Reason to enjoy Wednesday night number 67

Reason to enjoy Wednesday night number 67: Victor Wanyama didn’t get booked.

21-year-old Victor is a fabulous talent but he has also been a tad rash in his earlier Champions League outings this season.  One more yellow card will bring a suspension but his timing, and more importantly, his concentration, on Wednesday was excellent. This is a player maturing; more to come.

The 1254125 charity cycle left Lurgan this morning for Belfast port where they caught a ferry to Cairnryan. After they set wheel on Scotland they have a 37 mile cycle to Maybole, 7 miles of which is uphill, one of the most difficult parts of the endeavour.

They are people with the spirit of this club pumping through their veins right now. Check out their everyclick page for more information.

  3. Pleased that the GB don’t show a list of their donors.

Might embarrass those who purport to support them but it stops when money changes hands.

  7. Returned to Glasgow for a funeral. Flew back to London tonight enroute to Italia. Popped into the Celtic shop to make a few purchases. Came out and was surrounded by zombies. Dreadful. Dreadful. Dreadful.

  8. Guys tomorrow ,as someone said earlier, what passes for the media

in this country will be sharpening their pencils in readiness to besmirch our

wonderful club, the reason will be the reaction of our support on remembrance

Sunday. I will be there tomorrow and will hold a dignified silence, and I will tell you why,

My father and his brother served in WW2 his father my grandfather in WW1, my mother had 3 brothers who also served in WW2.

My grandfather my father and his brother came from Abercrombie st and attended St Mary’s , one of my mothers brothers mentioned above I am told walked to Fife for John Thomson’s funeral, I think it is fair to say that they as Men as well ex servicemen and Celts now all deceased deserve that minute.

paddysmarket, show your respect and be proud in what you believe, just don’t measure our support on what the meeja in Scotland decide what is acceptable behaviour.

    AoW,

Important thing is you can now watch it as many times as you want, me, I need to start again :o(

  15. Paddysmarket

No need for hard hat mate, respect should be shown to your relations.

My great Grand father buried in Vermelles only 3 weeks in France

    then buried in trench.

    Pawns in politicians egos.

  16. We have always known that Celtic are the greatest

    football club in the world.

Now the rest of the world are catching on.

There is not a team that will not welcome us

and not a team that will want to draw us if

    we make the last 16.

  17. The Huns are totally hypocritical low-lifes. They stage a jingoistic military tatoo to prove how British they are but they stiff “their country” for 50 million plus. If a few Celts stage any kind of protest at the compulsory nature of bringing War Remembrance into Football Stadia they are scum. I’m opposed to my Club and its Supporters being forced into War Remembrance situations but I feel the pragmatic thing to do is just sit & ignore it, but don’t noise the place up and give them a stick to beat us. In conclusion credit to my fellow countryman James McClean for refusing to wear a Poppy Shirt today.

    See what I’d did there

  20. paddysmarket

from what I heat JamesMaclean refused to wear a poppy on his shirt today..

the point being why should a lad from Belfast be forced to wear a poppy on his shirt?

  21. Newco? Oldco? Show us the poppy! I mean money.

If you really care that is, and are not just using the military for an exercise in PR.

Why not donate the £300,000 you were willing to fleece the struggling Edinburgh team for and add that to the mass total you made today?

  22. BT

Yes, I did make it, picked my barca supporting pal and his bhoy up at Edinbugh Airport, went into the fanzone at 3, we had something to eat at Fratelli’s and went up to the park at 5ish, spoke to oldtim before the game.

Was an amazing day, my bhoy who is 13, described as the bet day of his life, it made it all the better that he was there with me. Barca bhoys went to bed when we got home, we were up til half 2.

    Superb…..
