I know. I’m just surprised I got that reaction about KC. We have seen far better players than him and he really has caused Neil additional grief he could have done without. This notion that all Celtic players are immune to some home truths is half the problem. People are losing their jobs left, right and centre and yet he was probably at home today twiddling his thumbs as NL’s job hung in the balance.

Football, has lost its head. Loonatics are runnning the asylum. My suggestion is a good one. Would rather watch an 18 year old Celt who loves the club, than a 15K a week player with no loyalty or respect for the people who pay his wages.

Getting out of jail is exactly how I’d put it.

This is a defining moment for Neil. First thing Monday morning he should get his players in Lennoxtown and tell exactly what is required of Celtic players. He should use todays results to galvanise his squad.

Strangely enough I feel the momentum is with us tonight.Neil must harness that. Today will amke or break him.

  4. Careless from Rangers today.

    Celts back in the game.

Lets use today as a turning point.

The Europa League has become a distraction but a win against Aberdeen next Sunday will set us up for a long winter assault on the summit.

    Hail hail

  5. Na bother Blantrye.

Just re-read minus the swear words.

    Such sensitivity.

    Ooohh!!

  6. Before the game were close to the last chance saloon, i.e.. …we couldn’t afford to drop any more points in the immediate fixtures.

The St Mirren effort is only a crumb of comfort and should not divert our scrutiny of our current displays.

So although you can never knock a comeback the display and position we got into 3-0 is as we know unacceptable.

We could highlight the Stokes miss but they had equally a lot of other chances to score and yes more than we did. Even after getting it back to the 3-3 we could easily have lost it at the death with their glaring header miss, again where was the defence.

Neil Lennon has to get on top of this very quickly especially the engine room which today was atrocious.

They job that he no doubt loves and craves success in is at stake.

I may not use the same language as you on here but I totally understand where you are coming from.

Fair play to you for going to the game today mate.

  9. Not long back in the house from the killie. Not read back and don’t plan to. Had the pleasure of supporting our team with HamiltonTim for the whole 2nd half. That was a big last 20 mins for the team. There is many questions, yes, but BELIEVE – we will kick on and win this league.

The biggest thing I noticed today was how the support can drive a team on to do something, to get something from nothing, to make a difference. This team is young and needs us-remember that the next time you feel the need to boo or shout abuse at CP.

    Positive for us today (somehow)

    Negative for them today

Confidence, belief and momentum, better than any player u could buy

Could be a turningpoint for us ( or shape of things to come)

I would be pretty certain Neil has hammered home the message more than once already thus season.

Today wasn’t a one off. In less than 2 years we have had to endure humiliation at St Mirren, against Ross County, against Utrech, Braga and Sion. We showed weakness and lack of character at Inverness last season and this season at Ibrox and Tynecastle and today we played for 45 minutes in a way that would have had the Brechin City manager going dolallly if that was his teams performance.

Regardless of finance we knew MON picked , signed and believed in all of his players. They were his guys. GS clearly had the same relationship in his first 2 years. Since then things have changed. Mowbray’s dreadful signings gave Lawell the opportunity to strip

Och just James having a wee hissy. Normal degree of miscomprehension between Feelers and Thinkers/Doers and James was just genuinely expressing it.

Now if anyone wants to know how Thinkers, Feelers and Doers respond to the world and each other I could bore the rear end of everyone so I will not, but it sure helps knowing what type is at play.

  20. Not read back yet, too scared !

As mad as it sounds I think that could be a vital point today. Clearly we have serious problems though.

I hope Neil can find some stability because we are not our of it by any means but we will be very soon if the ship isn’t steadied.

On a day of chronically poor performances I would contrast the ill disciplined, inneffective prima donna posturings of Beram Kayal with the heart, desire and work ethic of young James Forrest today. He didn’t have his best game ever but that 19year old led his men in the second half today and did his gaffer proud. Well done son.

Keep the faith folks, hail hail.

Does anyone really believe Neil has the final say on who we sign ?

