SPL stalemate leaves bare truth narrative for Rangers

643

A stalemate was one of the more positive possible outcomes from today’s SPL meeting.  Such are the layers of intimidation which have been levelled across a spectrum of football clubs, bodies and individuals in the last week, it was difficult to imagine SPL chairmen standing up for sporting integrity after Sandy Jardine’s ominous words.

Unfortunately, for the Magnificent Duff and Phelps, they will have to shred plans to blame someone else for the shambles they are, kind of, administering.  Their creative talents will be taxed to the limit to explain for another two weeks why it is in creditors interests to consume available monies while Craig Whyte has not moved an inch in 10 weeks on demands for his shares of stadium security.

The narrative of this story is also important.  Angry Ally could have blamed the SPL chairmen for Rangers imminent descent into oblivion, and demanded to know where they live, but this would have been a corruption of the truth.  Rangers will not die because of the SPL or SFA but because their own misdeeds of the last 20 years are about to catch up with them.

This will be their final narrative.  Be angry at those who administered and profited from the EBTs, no one else.

If you had did a wee bit of research before engaging your big mooth instead of your pea brain you would have discovered that I was certainly not insinuating that Celtic supporters were doing the bouncy in regards to events that were happening at Hillsborough that day. I imagine there was very few Celtic supporters in the ground that day

If you had researched my post to sonofdan you would have discovered that that it was Hun hordes that were occupying the jungle on that particular day

Celtic park was being used as an alternative venue for a scottish cup semi final between St Johnstone and the Huns

Maybe if you spent a wee bit more time on all things Celtic rather than newcos and financial chicanery your posts might hold some relevance to me

    Hail Hail

  3. Why is it when the Rangers fans say something it gets done but when we talk about a boycott it goes on for months ?

Time to show we as fans and our club mean business.

  4. And while I’m at it; I marvel at the pseudo-legalese spouted by the msm meejah talking heads. Fuds, the lot of them.

  5. Re Doncaster:

Setting aside morality for the moment I don’t think Doncaster said anything which hasn’t already been expressed on this site or RTC or Phil Mc.

Simply put there are no current provisions within the SPL rules/regulations which involve sanctions on an Oldco pheonixed into a Newco entering the SPL.

If I’ve understood previous more knowledgable posts this was always the case. However (again if I’ve understood) the SPL share has currently to revert back to the SPL for their decision as to how and to whom the share is to be ‘sold’ .

So the decision lies with the SPL (SPL Board?). Therefore there is NO automatic sale possible between old & newco. Indeed I recall some of the angst expressed, on what was supposed to be voted on today, was that such a transfer WOULD become possible.

Now, I didn’t hear Doncaster but have made my observations only based on what has been posted about his comments.

Does my summary hold good or has he said something new?

One other thing, Mr Doncaster. I am one of those fans who took part in the SPL fan survey and who, thanks to CQN and RTC, know the difference between a CVA and liquidation!

Having said that, if I had been asked a year ago what a CVA was, i would have confidently answered that it stood for Cerebral Vascular Accident otherwise know as a stroke.

    Anyway Neil Doncaster condecending P***K

I am obsessed by the fate of our opposites at the moment, feeling searing injustice at Doncasters comments tonight, but you have put it all in perspective.

I’m not talking about the fighting fund, heavy sanctions put against them and 8,000 go to Hampden to march, how long have we been talking about a boycott on this site.

How many people have been going nuts about Doncaster so why dont we do something about it instead of just talking.

  10. How long will it take to set up a newco huns if either Whyte or Ticketus don’t play ball?

Somebody was looking for a pic of the Kano foundation banner from yesterdays game. If you are still looking for a pic please ask Paul67 for my e mail address and i’ll forward the picture. Taken from the Jock Stein stand about 30 minutes or so before kick off.

    It can’t.

Only if you are as much of a moral vacuum as Craig Whyte or a.n.other morally bankrupt cheat would suggest such a thing.

  14. Good evening friends.

Watching the EPL “decider” and for just about the first time in my life I’m wanting Man Utd to win. For me, City just seemed to have taken the ‘buy the league’ approach to an obsscene level. I know that United are no slouches in the transfer market either so it must be the lesser of 2 evils for me I suppose.

    Hoping for a few goals.

  15. Seems the march from Queens Park to a carpark ended up more about talking back than fighting back

Doubt there will be a march from Glasgow Green to George Square in protest about the council looking for their tax arrears

    Talking about tax

What about tax evaders and their role in the fabric of Scottish society

As McCoist said in another “transparency” matter the Scottish public need to know

    Hail Hail Hector csc

    my thoughts exactly

also cannae imagine HMRC accepting pennies in then pound without a fight

D&P will find themselves in bother if they accept a poor offer to the detriment of the creditors

imo this newco idea disregards a number of important variables which will all impede an easy transition

    Gotta love the Beeb:

“The Knights also want club owner Craig Whyte to hand over his 85% shareholding”

    No sh*t Sherlock….

  18. if you want to complain to UEFA just type in UEFA complaints and you will find a inquire email link, as questions about newco let them know of the cheating in scotland

  19. Listening to Doncaster’s interview, I wonder what all the talk of licences and sanctions have been about on this and other sites over the past few months. He seemed to suggest it was all hunky dory for a newco in the SPL and it’s an accepted way to offload all your debt, even if it’s £100m. It’s just never happened in Scotland before but is ‘common place’ down south. Totally bizarre and quite disappointing.

The response for the final CQN badges has been amazing and unfortunately for a few we are sold out. I intend to respond to everybody tonight, both with good news :-) and bad :-(. Those that have been unsuccessful, will go on the reserve list.

The Kano Foundation will benefit in the region of £200-£250 once all the cash is in. A fantastic amount and fitting tribute to Pablo.

However, so not to disappoint anybody, I have agreed with Paul67 to bring out a new range of CQN 2012 badges. These will be designed over the next 4-6 weeks, and commissioned for release in the new season.

The proceeds for these new badges will go to CQN nominated charities. Happy for you to send me ideas for badge designs and register an early interest for these new badges.

I understand the CVA for Port Vale was 3p in £- most owed to local council – they owed R@nkers £3k so that’s £90 to the fighting fund
