While captain Scott Brown will return to first team action this week, with the league encounter with Aberdeen out of the way, Brendan Rodgers will almost certainly continue to rest players ahead of the teams next meeting in the Scottish Cup Final.
Getting it right for Hampden is only one aspect the manager will be concerned about. Celtic’s first Champions League qualification round starts eight weeks tomorrow, between now and then the entire squad has to get their annual rest period and a significant portion of preseason. Several will also be on international duty four weeks from now.
While you and I want to see out the league programme undefeated, it is more important players are rested for the various cup finals which take place between now and the end of August. The Partick Thistle game on Thursday doesn’t register on what is important.

I agree with you. But only about BT turning down the crowd singing. It definitely happened and isn’t the first time, although it’s been more noticeable on Sky before now.
I don’t like Logan, and it goes further back than the Tonev incident. He’s an average player who believes he’s better than he is, and all this publicity and having people mention his name will just inflate his already puffed up ego.
I watched the game alone in my home with NO DISTRACTIONS….I have NO RECOLLECTION of suddenly having little or no sound from BT Sport ?

Firstly, stop sitting on your remote control. At no point did BT tone down their audio during game.
Secondly, I think you’ll find most rape convictions are down to evidence of rape/assualt on the females.

Fourthly, Logan may or may have been racially abused by Tonev. How can you determine either mans motivation/guilt for racism or accusing another man of racism without personal knowledge of either man?

When they turned down the volume on the support the 1st time I thought did that really just happen? Once could have been put down to an anomaly, the 2nd time left me in no doubt it was deliberate. It will be a pain in the hole, but if I can find the full BT coverage and the time to sit down and watch it all then I’ll give you the exact times they occurred.
I haven’t determined Tonev’s guilt. I’ve said several times he shouldn’t have been banned. If I HAD to choose between who to believe, then my instincts would say Logan, purely because I would be surprised if he made the allegation up. Attempts to sully his reputation on the most frivolous grounds are now being used as proof that he made it up. I simply find the abuse he has received, long before Friday night, distasteful at best.

A social media post made by a member of the public during the trial of former Rangers owner Craig Whyte is being investigated by police.
The probe has been launched after an online comment was made during proceedings at the High Court in Glasgow last week.
Whyte is on trial accused of one charge of fraud and one of breaching the Companies Act in connection with his May 2011 takeover at Ibrox.
He denies the allegations and the case will resume evidence on Monday.
The police stated they were looking into the social media post.
A spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that Police Scotland are investigating the circumstances to establish any criminality.”

I heard the volume drop during the game , but how do you know it was because of the singing ? is it not usually toned down when the mikes are picking up swearing or it could have wind noise or any number of reasons but it did drop on my stream .

Allow me to dispel “instincts”.
Some years ago a female co worker ( who thought she was my boss…but wasn’t), reported me to management for theft of a Laptop.
I was questioned by the management and being completely innocent and unaware of the ” alleged theft”, I stood my ground.
When I was “questioned” by the management, this sad, lying female co worker was in the room, and I tore up her “story” into pieces. After about 20/30 minutes this female started crying and claiming that she was right to accuse me, and obviously imo by turning on the feckin waterworks, further attempted to have the management believe HER, as she had worked there for a number of years etc. That made me even more angry, as here we had a female using her feckin so called ” Female traits…the waterworks”…to have me found Guilty and probably losing my job and charged with theft ?
Finally, the management had no where to go, no feckin proof that I was a thief, and I was to carry on working there until I left about 18 months later.
I never did receive any apology from anyone .
I know why this co worker did this, as she was angry that I had questioned her right to tell me what to do, when I should go for my lunch etc a few weeks earlier in front of management !
It’s no nice to be accused…especially when innocent.
