If you were a professional football player, you would love to be in the Celtic dressing room tomorrow evening. You would have the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself; put in a big, meaningful performance. Record a bit of history and create a uniquely memorable victory.
There are some players who are fraught with anxiety on such occasions, but there are others who NEED these games, need an edge, to reach their peak. If we have a team full of the latter, Legia are in for a torrid night.
I’m doing my best to ignore the naked opportunism in our media this week. There is no point complaining about it, lose heavily and you become vulnerable to those who live to revel in a Celtic defeat. Don’t lose and you don’t give them (friends and foes alike) a chance.
We’ve been here before. Artmedia, Braga, Utrecht, Sion (despite the reprieve) and Karagandy all exposed an aching heart. European football is unforgiving, try to transition and you’ll find someone ready to exploit, but that doesn’t mean you are wrong to transition.
We might talk about this transition more later in the month but we have a game to win first. Can’t wait.
Check out the fantastic work by the cyclists who are taking part in the Paradise to Cardenden Cycle 2014 on 6 September. You can join them – all you need is a bike. Get involved, you’ll be delighted you did, I promise. Read about it here.

I don’t have the answer. I’m not convinced by the current situation either. What I do know is that after a YES vote we’ll at least have more chance of a say in such issues. The UK government isn’t exactly making us proud with it’s constitutional activities is it?

Strange you mention Blackpool
8 years ago tomorrow 6th August, I was there with my brother, unfortunately not an enjoyable experience, as he lost his son.
Always in my thoughts and prayers Ryan RIP
First half hour tomorrow full defensive mode.
False sense of security to Legia.
It`s as much about when we score as how many we score.
I have full confidence that we will score 2 tomorrow.3 reasonable chance.4 outside chance.
There`s only one issue which may be hard to achieve.
Don`t lose a goal.

I’d read the white paper if I were you, the detailed proposals are all there at the start.
However to summarise the May 2016 election would provide the constitutional platform for the process of drafting the written constitution to begin. It won’t be being driven by a single party anyway but even if it was being influenced by the majority party, who’s to say that would be the SNP?
March to May 2 months I think maybe 3 if its the start of march and the end of May
The Government’s intention is that a constitutional platform will be put in place for Scotland becoming independent in March 2016, immediately prior to the 2016 election campaign. That will ensure that the new Parliament and Government elected in May 2016 have the full range of powers they need to get on with the work of building a better and more socially just Scotland.”
Said my piece, hopefully won’t get dragged on again and still open to persuasion but right now that last people in Scotland I’d trust are the SNP the OBB is there to balance up convictions and blessing yourself can be illegal if a sectarian doesn’t like it, sorry naw, no for me.

The people there at least have opportunities. In other countries people have less help. We are lucky.

Michelle Mone’s lingerie firm have suffered losses of more than half a million pounds.
MJM International’s plunge into the red was revealed in accounts published for the 18 months until last October.
They showed a loss of £547,018 for the East Kilbride firm who are famous for their Ultimo bra brand.
MJM’s accounts described the loss as “significant”.
The firm will need to be supported by MAS Holdings – a Sri Lankan underwear company in which Mone is a partner.
MJM were set up in 1996 by Mone and her then husband Michael. The couple split in 2011 and last February Mone severed business ties with her ex and became sole owner of MJM.
The firm expect to stay loss-making for the next 12 months. But with the support of MAS and changes in strategy, they expect MJM to return to profit.
In accounts for the 12 months to April 2011, the firm made a profit of £1418.
Since then, they have seen turnover fall by almost £1million to £7.4million and administrative costs rise from £1.9million to £3million. Accounts for 2010 show MJM made a profit of £800,000.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Due to widely reported issues outwith our control, we lost valuable trading time in the market earlier this year, which is reflected in these recent result. What the results do not reflect is the strength of investment from MAS Holdings that has put the company in a solid, competitive position for moving forward. Michelle Mone and MAS Holdings remain very excited about the future of Ultimo.”
Yesterday, mother-of-three Mone, 41, who was made an OBE in 2010, seemed unworried by her money troubles. She spent the day watching Prince Harry play polo at Ascot.

Fair enough. I can only finish by saying I find it strange that you’re willing to stick with a UK government who leads us into all sorts of atrocities world wide, in which we have no say, so you don’t have to put up with an admittedly unjust situation that we would at least have a chance of correcting.
Take it easy & enjoy the game tomorrow.
HH
dd,
Are you going for a beer before the game tomorrow, I’m going through on the train with my brother?
AR
The one thing that gives me the most hope for tomorrow night is the fact the Legia players really didn’t show a lot of sportmanship at the end of the game the other night, despite winning convincingly, they also pissed off a lot of Celtic players.
It is time to send them home tae think again. A 2 legged game against Celtic, if you are Legia Warsaw, winning 4-1, should never be celebrated like a win.
Celtic – Just do it.
Night all Night wee Oscar my hero God bless x x
Captain
where are you again?
AR
Hope to be at Hermiston Gate for 6.30, doubt we will get a beer before the game.

Sorry to hear that mate, thoughts with you and your family tomorrow.
When I put my cross on the ballot paper in 6 weeks time, I will only ask myself one question.
Do I trust my fellow countrymen ( indigenous Scots, incomers from Ireland, Asia, Eastern Europe, or wherever) to make the best decisions for our own future, or do I think that our elite & privileged neighbours will do what they have never done before & better handle our affairs than we ourselves can ?

Aidan will let you know as well, if he speaks, I dinnae ken why he is still shy whilst being kept on at Dumbarton. He knows the team needs support tomorrow though, I know he will give a voice, because he is a voice within a larger voice. I just want to hear it on the pitch, like his coaches do.
