Newco’s remarkable run of penalty kicks, given and not received, has been covered far better than I have elsewhere, so I will not dig into the main issue today. What we need to concern ourselves with it that penalty kicks is one of their main sources of wins in domestic football.
This is a jeopardy Celtic will have to prepare for on Sunday. Any time they have or challenge for possession inside our box is an opportunity to win a spot kick. They will try. Maintaining a defensive line outside the box hugely reduces Newco’s threat by a significant margin.
Their win over Hibernian on Saturday prevented a third straight home defeat (Motherwell and Benfica were the previous two). That steadied the nerves for a side who had not won without the benefit of a two-man advantage or a penalty kick (they received one and missed against Hibs) since February.
Pundits can be heard saying this is the most important derby in a which feels curious to Celtic fans. We’ll let the Newco/Oldco confusion slip for now. The other lot are feeling it more than we are because Clement is on a precipice between gaining a valuable advantage late in the season or seeing his reputation go the way it did at Monaco.
Their fans feel this, while they worry about the return of Callum McGregor, who alongside Kyogo, they respect more than any Celtic player in recent times. The supreme confidence Celtic faced at Ibrox in September has been replaced by a faux bravado. Five minutes of good Celtic possession and that will switch to pressure on the home side.

Hot smoked,
Montrose gold course on the news there talking about the 7m of coastal erosion they had from rising sea levels – after being told there would be 1.5m.
Is that the course you play?
Shared the paper with a chap at work. He does all our heavy data modeling n stuff. He knows what it is like for us, Spurs guy, loves Ange, chess and numbers. One of the sharpest chaps I know.
Anyway, his reply, was along the lines of “there’s a wee issue(s) with that papers statistics but a good wee read.” Words to that effect in a ‘merican accent.
That said, I’m sure he knows it to be true.

Anon, what on earth are the accountancy tricks you are referring to?
On these pages I try to explain to Celtic fans – who have no previous experience of reading accounts – how they operate and why we are losing money even though the debt is falling. Others also contribute to this.
We live in a world where PLC’s are independently audited. Where directors of PLC’s who tell lies go to jail.
We live in a world where people try to spread misinformation about Celtic, which does the club no good.
Here is the truth. The club are losing money and will be insolvent in 2 years if they continue to lose money at this rate. For the PROOF go to http://www.companieshouse.co.uk/ pay £4 and download the accounts. Any lies in there, find them and send the directors to jail.
Find ANY mistake I have made in my financial readings – and no-one has yet, and come back and tell us all.
You are missing the target with your criticisms of the club. There are lots to complain about if you want to, and lots to worry about with respect of the board; when you get your criticisms specifically wrong, you are only confusing other fans and diverting attention from what we should be watching.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

I’ve a vague memory that ACGR posted at a time that he put “a Carnoustie golfer” into an anagram generator program and that was what came out.
I could be talking pish though.

FITBA BET….
On Wednesday I placed a ” Lucky 15″ Bet on FIVE Players to score at least TWO Goals in their respective games.
Wednesday…PHIL FODEN of Man City scored TWO Goals ( He actually scored Three ) v Aston Villa…at odds of 11/1 with BET365.
Thursday….ALEJANDRO GARNACHO scored TWO Goals v Chelsea, at odds of 22/1.
Two other players Failed to score Two goals in other EPL Games.
So as it stands, I have TWO Singles and a DOUBLE UP on my Bookie Line, and I am now waiting for a certain player to Score at LEAST TWO Goals in the Huns v Celtic match….
IF my selected Player scores at least TWO Goals on Sunday to go along with ” FODEN and GARNACHO”, I will have a few Quid back ?
BET365 are offering me ” £50″ right now as CASH OOT Option……but not for me, I am gonna let the Bet run.
LOL
HH
ABOVE post SHOULD read a ” LUCKY 31 ” Bet….NOT a ” Lucky 15″
DOH !
HH.
GARNACHO of Man Utd.
HH
ABOVE BET…
Of course should my selected player happen to score ONE Goal ( especially early on ), then the Bookie will offer me a much bigger ” CASH OOT” than ” £50″ ?
I may then have a decision to make , but if he scores early on, I will be mostly tempted to let the Bet continue rather than ” Cashing Out” ?
Its just an added interest, as my Bets don’t matter….Just as long as Celtic Win !
LOL
HH.

i was wakened VERY early this morning by a disturbance caused by noisey neighbours, so much so that the COPS were in my Hoose at 4 am this morning, asking me for a statement on what I saw and heard .
