  1. St Johnstone struggling Hearts struggling and Kilmarnock all struggling before they faced Celtic

Might be a a case of a manager carrying the club mission statement a bit far forward regarding charitable causes

  2. 4-3 anyone………

    Ever the optimist!

Btw I’m not shocked or disappointed I’ve come to expect it

    HH

  3. Young Forrest looks like the only player with any fight.

We’ll be lucky to finish second this season.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse. Shambles from top to bottom.

There we have it, in the history of the premier league Celtic have never trailed 0-3 at half time..ever!!

Is Lou Macari looking for a job?

  4. MISTAKES BY THE MANAGER ARE TOO LONG TO LIST. PUBLICLY CRITICISING PLAYERS THAT HE HAS PICKED. WE CANNOT AFFORD SENTIMENTALITY IF WE WANT TO WIN ANYTHING. I CANT BELIEVE WE HAVE CONTRIVED OUR CURRENT POISTION.

NEED I SAY IT AGAIN. 10 POINTS BEHIND A HUN TEAM WHO WILL BE DEDUCTED 10 POINTS MILLIONS WASTED PLAYERS PUBLICLY CRITICISED, RUMOURS OF PLAYERS BEING BOUGHT BY NON FOOTBALL STAFF… WE NEED TO REMOVE THESE IMPOSTERS BEFORE THEY DO ANY MORE DAMAGE OR PICK ANOTHER INCOMPETENT MANAGER. WHOSE NEXT? MARK MCGHEE? AN ABSOLUTE JOKE

  5. A sad impersonation of a celtic team!!no cohesion,no leadership,no trying!!!feel sorry for lenny,if the team are not playing for you, then he has to go!!

I am in Lisbon with work. Waiting for taxi to take me to Estadio Nacional for the pilgrimage I have wanted to make all my life.

I feel like cancelling the taxi and just going back to my room. This should be one of my happiest days as a Celtic man. Instead it is one of the worst.

    Heart sick.

Go , and remember a real team of Celtic men.

Agree with all you said, why can’t the management see this?

  8. and looking at Lennon sitting on the bench with the 3 stoogies, he looks like he’s given up the ghost as well. he looks like Mowbray at St Mirren

  9. Hooper should have been off a long time ago. I dont think these players have a day’s work in them. I called for Lennon to be appointed as soon as Mowbray showed he had lost it. If he loves the Club as he says he does and we dont turn this around in the second half, Neil should resign as soon as this game is over.

  10. Of course we all support Lenny the man what he endured off the pitch is indeed Scotlands shame

However this is a management team which has lacks game intelligence

Lenny needs experienced help, im afraid the Einstein theory of insanity especially in relation to the Celtic midfield

The midfield once again was set up to light, lacks balance, strength and discipline, Kayal is ill disciplined and ineffective, Ki is anonymous, Ledley is not a wide left midfielder.

  11. Henrik's Golden Boot on

I decided in the last fortnight since tynecastle not to attend today’s game, and I am glad I haven’t, Neil lennon’s time is up, but the whole club is rotten to the core, I would like to see O’Neill or Hughes come in, but the Celtic board have no ambition, a long season ahead, a very sad day indeed :(

I’d keep Neil Lennon and sack Lawwell rather than sack Neil Lennon and keep Lawwell.

It is not Peter Lawell that these players are not performing for Neil will never turn this malaise around it is to far down the road, by the way Lawell also needs to go

  13. Ive never seen a more gutless performance…imposters in Celtic jerseys.

Peter Lawell…I hope you are out the door sharpish…you fool.

  14. jinkyredstar cuts it back for Neil Lennon on

To focus only on the 2nd half-

Kayak must not appear- he won’t last 10 mins

Hooper is out of it – Bangoura

Play for the jersy’s- I doubt they have it in them

That bliddy Yellow strip – burn it tonight

‘and looking at Lennon sitting on the bench with the 3 stoogies, he looks like he’s given up the ghost as well. he looks like Mowbray at St Mirren’

That’s what working under Lawwell does to you.

