A draw was perhaps deserved, but it sounded like a poor performance from a much weakened side. Still, good to see the play to the end spirit was still there.
This result doesn’t mean much in the bigger picture. Tuesday night most definitely does. And a much better display will be required.

As I said at the top of this thread: “Regardless of who we are missing through injury., we should be able to beat Ross County comfortably with that line up. We don’t need a Champions League budget for that.”

I accept that we will not win every game this season, but after this largely impotent performance from our highly paid internationalists, perhaps Neil could do worse than dropping at least half of them from the team for the Helsingborgs match, and replacing them with players who will play out of their skins to put themselves into the frame for first team selection.
There is no room for complacency in our team if we are to secure an expected domestic treble and make progress in European competition.

If we were to appoint Chris McCart to manager I would still expect Celtic to win the SPL with the financial advantage that we have over our opponents.

Ponderous, disjointed, predictable, unimaginative never looked like winning todays game. Very well done to Ross County played to their strengths which we are far too weak to overcome. Champions League bonus uppermost in everyones thoughts I reckon.
Hope this puts to bed the 33.1 title talk as we are less than average.
Helsingborg will be another tough tie between two evenly matched teams.
Are we any better than in Neil Lennons debut season. I have to say no. I think we are poorer. Far poorer.
But I am delighted that we are not playing in the third division and that we are talked about as a CL team in the bars and cafes of Fauldhouse and Breich.
