I am one of the players many admirers but I don’t know anyone who would pay anything like that money for him.

Funniest thing tonight…
Was down in Cambuslang. The Black Bull, well-established rankers shop, was making a lot of noise. I was across the road in Finlays. They had a DJ blasting out sectarian choons.
When I went outside for fresh air (aka a fag), I heard the DJ urge them on thus… “Come on, its a race night… Weve hud nae bets on the furst race… Well, its cancellend tae we get sum bets…”
It seems they eventually got some bets, because about an hour later, the guy was using the same lines about race no. 2!
However, my main point is this. While enjoying my pint and smiling at the cabaret, I met the mostest nicest guy. Ignoring his own serious health problems, he displayed a humanity which made me feel ashamed at my own selfishness and which made me proud to be able to say, “I’m Stevebhoy from CQN.”
Step forward, whitedoghunch. Still don’t get yer username, but if you see this, thank you for an entertaining and uplifting evening. Yer mum must be proud of you. And when I got in the cab to go home, the driver asked me if I knew you. “What a guy, ” he said.