  16. Harald Flatpack on

Lawell carries out the policy of the board he doesn’t dictate policy. Lawell goes and another enforcer arrives.

Neil Lennon was a gamble as he was a novice. John Reid is a populist, Lennon was pushed forward to provide the support with a Celtic minded manager. It was always a risk which for much of last year looked like being rewarded. Now the pressure is on Neil lacks the experience to deal with it. That team should not be losing with the ease it does, however our inexperienced coaching staff do not know how to turn it around.

If we lose today Neil may walk.

  17. I’ll be at the park to tell MR LAWELL exactly what I think of HIS running of MY club at the end of the game.

    This must stop now!

  18. Is there anybody out there who still believes Lenny will “turn it around” or that “he’s learning”?

Personally, I didn’t believe the title was over after Hearts. However his time was. He should have gone then. This defeat is one too many and we’ve gifted Rangers FOUR IN A ROW and a maiden title to an inexperienced fat game show host. Sickened.

  19. Neil "Penfold" Lennon on

Neil is far from blameless here but there is no point in him going if Lawell stays.

    Sad.

  20. All this talk of replacing the manager. If he goes, who will replace him?? Forget MON, Coyle, Moyes and Lambert.

You can demonstrate all you want against the board; it isn’t going to change anything.

  21. A sorry mess.Lenny go with your pride intact.

Celtic captain Mulgrew, says it all.Never mind lads .Club has no debt,PL will get his bonus.Slan

  22. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

Very sad for Neil Lennon, who is one of our greats and has been completely exploited and left twisting in the wind by the suits at CP. Mr Lawwell, permisison to panic. YOU should resign. You have presided over the most pathetic downward spiral from a position of strength in the history of our club. You disgust me.

  23. Lennon

    Mowbray

    Strachan

    What binds them together

A CEO who is a total failure, and a bunch of forelock tugging sycophants who refuse to accept the obvious

If Lawell had ANY, and i mean ANY, integrity he would do what Jock Brown did and resign tonight. He is an unmitigated disaster. A self absorbed incompetant. He is completely inappropriate as a leader of Celtic, and if Ian Bankier wants to avoid the same failed stigma of his predecessor he MUST hand Lawell the envelope tonight

    Utter shambles, almost beyond comment

  24. tommytwiststommyturns on

Barca/JF – this is not a time for “I told you so”. We need to pull together and get the message across to the people running our club.

Why are these same players not playing for the manager this season? Too many for it not to be a problem with the coaching team. They have to go and experienced people brought in….including a new CEO.

We need to find a way of getting the message to Desmond….disrupt his pro-ams, whatever!

    T4

  25. Sad sad day for Neil. He must be appalled at the attitude of the team. If he does go and this is looking like a doing, who can we get in. Nobody of any stature will take the job I fear. The club has no money and is stuck in a crap league with nowhere to go. Dark days indeed.

  26. Paul67 et al

It is hard to believe but I was actually at Rugby Park, might be one or two others or here as well, when we got beat 6-0 by Killie in the pre Jock Stein days. Keep playing like we are and that score will be repeated. Why does Neil Lennon continue to believe that, after the evidence of recent seasons, that he can play two midfielders against five away from home? It simply does not work, and you know something it will never work.

  27. Ten Men Won The League on

If we lose this game, imo Lenny will resign

If he has any morals whatsoever, Lawwell will step down with him

If he doesn’t, to the car park we go after home games

  28. Before the blog is polluted by the very many masqueraders/huns I would like to comment that Lenny has to go prior to being pushed. The job is too big for him as it was for Tony Mowbray.

Being a success on the park doesnt lead you to be a success as a manager.

Reality bites…..Anyone think our Board will take actions that will excite us…

    Nah,me neither
