Last year at BMCUWP’s hootenanny in McChuills, many CQNers clubbed together and raised funds to buy something appropriate in memory of Wee Oscar. A fantastic amount was raised and we are delighted to announce a paving stone was purchased at very, very, favourable rates from Celtic, and now has its pride and place very close to the statue of Big Jock.
The tribute reads, Wee Oscar Knox, Heart of a lion, Courage of a champion.
Make sure you look out for it next time you are at Celtic Park.

‘God bless the boy who died at Celtic park last night.’
And God bless you too.
BMCUW well done.

The Red Telephone,
You made a very valid point @ 12.00hrs about differing treatment from the authorities and the media that our supporters receive compared with the ” Tartan Army”
The behaviour that you detailed would be front page news and the cells would be full, with the possibility of another government summit.
Even in “banter” it seems that some are more equal than others. Offensive behaviour seems only appropriate when its us.
HH to you.
PS : A warm welcome Scotbrownsbhoys.
Doctor whatfor
Than you kind sir …. Currently feeling pretty blessed sitting in a beach shack looking out at the Arabian Sea ;)
Sips
Who you calling a steamer .. I’m drinking water and hardly drink at the hoots
A marvellous tribute to wee Oscar.
Even BMCUW’s ‘middle-aged men behaving badly’ have hearts of gold.
HH!!
As wee change from the game last night and the referendum, who is the best european player you have seen in the flesh playing against us at Celtic Park.
Mine is Dragan Stojkovic of Red Star when we played them in a friendly on boxing day 1988. He ran us ragged.
I did see Cruyff in the two each game at Celtic Park and he was brilliant but Stojkovic was magnificent in that friendly game. He scored a cracking goal and was roundly applauded by most of us in the stadium.
Paul67,
A fine article.
That Wee Man was one of the Bravest Celts ever, of that there is no doubt.
The MSM really are from the gutter, you can just sense the lead up to the Question the interviewer was only interested in asking. Well Done Martin shutting him up pronto.
God Bless wee Aiden and Shaun.
Should now be the time I tell you I could play for 7 different nations?

Robert Prosinecki for Barca, never left the centre circle but dominated the game and Rai for PSG.
I will add Xavi, Iniesta & some wee guy called Messi playing against us but none played as well against us as Stojkovic did.
Dallas Dallas – mine would have to Prosenecki or the gap toothed Ronaldo when Barca visited for a friendly.
A section of Irish fans used to boo Rangers players in Dublin. Were they also guilty of abusive, sectarian behaviour?
Gary, Prosincki played for Red Star in the friendly game.
For an allegded heavy smoker, Prosinecki, was something else.
Rai tore us apart in that cup winners cup game. That was the most outplayed I have ever seen us in a game played at Celtic Park.
The Barca team were on another level but I loved seeing Riquelme playing for an excellent Villarreal team
There are, of course, many examples of players playing international football for countries other than the one they were born in. The same is true in rugby, cricket and probably most sports that have internationals.
So why is it only a Scots born Irish player who is abused?
I pray for the repose of the soul of Oscar and that the family can come to terms with the loss and experience they’ve been through.
Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas,
I am continually amazed at your memory. I struggle to even remember last nights game and definitely struggle to remember games when it was your duty to bring a “Cargo”
HH.
DALAS DALLAS – |Agree best performance ever by visiting player. Got standing ovation from jungle…well we were already standing. PS anyone else notice Maloney being booked for running into crowd……………. (‘Ref has no choice!)
A generation of expectation.

Caldwell did score own goals on three occasions, against Arsenal, Benfica and Aalborg. He currently holds the Champions League record for the most own goals in the competition.
Is he still getting a game
Most boo because they’d really have wanted Aiden to play for Scotland especially as at the time it was possibly the worst Scotland team ever!
Just seen on the Sky tinker-tape that Alloa have equalised against sevco……do do
Beefheart
Huns deserve booing wherever they go,don’t think you’ve made any kind of pertinent point.
Captain Beefy.

Dallas Dallas
Rai of PSG.
Couldn’t run, just stayed in the middle of the park and sprayed passes.
Totally controlled the game.
Wee brother of Socrates so he had the pedigree.
Totally destroyed us.
Was at the first leg in Paris , first away European trip . Got best 1 nil.
Must have been my drink addled brain but remember saying to my Dad that we would gub them at home and that they were no great shakes!!
Aye right, ripped us apart.
Loco I think scored twice and we were lucky to escape at 3-0.
Best away team I saw in Paradise.
Dallas
who was the Norwegan who tore us apart when wee murdo came back with dortmund

Wit ur they like….
Remember one game in Dublin some obscure team playing Ireland in a friendly had a hun playing for them, there was some mix up in numbers between the programme and the numbers the players wore. Some innocent poor soul got booed every time he touched the ball throughout the game and the Hun player got away scot free.
Jesper Olsen gave Danny Mac a roasting in the 2-2 game against Ajax at Celtic Park. We all thought we were oot after that, we all know what happened then.
Most hun players in my adult life were taking taxpayers money and the rest,in whichever era, were and are protected by the bombproof refs association.
Don’t try n tell me men like that don’t deserve to be booed, please, ffs.
PSG at Celtic park… The phrase we were lucky to get 0 jumps to mind…
Some on here need to dry their eyes and give the victimhood a rest. Aiden got booed because he turned his back on the country where he was born and raised. His choice, but to suggest that every Scotland fan booing him last night was a sectarian bigot is utter garbage
Fao DD and Pfayr – The wee horse won Bhoys.
Price wasn’t great, but sure…
Toul yiz a did.
:D
