BBC’s series, Scotland’s Game, has become compulsive viewing. Tales of redemption for Celtic, Hearts and others, and tales of woe for some. Last night’s episode had a few remarkably frank admissions.
One which caught the eye was former-Rangers former-manager, Alex McLeish, who admitted his title winning team “would’ve been behind [Celtic]” had they not funded their squad through EBTs. We should all take note for when the Big Tax Case reaches the Supreme Court.
Pleased to see the appropriate amount of damage done to Rangers by majority owner and chairman, David Murray, was correctly attributed, with one or two character defects throw in for good measure by contributing journalist, Tom English.
Aberdeen have nailed their proverbial flag to the mast this week with the word, “No previous meeting found” on their fixture list comment on a forthcoming game against Newco. It’s a simple comment, it’s accurate, has been confirmed in writing by Uefa and will position the club shoulder-to-shoulder with their fans.
Get it right, Celtic.

BEATBOY (and other), the cheating mibbery,bigotry and sectarianism has come from the “establishment” club from Ibrox since the early 20th Century. It was “condoned and accepted” by previous Celtic boards and fans by attending games up until 2012. It’s been out in the open since 2012.
I KNOW they are a new club; they KNOW they are new club; the SMSM KNOW they are a new club. We will let them know they are a new club on 10th September. I won’t let them dictate to me who I can go and watch my team play. No one does (except occasionally Mrs VFR – but that’s another story).
I have been supporting the Bhoys at Celtic park for around 50 years and I won’t stop until I am to infirm to go!

That’s not what I meant, when the support of Aberdeen and Dun Utd threatened NOT to buy season books, it forced the hand of their clubs, Thompson admitted it, the Celtic support didn’t threaten anyone or anything, they carried on as if nothing had happened, had the support felt strongly enough about them and their cheating they would have done the same as the Abdn and Utd supporters.
The time for protesting was when they died and were admitted back into the league, not now, it’s too late now, the deed is done.
You like everyone else had a choice, you exersised that choice.

Would fans be willing to give up the first 10 mins of a game like next Sundays as a protest? World wide cameras will be on this game and I believe that alone would make a sufficient statement. As would doing the same in a CL game if UEFA embarrass themselves by punishing the club in any way for GB and fans highlighting the Palestine issue.
Just a thought, however unlikely.

I agree, in so much as, we should have made the statement in 2012 when the liquidation process began. We’ve had two opportunities since, and nothing.
I never expected one.
I can’t agree that attending next Saturday is in any way condoning or validating them for the many, many thousands who’ve continued to go in the last 4 years and before.

When we were furnished with proof of the cheating, the cover ups etc that was when the support should have said no more till it’s sorted, they didn’t, so they have condoned what is happening today, yer SFA man Darrel said as much, unless the supporters take action they will carry on taking the piss, and they are taking the piss along with all your hard earned.
The only way you will get anything done, any kinda satisfaction is to withhold cash, it’s the only thing they and our suits understand.
That is the bottom line whatever way you look at it.
So when I say buying a season book is condoning them, I mean the bent game, the WWF scottish football game, the new club are at the heart of it.

Celtic won’t make a statement, no chance whatsoever.
We have already played the Newco twice. Why would we do it now?
I don’t want Celtic to make a statement. We should be bigger than that. I want Celtic to treat them like a Newco, no *Rangers, no OF, no history. Nothing else is necessary in the context of a football match.
I watched Brendan’s interview on Celtic TV. Summer Harl is from Norwich, she been here for less than 2 years and is a former Sky Sports employee. She didn’t say *Rangers or OF once when discussing the upcoming ‘Glasgow Derby’. Celtic employees are on point.
What I want Celtic to do more than anything is to lobby the SFA to rip up the LNS report and start again. That is the only real justice we can ever hope for.

Celtic board have the chance to let us supporters know we are worth more to them than the OF Pish and Same Rangers Pish. The matchday programme should point out that the away team is new to Scottish football with no history before 2012. If that upsets the SFA, the Scottish media, outraged huns, then so be it.