Thats where the problem starts. It is merely symptomatic of the way the club is being mismanaged.

Now we have heard all the negatives about the first half today – but is anybody going to step up and give our manager some credit, for ringing the changes at half time? It was broke,no two ways about it – but Lenny fixed it,Lenny was brave,he changed the tactics. His job was on the line. The introduction of El K was a master stroke.

How great his team talk must have been – he rallied the troops, and they came out fighting.

And now i am going to give some credit to a few of our players – Tony Stokes: Had some balls, for even taking that free-kick after his earlier miss – he never gave up,and must have great confidence in his own ability.Wanyama: fought like a lion – a must start in every game from here on in.Wee Matthews: again, big heart from the kid.Last but not least: Wee Jamesy Forrest, another youngster, but he played like a real man out there today,a class act.

Utter garbage. I didn’t stand outside the ground in 1994 stopping people like yourself drag my club to the verge of closure on an ego trip. I did it for the Celtic supporters like the ones today at Kilmarnock to whom Celtic is our life.

We all said back then that we would never let the club get into this position again, however, we have taken our eye off the ball and have been more interested in the demise of Rangers in recent years than the problems within our own club that have lead to the situation we find ourselves in today.

The Hearts game has brought a stop to this way of thinking and more and more people like myself are set on bringing the Lawell era to a firm halt.

If you cannot assist us don’t condem us as you’ll be one of the first in the que to buy a season ticket when our club becomes a success once again as you no doubt did during the Martin O’Neil era.

  24. I am Neil Lennon on a celticrollercoaster on

What a day today!!! Our weaknesses where there to see. No leaders on the pitch, Kayal trying to get off the pitch anyway he can, Ki outnumbered. 1 forward minded player, and that was Bangura (looking a great buy Peter, eh!?!) on the bench and 3-0 down at half time.

Step forward young Forrest and Stokesy with a mammoth rescue mission. 2 men rising high from this shmabolic group. Really thought if we got the winner, then that could be the turning point for the season, but it wasn’t to be.

Then with the orcs drawing we are at status quo again from this morning, except we have negated a difficult away game against an easy home game for them.

Would love Lenny to move away from the party line and tell us how he is operating with one hand behind his back re signings.

Anyway, what’s this about a party at Zambian Bhoy’s place in the Jock Stein?:-)

  25. On the point being made about – being no worse off than we were at 12:30pm on here and on the radio. Is this really where we have sunk to?

Regrettably today’s performance and other results have cruelly exposed everything that’s wrong with the team and our coaching staff (leaving aside the board problem for the moment).

In the space of 4hrs 15mins we went through the entire gambit of the malaise:

    • 12:30 Yet another team shuffle – players out of position

    • Players under-performing – attitude

    • Shocking defending – conceding 3 goals before halftime

    • Poor tactics

Looking at being 13 points behind

    • A halftime reshuffle – another alleged striker?

    • A get-out-of-jail draw

    • More questions – could we have won it? Were we lucky we didn’t lose it?

    • They go 1 up

Now looking at 12 points behind

    • 16:45 They concede an injury time equaliser 1-1

We are still 10 points behind

    • The only positives – our away support showing what following Celtic is all about!

We will spend the next 2-3 days on the Blog – arguing, debating, name-calling and falling out about today. Unfortunately the problems we are currently facing will not go away any time soon.

We are going backwards and unless we are prepared to accept 2nd best then we need practical solutions now and if that means coaching and personnel changes in whatever format (help/ resignations/ player sales) so be it.

If we don’t resolve this now we might as well just cross our fingers and wait for the outcome of the RTC and their possible 10 point deduction – for a get-out-of-jail league title!

    H!H!

Was he just having a mare and could it have been foreseen by the manager?

I really like Kayal, but I got the impression early on that he was in the huff about something (no idea what), but it looked to me as if he was deliberately not covering back, deliberately trying to get sent off. I’m just glad that he was substituted. No idea what it was about, but that was how I felt watching the game on the tele.
