The Scottish Football Supporters’ Association (SFSA), an independent body of pan-club football fans, yesterday launched the first independent evaluation of Scottish football governance, at Holyrood.
The SFSA’s nationwide survey will assess, for the first time, supporters’ views on the current position of the game, including the performance of the game’s governing bodies in Scotland. The research will become an annual benchmarking & reporting exercise looking at all aspects of the game.
The SFSA’s online survey has been created in partnership with Prof. Dr. Axel Faix and Dr. Joachim Lammert, two experienced German academics who have undertaken similar evaluations on a national level in Germany and on a European level.
The SFSA, whose board includes former First Minister Henry McLeish; former MP and MSP Cathy Jamieson and Maureen McGonigle, Founder of Scottish Women in Sport and first female Scottish FA Council Member, has over 67,000 members supporting clubs across Scotland.
The SFSA is Scotland’s fans’ representative in The Football Supporters Europe network (FSE), an independent, representative and democratically organised grass-roots network of football fans’ in Europe with members in currently 48 countries across the continent.

I do not know the motivation of the GB and what they stand for , so my opinion is only based on what I have witnessed at CP and is my opinion only .
For me they brought a lot to the CP match day experience ,the songs they have added to the clubs back catalogue is IMO excellent .
IMO their greatest moment was the full stadium TIFO for the Barca game and as we all know the night went on to be one of the best in the clubs history .
Then there are the times when they just seem hell bent on destroying the good things they bring to CP and the club .
The flares IMO are not up for debate ,they are dangerous and there is no place in ANY football stadium for them .
The banners have been on the whole ,inventive ,humorous and have hit the nail right on the head (the four horsemen ) then others just seem to court controversy ,or seem to be displayed in the FULL knowledge that the club will punished and the MSM can fall over themselves to equate us to the klan
The songs , they have brought some great new songs to the modern day club (cmon you bhoys in green ) one of my favorites and one I believe would be the envy of many supporters in Europe .
My view is that the political songs that I grew up with at CP in the past ,belong in the past .Some may say that it’s because the PLC drives the club ,I believe that the world is moving on .
I hope the GB can see the positive things they have brought to the modern day Celtic at CP and go on to be legends off the park ,I am afraid though that they will be, but a footnote in the history of the club .
Much like great players who have come into the team and then had delusions of grandeur only to crash and burn and were never around long enough to be considered a CELTIC GREAT

I know the songs are not sectarian – though try explaing that to a Hun! At best on Wednesday though the almost complete songbook was overkill. I thought we had moved on and were above wasting our time on a team and club that is excrement.
As though for your question re my being on Celtic pubs? I am deeply offended. My pals always go to such places post game but I wait outside even if it rains. In fact especially if it rains.

Celtic have DONE nothing to get justice in scottish football.. A statement after 5 years.. Means as much as me making a statement. Why not make a statement at the first SFA/SPFL meeting.. just stand up and say “We want justice for decade of cheating. We want all those involved kicked out. We ant ..demand no lying about a dead club. Just fucking standup and say it. At hthe SFA.. I don’t care about secret channels.. that’s waht we should be fighting against. As I said in the article I posted earlier, there is right and wrong on both sides here.
The board had little option but to act in this case, but there’s simply no question that the GB brings so much to Celtic Park occasions. The work they do on behalf of the homeless and poor in Glasgow, the food banks, the community work, the Palestine cause … tremendous ambassadors and assets to us.
They screwed up here, and the flares thing … man, just leave that stuff at home guys, eah?
But clubs all over Europe could take lessons in civic awareness and what it means to care about community from them. In our deeply cynical, deeply Me centred world, these guys go far beyond “the extra mile.”

I also think the huns will be back to their cheating ways to winning stuff sooner rather than later, I have this niggling thought in the back of the head that tells me that they are being kept alive for someone or something, what I have not a clue, but the horrible thot just won’t go away.

I love the GB and what they bring to the Celtic experience. I immediately thought though that the banner with the beret lacked subtlety and said this to a GB member I know. His response was that if it upset the bigots across the other side of the stadium then it met its purpose. That got me thinking. Linfield belted out sectarian and racist ditties throughout the 2 legs and I’m sure that I saw a UVF flag or 2 amongst their support. Nothing was done about it or said about it. Sevco and their predecessors have a fan base that belts out sectarian songs week in and week out. All of which is accepted without mention in Scotland. We have been cheated in Scotland- openly over the past 15 years, and we haven’t said anything about it. Should we see ourselves as above giving it back or even raising our concerns, or should we give it laldy from time to time?

Our board are doing less than many would expect. That’s for sure. We can all agree on that, so we’re off to a good start. The board are also perhaps doing exactly what’s right, considering the circumstances. We all want the same thing….. justice. We all want titles stripped and suits kicked out of office. We can only wait. Easier said than done, I know, but we can’t fall out until we know the outcome of all this and the reasons why.
My glass is half full. I believe things will be alriiight.
