they’ve got a product, it’s not based on football but it’s very popular

Let’s just say my meeting with him was everything you hoped wouldn’t happen. At least he wasn’t skipper at the time, That would have broke my heart

If a draw at Ibrox has made you day less dark then good for you. There are too many dark clouds over Celtic park to let light in. Nothing that happened at Ibrox will change any of the many problems we have.

Off to mass to pray for our ailing club amongst many things.

I hope the performance today gives Lennon the evidence to drop kayal and hooper for a while.

Does anyone have any info on the dressing room or is it all conjecture ?

In radio interviews the players sound convincing, but is it all bluff ?

    And….Hello, Mrs O’Neil ?….yes….could we speak to Martin for a moment ?

Based on the second half performance today.

Based on the fact that the huns are pish.

We are going to kick on from here, the tables have been turned. For the first team our team started to fight, when our backs were against the wall.

And last but not least – our remarkable support – the hardcore, the one’s that refuse to lose faith – our so often vilified away fans, that keep supporting the team.

So what,if we lose 30,000 of the home gates? That only means that we will have 30,000 legends roaring the team on.

As Lenin once said – “better fewer, but better.” Means it is better to have 100 genuine people on your side, people that are solid, that believe – than to have 10,000 weak-minded doubters, with no heart.

Kilbowie Celt – the Tic have given me more pain than glory in my life and im in my mid forties! We can’t accept second best and you are a lucky man to live through 60 & 70s – me and most on here prob best we seen was MON era but then we also had their nine in a row to contend with. We deserve a bit of sustained success – you to!

Nice summing up. I wonder if Lenny is looking back at why he made the initial selection?

He must have had his reasons but what did the finsihing line up tell him?

    Glad I’m not a manager.

  10. My issue with the team is how easy we seem to lose goals. Now not being a football mastermind.

Can i ask what does our midfield do to help the center backs?

Also do our full backs charge forward to quick leaving the center backs exposed ?

Also why play wingers and overlapping fullbacks?

I am not having a go at the tactics as l see them but it does not make sense to me.

Ref Hooper,I agree, and perhaps he recognises this in himself, however rather than throw in the towel and wave his arms in a huff,he should increase his effort.

He may not be bulky but he is quick and could close down defences much more effectively,I can tolerate off form but I cannot tolerate bad attitude.

These guys do not seem to realise the effect they can have on folks like us after a bad result,if they dont get it then its only a job,and thats not what we need.

  17. I can’t tell you what I know.

But I do know it is beyond time for our management team to go.

Trust me – all bets off.

Love Neil Lennon – Guy is a legend – deserves to stay that way.

Depends on how many points they drop init? My point is the idea gaining momentum that they were incapable of dropping points took a dent today. Did you see the reaction when we pulled one goal back today?

Their dropping points might just be the equivalent or do you not do hope?

  19. BelfastCityCelt,

Nah I disagree mate, what I have seen today has only confirmed to me that we are guff! a must win game today, then go 3-0 down in the first half??? nah thats not on,…the fans where great yes, as usual, done well to get 3 back…that WILL NOT win us the title, I aint happy or optomistic about that…..I feel youre optomism is based more on the happenings at ibrox today.

They are going to get 4iar that is the harrowing truth,…now what are we going to do?? Is it time to panic yet???

Funny thing is, I was happy with the line up before the game, but after 20 minutes, the warning signs started to ring.

Do you think he’ll be sacked?

A wee bit unfair considering United sell their best players to anyone outbidding Rangers.

He always has his part time job to fall back on.

It’s not you Neil, it’s Us.

    We’re demanding.

    We can still be friends.

  24. Reading back and can’t believe some of comments about removing Lenny.

Even in another universe if MON came back, some of our current players may not take to him, and using the same logic, we would soon call for his heid as well.

    Punt the big time charlies.

    We need more Neil Lennons.

  25. if peole refuse to see how bad and how far we have fallen then its got to blindness or pig headedness,

good god thems across the city are sitting on a possible 4 in a row, you know thems who cannot get their

heads out of the sand and see whats happening to their club, yet we who have not won the title for the last three years mock them,

    ironic is not?

  26. Celtic Mac says:

Look. We agree on a lot. When I’m at CelticPark – like you I will support all, inparticular those who are mistreated by the fans. Always. Always. Always.

But I cannot abide players who make so little of my team. I put those three into that category. The demean me and my team and all supporters. They are skilled footballers who have been praised to the heavens. IMHO their heads have been turned. They do not want to be here – and their efforts – or lack there of would seem to me to prove it. My posts today are not knee jerk reactions. I have posted continually about their demeanour all season.

As for Neil getting criticism on these boards? In my opinion some of the criticism is justified. I know he’s been compromised with injuries but he should be getting better results with the players he’s got. We’re showing little signs of progress. The fact he’s from Lurgan does not blind me to some glaring deficiencies in his management

  27. BelfastCityCelt on

I say to you this – the hun is nervous.

    They toil,they grind,they kick,they labour,they get decisions,they are lucky…but luck doesn’t last forever,and their luck ran out today.

Tin Can Ally is their manager ffs! A buffoon of the highest order. It is easy to forget that fact.

If anybody on here thinks that this title is over, they need to go and see a psychiatrist.

Hail Hail to that, amigo. Been a while to read so much truth in such few words. Best Support & best Club in the world.

As i said to tomtheleedstim, was in Leeds the other weekend for a brill weekend of friendship, drink and music. On the Saturday afternoon all the Leeds supporters were walking by, and several came into the pub. I solemnly asked one of them the score as the atmosphere was numb to the point of unconsciousness. One nil, he told me. Who to? To us he replied in surprise at my asking. Nowt but glum coupons after 5pm. Sad to that in a Yorkshire.

We are in a different league with the support we have. We’ve had the same povertyeven more, to contend with, but unlike many other clubs, we also have the disadvantage of being unwelcome where we play. Charity in our minds, the club in our hearts :)
