Newco born from patronage of monetary inducements

740

Let’s be clear about what is going to happen on Friday.  Monetary inducements are being made to allow a newly created company to advance its football team two divisions up the league structure.

The overwhelming majority of money to pay for these financial inducements will be taken from Celtic, who vehemently oppose all these measures.  The SPL will reduce the commercial distribution to the top club in the league and pay-off everyone else.  41 teams will benefit financially from this proposition, only Celtic will lose.

For good measure, the SPL have declined to take gate sharing off the table.  Up to 30% of your season ticket money will soon be commandeered by Kilmarnock, Motherwell and the rest, who will take their slice and share some with the lower leagues.

All the while you can scarcely find a football fan of any club who is anything other than disgusted by this shoddy behaviour; Celtic fans are by no means isolated.  Most fans of former-club, Rangers, don’t want to see a phoenix assisted by such blatant patronage, lest Newco is forever known as a team which needed rules to be changed and money taken from Celtic to give it life.

Believe me, if Newco exists for 100 years, every day they score a goal someone will say, “They are only there because the rules were changed to help them and money was taken from Celtic to pay for it”.

They will forever be known as the Establishment club with definitive evidence that they benefited from the Establishment’s help.

The once-proud era of Scottish league football is surely over, what we are witnessing is merely evidence of this fact.  ‘Sport’ as gone from our football. Fans, clubs and the national bodies must accept this reality and start to make forward plans to breathe the oxygen of genuine competition into our game.

Where is Michel Platini when football really needs some help?

Money and morals rarely go hand in hand.

Celtic are by any going to have to downsize big time because of the impending changes.

Good players will, like the management team, get bored and leave. That happens at Celtic at the best of times but in the present, the worst of times, just watch them all making their play to get out the door.

This isnt Celtic’s doing but at a time when we should be hammering der hun et al with the fruits of a carefully delivered business plan what are we going to get for all our hard work?

    Nada. Nothing but more misery.

  2. I think I’ll ask Dan Brown to explain all this…..what’s going on in Scottish football is becoming so labyrinthine that my poor wee brain can follow it all no longer…..not even the money trail….it’s all become way too Masonic for me.

I just want to watch Celtic play.

I want the bad men to go away.

A few months ago I stumbled on some amazing conspiracy stuff on you tube about the twin towers.

So amazing that I actually believe that they done it to themselfs.

At the risk of being pedantic:

    1. Only one civilian aircraft ever has had the capability of flying supersonic. It was decommisioned because bits kept falling off.

    2. Twin Towers were designed to withstand progressive collapse, but not lateral dynamic impact (above ground).

I have a friend with who I went to the same school, who has 8 children and he is terrible rich. Good for him. He is probably the guy that suits your criteria. On the other hand….

I have another friend from same class and company. I’m godfather to one of the twins, he is godfather to another twin in the family. Professor at the age of 42, and just after that the Judge of the High Court here in Poland. You know, seven children and comfortable life. I met Andrew last week in the train going from Warsaw to our place. Andrew suffers multiple sclerosis. When we sat down I saw two young guys watching us and they probably thought that my friend was mental. Terrible experience to see friend whose life is changing in that direction that fast.

You would say poor guy. Yes he is poor in your criteria but it’s privilege to meet the guy who despite the circumstances is the most happy, always smiled guy.

Money is not everything, they come and they go, does not matter how much do you want to be rich and keep them on your bank account.

So let me get this right.

The SFA bar the transfer of ex Rangers’ players even thought the law is as clear as crystal on this issue.

The SFA and the SPL chief execs both deliver a constant barrage of pro SevCo propaganda whilst ripping up rules and trying to simultaneously bribe and bully SFL clubs into accommodating SevCo, a club with no history, no accounts, no credible fiscal security and no license into the league at the highest possible juncture.

All this whilst fans of all clubs, including the soon to decease Rangers, have been crystal clear in their desire for integrity of sporting competition to be upheld whatever the consequences for their individual clubs.

This will not do, it will not do at all.

    Do your duty SFL clubs.

    Respect the competition.

    Respect your fans.

I wouldnt put Alex Thomson down as a conspiracy theorist.

The guilty ruling of the EBT appeal case from the three judges concerned would have cast Der Hun into Sodom and Gammorah.

On the back of all the other misdeeds can you imagine the public scorn at the revelations that will befall Der Hun when they are found guilty of cheating the taxpayer to the tune of up to 75 million?

Now, imagine how the present scenario might play out for Der Hun, SFA, SPL and SFL if the EBT appeal case ruling was revealed at this time or any time previous?

Easter time was the predicted date for any EBT ruling. Yet not a peep since then.

Your conversations with 9/11 conspiracy theorists, in terms of substance, pale into insignificance in comparison to the cover up that’s going on with this EBT case.

Der Hun will be railroaded into SFL Div 1 under the auspices of a new company. Then the EBT ruling and Dual Contracts investigation will recommence into the old company. Nothing will detract the Establishment from that process. When the fait accompli is declared by the relevant authorities Der new Hun will escape the wrath of negative public opinion by playing the victim card. Murray and Whyte will be blamed whilst Rangers Newco re emerge debt free in Div 1.

It’s all been worked out. The Establishment of the old order are well in truly on board.

There’s none so blind as those that wont see.

  21. Ladies and gentlemen,

In the business world we use ‘Route Cause Analysis’ to establish what the actual problems are, to identify them before considering the benefit of potential appropriate solutions for a failing (or at least under performing) business.

In SFA world the root cause need not be further considered because it is already well known, is it not? The Scottish football club, formerly known as Rangers FC, cheated for a minimum of 10 years and were successful in what they set out to do, as evidenced by numerous national football achievements during that time, all under the watchful eye of the regulatory body, the SFA.

They are not looking at possible solutions based on proven business theory now, they merely support fraudulent (and potentially illegal) practice, and try to keep a failing business afloat without even stating what the cause of failure is, and compounding their tainted remit by proposing spurious business soloutions, thinly veiled as threats, to overcome evident wrongdoing on the part of ‘their’ champions.

Even worse, they are threatening the rest of the business community with commercial sanctions if their corrupt and self serving practiced is not maintained in perpetuity. It’s scarcely even believable, but remember that it is Rangers and the SFA we are talking about.

Evidence that the national sport’s governing body is unfit for purpose.? As if any more was actually needed.

    b) How does it benefit the business that is Celtic PLC to dole out our hard-earned cash to a group of business competitors, and how do the board justify that when they face a legal obligation to maximise benefits for shareholders?
