I know what you are worried about after last night’s Scotland performance, “He’s going to throw James Forrest in now.”  My feeling on the matter is that James, Callum and Kieran all need to ‘work on their fitness’ a bit.

Since managing Scotland for a few months in 2007, a period that included a 0-1 win in Paris, Alex McLeish has been found out in five subsequent appointments, ending ignominiously in North Africa.  He has the look of what he is, a man earning enough to make good on a tax bill that recently came his way, and nothing else.  Nice gig if you can get it.  He also selects players who are banned for life from the national team.

Scotland have the players to beat the 94th team in the world but were not sufficiently competent to fix up a manager who already lives in the country but manages in Belfast, or conduct an adequate search for an alternative.

The result of this, is that fans stopped caring, as do many players, by the look of it.  I don’t know a single person who was upset last night, the Scotland international football fascination is over.  The once great endeavour of football as a self-contained unit in Scotland is over, everybody knows it.  Send our players back to Lennoxtown as soon as possible, please.

    Much as i would love to come on here and tell you the Willie Wallace

     

    statements where a load of fabricated nonsense from the MSM it

     

    now seems Willie did talk to them and i would have bet my house

     

    against that, maybe thats why i don’t gamble anymore.

     

    I haven’t heard it straight from the Lions mouth yet but other scources

     

    much closer to him than i am have confirmed it .

     

    Did Willie talk to the press…yes

     

    Was Willie niaive?… yes

     

    Did Willie deserve the vitriol directed at him by some on here only too

     

    willing to do the dirty deeds of the MSM for them?

     

    Well in my opinion certainly not.

     

    I sit here now awaiting the brickbats that are sure to come my way.

    was a great series to watch, starring lieb Schrieber another much underrated actor.

     

    It’s about an Irish family in Boston, powerful stuff.

     

    Another great series is Power.

    I was there that time and i’ll never forget the look of venom

     

    on a cops face as he drove a horse on through the densely

    Arzani came on as a sub in each of Australias World Cup games ,one time to replace Tom Rogic. He immediately caught the eye with his skilful play. He’s got 5 full caps and was quickly snapped up by Man City, one of the worlds top-richest teams. Surely he will be given a run in the 1st team soon. I see him taking over ,or sharing the left wing with Sinky.

    Never saw to much of the World Cup but heard good things about both Tam and Danny ?

     

     

    He may well get a chance as i think Mikey J may have an injury .

     

     

    If and when Brendan thinks the time is right to play him , i hope he gets decent amount of time to prove himself (Arzani that is ) not Brendan.lol.

    I reckon they will go with four at the back (Robertson LB). If they win it will be “evidence” that Kieran is the problem. If they lose then they still lost when he did play

    I’m only here in Oz 10 years, that looks like a pic of George MaCluskey

     

    or maybe Mike Conroy and i was shouting them on at Celtic park then.

     

    I’ve been in some strange places in the world in my 71 years and as

     

    always the common denominator is the Glasgow Celtic, it’s got me into

     

    places and out of places i should not have been in LOL.

    You’ve brought that season back to mind so well. But I think it was nearer 20 than 10 years after WW2.

     

     

    The game I remember most vividly from that season was a section LC tie against Rangers. We had to win to qualify for the knock-out stages and were 0 -1 down until about 10 minutes to go. Then Rangers got their penalty. Johansson smashed it against the under-side of the bar. Cue a chorus of ‘HH the Celts etc.’

     

     

    It was 1-1 before the first verse finished. Then 2 and then 3. Celtic supporters enjoyed their hot chocolate that night.

Don’t know if you saw that AS Roma were supporting the Ant’s yesterday on non league weekend on their twitter page , I noticed DELANEYS had mentioned last night that his uncle played with the Ant’s and I remembered you telling me over a Guinness or two in Melbourne about your spell there and a brief spell at Benburb if i recall correctly ? HH !!
