forward, you need centre halves with pace incase you lose the ball cheaply. Erik doesn’t have pace and that could easily have been exposed today. He’s a decent big defender but i think Tuesday may have shot his confidence.

     

     

    It was one of those games that with every chance missed you could see them equalising and so it happened.

    Well done to the bhoys today, some good Football, of course we need to be more clinical and finsh teams off…

     

     

    Especially with thay Achilles’ heal of ours… but credit where credirs due Caley stuck to their task and their keeper played well.

     

     

    The Penalty!? It would be given most times but the ICT player was looking for it, his last touch wasn’t great and Svietkenko had a chance to make the challenge then Draper’s obstructed him and gone down.

    The League Table is settling down now, see Newco are still in the top half… Good to see but a few good teams below them, won’t be easy to hang on…

    We really do have this Achilles’ heal, now the only way I can see of strenghtening this was suggested here a while back.

     

     

    Now as a rule I’m not in favour of playing Footbalkers out of position… but if we can get Simunovic up to full fitness why not try Erik in midfield… remember what hapoened when we played that winger we got from Feyenord up front?

    Cheers JP, I’ll pass on your thoughts to GG. Really good to have a wee catch up, I’ll have a look for that penalty photo at some point. Don’t know if you remember this but I had a knackered 110 camera on that trip and it combined about 20 photos into the one snap, so you can make you out but only just. It’s like the footage of the 4v2 game in 79!

    Joey is a bit mad but I doubt very much he’d use that expression. Have many contacts in the south and any expression of ‘fenians’ or ‘ orange’ just leaves them perplexed.

     

    on the other hand if a sectarian expression was used towards him then he might retaliate from the dictionary most commonly used at the venue he now populates.

    Draper played for it and ref didn’t fall for it. Simple.

     

     

    However, if Thomson was mib in middle it would have been red & penalty. Too good an opportunity to miss for him. Remember Efe?
