Pursuit of Celtic in January was a sham

484

24 hours on and not a whisper from the Scottish Government, their Senior Clinical Advisor or their principle academic media backer on dropping all of the sanctions imposed when Celtic were the target, when the issue at stake is not the Scottish Premiership but Euro 2020 progress.

The whole of Europe knows Billy Gilmour spent time in enclosed spaces with much if not all of the Scotland squad, any other explanation is not even remotely possible, he was photographed with Steve Clarke’s head touching his, Clarke’s hands clasped on his jaw.  I heard what happened when results arrived for Celtic’s Dubai Test and Trace.  Where is the vigour to pursue athletes who do not represent Celtic, Ms Sturgeon?  Either this is a sham or the Government’s pursuit of Celtic in January was.

Looks like Boris has agreed to 60k fans at Wembley to keep the semis and finals there. Confirmed by UEFA.

Reported that after Gilmour tested positive the relevant people (scientific term) went back through cctv recordings and found the two England players had been non-distanced chatting for 20 minutes in the tunnel after the game

Boris must have buckled C40.The gov was adamant it would not budge.as uefa were demanding test waiving .

just adds to the continuing feeling all rules are getting made up as they go along.chaos here and with uk gov

“It will be questioned – but the reality is that there is a broad consensus and demand for faith based and education, and as long as there’s a demand for Catholic schools that provision will continue. That was reinforced by last year’s celebration of the Catholic Education Scotland Act, which brought Catholic schools into the state system and provided funding for them and has been the basis of the system ever since. W marked the anniversary with a reception down here. we were delighted to have both Scottish Archbishops present for a reception afterward and there were various other events throughout the course of the year, including the First Minister giving the annual Cardinal Winning lecture at the University of Glasgow to reflect on the contribution the Catholic schools have made and reiterate their value and the Scottish government’s continued commitment to them.

I have yet to see a plan, an alternative, a way forward, including projected FOOTBALL results over the next few years written down which would convince Celtic Supporters to boycott. I’m not saying they shouldn’t. I just want to know what folk think might happen. Do we want to be a St Pauli or a wee Man Utd ? How much longer would the new regime get ? What would be their downfall ? Do they want businessmen in charge ? Do they want them to stop becoming businessmen ? Somebody let me know – just please thanks.

    ========================================================================

The fear factor isn’t the same as 1994 to attain a degree of leverage over supporters that change is a must.

So I fear we’ll see probably worse levels of apathy than we saw in 2015 under Ronny when the top of the stand’s had to be closed.

Indeed it could be cited that the present mindset of Celtic fans is more geographically inclined than regime change enclined at Celtic, it could also be cited that the present day Celtic supporters base hasn’t tasted the pain that Celtic supporters tasted in the 1990’s.

Indeed after eight years of evidence of Celtic PLC collusion to keep Rangers playing at Ibrox via PL’s demand that Sevco be included in TV deals being among the earliest piece’s of evidence that Celtic supporters were being done by everyone.

    Celtic PLC

    SFA

    SPFL

    UEFA

    SG

    PS

    SMSM

All of them were out to do Celtic supporters.

And eight years later we’re still awaiting a dissident response from any group claiming to represent Celtic supporters.

    CSA

    CST

    ICSA

None of these outfits are prepared to organise an onslaught which results in Celtic supporters going for the PLC jugular by refusing to finance them. Anything else would be to miss the point.

The Celtic Trust make a lot of noise without getting to the point – and that is withdrawal of PLC monies from Celtic supporters.

The CSA is now more useless and untrustworthy than it was in the days of the George Delaney powder puff show.

Shares are for Tories or offshore tax dodgers

Tories are blue or red or tartan-blue and offshore tax dodgers are Freemasons or Eastern Star witches.

None of these identities should be allowed to control Celtic FC. But they do.

    Who’s fault is that?

Parochial Celtic supporters are the one’s who finance all of this and they hold the swing vote which elects an anti-Celtic SG.

