Sinclair: no one has worked harder

303

I know you have heard a lot about Scott Sinclair’s form not matching his Player of the Year level of last season, but with 8 goals in the league (joint top) and 15 overall (top in Scottish football), you would be hard pushed to suggest this is anything other than a right good season for the winger.

What you have heard less about is the reaction from the player to his slower start to the season. He stayed behind on a programme of work to improve his game; doing exercises designed to improve fleet-of-foot, and perhaps confidence.

Celtic players are not machines (they just look like that when they are winning). Performances are a consequence of hundreds of preparatory hours, sacrifice and denial. Even those will little to prove, like Scott, feel like they have everything to prove as they train for the next game. When they are struggling for the form they want, it is at the forefront of their minds when they wake in the morning, no matter how good results are.

The big moment in Scott’s season came three minutes from the end of what, for him, was a very hostile game at Fir Park, when he told Leigh Griffiths he would be hitting the penalty. Miss, the unbeaten record stops and you put yourself in the hole. Score, and you are the Pope of Fir Park.  Others would have stepped aside.

No one has worked harder to get to the top of the scoring charts.  He’s going to be a big player for the remainder of this month.

Indeed he has.Perhaps we should give Dedryk a wee spell at that obviously wonderful Academy of football . Maybe just the pick-me up Scott Sinclair requires as well.

  3. Surely the ticket letter isnt just part of a planned strategy aimed at keeping targeted groups away from the Sevco game. It’s not as if there was a snap inspection of tickets for one group at the Hamilton game, is it?

  4. Photo I.D. season tickets, signal the beginning of the end of all seated stadium’s which, imho, were a massive over reaction to the Hillsborough tragedy, were, because one section of the stadium was mis-policed, didn’t then mean that the rest of the stadiums in the UK were unfit to hold a football game.

    Ye see, its like this,……

When beurocrats wrongly assume that *they* are the power of the game, only empty seats will bring them to their senses……yeez knew that, right ?

Anywye, whit difference does it make, she ye post the truth, sumdy see’s themselves in the mirror, dizny like whit they see, then deletes the evidence.

Maybe one day they’ll get it, maybe one day……

In and around Glasgow, it was prounced as in “deep sea divers”, but anyone of that name in Donegal, is pronounced as Divvers.

In this case, I would say that Francie was right.

Similarly, the name Sean was always prounced Shon, in Glasgow, but here it is most usually pronounced Shan.

Wouldn’t you think that you Scotties would get it right!!

The song says divers as in rivers so Glen Daly was correct not David Francie..

I was warned by a good CQN’er never drink with ACGR, never smoke with Delaney;s Dunkey & never play pool with Tiny Tim.

  13. Big Rab Douglas asked about EBT’s , and if titles should be stripped ?

Of course they should , the SFA had their heads in the sand says Rab , adding there’s no way the SFA will do anything now .

Any hope of a media career now in tatters .

    BT,

In the context of Big Packey’s question, between his dad and Francie. No one mentioned Glen Daly.