I’m afraid the lackadaisical elements of the Celtic supporters or new breed as Neil Lennon correctly labelled them are still to suffer more brutal lessons before we detect the necessary levels of anger to effect regime change at Celtic Park.

If a PLC throwing away 10 in a row or at least doing their level best to hand the league to the financially precarious Rangers FC doesn’t get Celtic supporters angry enough to withdraw financial support from Celtic PLC then I’m afraid a regime change takeover plan of Celtic FC is a long way off.

There can be no effective plan for change if Celtic supporters aren’t angry enough to get that plan instituted.

I fear that an awful lot more brutal lessons of pain are necessary before this peculiar Celtic supporters base has the anger levels raging through them to effect regime change at Celtic Park.

1994 Celtic supporters were the real deal who got to the point! That’s crucial for anything to be effective.

Setting free the bears…once more, but this will be the last from me in reply to your tiresome, repetitive hot air…

Yep, your posts are full of magical inventive variety. Those of your friends are solid, well constructed and logical rebuttals. While those you dislike are infantile, tiresome and repetitive. That’s what we’re going with? Self praise?

What i object to is Pauls incessant but pointless blaming of the Scottish government for the majority of Celtics failings.

How many posts does it take to become incessant? And it is pointless, why? Did he blame the Scottish Government for all our failures or just for the ones where they hampered us unjustly? Why is it wrong to call that out. Some of your persuasion have argued that , if Celtic plc do not complain (even though they did but don’t let the evidence bother you!) then we as supporters and blog contributors should keep quiet and not mention it. The view is that it distracts from our real enemy – those who are messing up at Celtic currently. As if it distracts from putting 100% of the blame on DD, PL, NFL or Name your own targets, to point out that refs made “honest mistakes” and that government decisions were partial. These are all, somehow, both an irrelevance and a distraction because it crowds out the “real Targets’ for our ire. Some of us, however, are capable of noting that various Cetic personnel let us down on the football front and that many central figures lwere complicit in colluding with the shenanigans that were formalised in 2012. It isn’t unitary. It isn’t even binary. It is possible to ask all those who discrminiate against us or who fail us to be taken to account. There are not legitimnate targets nor are there sacred cows- so why can’t we hold the Government to account for their biases towards Celtic and continue to hold Celtic responsible for theirs?

As for my voting preferences, I’ll leave that up to your dreary little imagination. You clearly know way more than I do as to who I do or don’t cast my vote for (or support, as you bizarrely put it).

That’s everything but a No. I don’t actually need to know or demand to know your voting preferences. You can keep them as private as you like. But if you find the criticisms of the SNP biases agaisnt Celtic, by others, to be tiresome, I am entitled to seek some rationale for that. You haven’t supplied any.

As for your desperate attempts to put words in my mouth regarding my thoughts on test & trace (thoughts which i have not shared) just give it up. An advance is not always an improvement, no matter how much you wish that I had suggested it was. An advance can just as easily be defined as a change from January to June. Unless you know differently, that is. I defer to your years of experience in dealing with such medical pandemic-related matters.

An advance is not an improvement- that’s your defence? I suppose Pickett’s Charge could be cited as an argument in support but any general reader of English would not see advance as a neutral term- go ahead and genuinely ask anyone nearby. Is making an advance a positive, neutral or a negative development? You used the word “advance” to signify that Paul had not taken account of the differences between January in Dubai and June in Wembley. You did not use the neutral term, “”diferent time” or “different environment”. You did not choose a neutral term but you complained of being misread and misrepresented but offered no clarification of what you meant and why it invalidated any criticism of the Gilmour outcome.

And as for criticism of the SNP, knock yourself out. If you really did know my thoughts on SNP policy, you must have (yet again) accidentally ignored the fact that I have repeatedly said on here that i cannot vote SNP. I have previously stated here that I wouldnt piss on James Dornan (my msp) if he was on fire, far less give him my vote. But seeing as how you have profiled me so accurately, you already knew that, didn’t you pal?

So you don’t vote SNP and you have criticised James Dornan. But you object to Paul 67 having the same rights as you to do so? Is it righteous when you do it but tiresome and childlike when others do it? Double Standards AND you claim the much envied ground of “victimised party”. That’s some going even for modern social media and Twitterati.

Now lets just end this now. With your permission, I’ll keep on expressing MY opinions on here. If you don’t agree with them, dry yer eyes and get over it. Your delicate sensibilities are pretty close to being the very least of my concerns…

Nobody is seeking to stop your contributions- you were seeking to get Paul to stop his. as you found it “tiresome”. I am concerned that your sensibilities might be a wee bit on the paper-thin side.

P.S>- drop the wee man, pal endearments. They are unconvincing aggressions.

    A few observations

P67 is never going to bite the hand that feeds, he’ll be consciously selective of what he chooses to post, it’s his blog after all, depending on my mood at the time determines whether I’d call it a squirrel.

We have little or no idea what the plc are doing, with regards to pretty much anything, again depending on my mood determines whether I think they have a clue or not. (Eg Tony Ralston, in my view, is not of a standard I’d expect a Celtic RB to be (maybe I need to review my expectations) but as we have none, with the exception of young Welsh, it makes short term sense to keep him, I suspect the same will be done with Griffiths)

Politics, I feel, like religion, it is a personal thing and people should vote for what is important to them, I like a quote attributed to Irvine Welsh, (paraphrasing) when you’re not doing so well, vote for your a better life for yourself, if you are doing quite nicely, vote for a better life for others. There are plenty of sources of information out there, it’s for an individual to look as far as they’d wish to. I always find that those that actively push their views, on anything, tend to be quite insecure (tend to be, there are exceptions that prove the rule)

We all have far more in common than we think

  17. St. Stiv’s

Very rare to find that as coming from purely SNP sources and much more of it comes from Sevco sources.

I suppose the closest I have heard recently from an SNP source was Christine Graham’s comments re “evening up”. I take that as an example of institutionalised bias rather than personal animosity but then, thankfully, I don’t jnow the woman (She is Great entertainment at First Minister’s Questions when she makes mugging faces in support of Nicola’s views.

I take it as read that there are generalised anti-Catholic 9mostly on schools issues) sentiment in Tory, Labour and SNP circles. I am not around SNP supporters when they let their guard drop to know if htey are more or less susceptible to this. Until I have evidence, I would give a Not Guilty verdict to the genralised charge of being currently anti- Catholic. However, I do think they have been biased against our club recently and there is evidence for that. What their motivation, if any, is for that bias, I frankly do not know.

Maybe, if we can finad anyone but Turkeybhoy, who admits to knowing them, we will not get the evidence. It used to be that people were ashamed to admit they voted Tory. I am astonished by the multitude on here who are reluctant to admit they voted for the SNP- it is not a shameful thing to do, at all, but you are likely to be asked about the sins of the party you voted for as I am over Labour Party Policy. I did not support the Iraq War but the party I continue to vote for did. I have no reluctance at all in disagreing with them on that

If a full throttle engagement of conflict takes place between CST and Celtic PLC at no point can or should CST ask Celtic supporters to raise money to buy out billionaires and millionaires on the Celtic PLC as that would amount to surrendering to the rigged rules of Celtic PLC board.

How about CST asking the Celtic PLC what they’re shares would be worth on the back of a full blown season ticket boycott which would have to last for more than six weeks. These ppl like the number six so give them six weeks of purgatory. Why not?

Lindsell Train bought the shares last October, and its not great news for Celtic supporters as they are long term investors with no immediacy or share power to run the club,

It would be different were it not ‘venture capitalists’ buying shares, we remain without a majority shareholder and a dilution of outright ownership.

Ironically, lots of today’s PLC rageoholics all bought into having a PLC in 1994 when Fergus McCann came in, he was backed by the largest public shareholding in the history of UK football, now many of those shares just gather dust on top the wardrobe.
