There’s only one John Guidetti

1256

I’m beginning to believe some of the ‘Unseen..’ paranoia that goes around town myself.  Absolutely delighted, and a bit surprised, Fifa ratified John Guidetti’s transfer to Celtic.  He’s a player we have tried to buy for three consecutive summer transfer windows; this guy has been watched, courted and pursued by Celtic, Feyenoord, Ajax and no doubt a whole lot more.

Since his marquee season in Rotterdam he’s come through debilitating illness but is now healthy, if in need of some match sharpness.

He is ineligible for the Europa League group stage but will be available for the round of 32 through to the final in Warsaw.

There was a real meeting of minds between player and club on Monday; he liked the way we went about our business and people at the club were impress with his personality.  Apparently, he’s another “strong character” to add to the others who have arrived at the club over the last week.

If only we had a song for him….

  1. KDC it’s your choice. Make it in all good conscious but make it by being open minded to the reality and not to the bullying, smears and threats by the yes campaign.

I still remain astounded by the Jim murphy Clutha smear. My fellow scottish countrymen? No wonder I am terrified!

  3. Doc. See my post. It doesn’t matter. And why on earth are we retaining an English queen for queen of Scotland. I wonder who that is appeasing.

Bone of our bone, blood of our blood…….

    Do you feel comfortable?

  4. Estorilbhoy….

Biggest risk to any business is being frightened of risk in the first place.

It tells the business that it has no confidence in the people directing or managing the business in the first place.

    A genuine question.

You live and work in The Hague is that correct? Are you voting in the referendum?

  6. So the signing of 2 strikers at this late stage was all part of PL”s 3 year plan as was the exit to Maribor?

  7. Margaret according to Tom McLaughlin it was a great transfer window and we should congratulate peter.

I am watching the matrix. I’m beginning to wonder……..

Neganon2, No pretending from me. We are at a time where we and the rest of the UK are diverging politically.

    It is time to separate.

We will prosper. I think more so than if we stay.

    ——————————————————————————————————————–

An independent Scotland would in all probability be ” left of centre”, irrespective of the political persuasion of the first government.

That seems to me to be the essence of what the issue is and what the vote really signifies.

  9. Neganon2, the level of institutional sectarianism is diminishing, and has already greatly diminished. It must get better, but to vote No due to fear?!?

Do you really think The UK is without such?

It may be better swept under the carpet by Westminster, but it exists.

  10. If anyone has been bullying, it’s the No’s.

    Shout shout shout…Naw, Naw Naw….jist NAW!….Naw cause it’s not Aye!…

I’ve had my face shouted in 3 times.

Now I keep away from them.

  11. Just another tim. Yes. I live I’m Scotland and commute every week to The Hague (and various other places around the world). I have already voted no. By postal vote.

  12. NegAnon2

The haters will kick up for a while like the child tantrum supremisists ar.. sorry bum holes that they are, but their day has been and gone and IMHO in the future of an independent Scotland the history books will show them up for the bigoted hating loonballs they are, but again IMHO as I say their day has been and they have no place in the future.

  13. Weefra

get a wee sticker, stick it on your season card, write down the seat number Celtic gave you for the EL, then, everytime you go, activate ticket/card, then look at the number you wrote down, then go to that seat. Not too difficult, is it? Then you can stop giving yourself grief.

  14. Ticteawan. I have NEVER seen such aggressive bullying tactics from any campaign than the yes campaign. The belittling of no voters has been astonishing and will have far reaching effects long after this referendum.

It’s been disgraceful. The Jim murphy Clutha smear was just about the most disgusting thing I have seen. And it was propagated by many on this site.

Aaaaand, because am in a blether mood.

My Granda, was a bit of a hero to me – and i don’t have many. He was a miner, but was a boxer fkor many years until he saw the damage being done to older guys in the game.

My Da used to go for boxing lessons given by a Sergeant from one of the regiments. Granda and his mate Ned Gourlay went to watch one of these sessions, to see the bold sergeant tauntin the recruits with a “come on, show me”.

Granda could take no more, grabbin the gloves, without lacing up, and hurtlin into the ring smiling “show me”.

My Da recalls old Ned having a grin like sin and sayin to him “watchhim, and learn”

He died from miners lung at 63

  19. During the Reign of Terror of the French Revolution, one morning’s executions began with three men: a rabbi, a Catholic priest, and an Atheist.

The rabbi was marched up onto the platform first. There, facing the guillotine, he was asked if he had any last words. And the rabbi cried out, “I believe in the one and only true God, and He shall save me.” The executioner then positioned the rabbi below the blade, set the block above his neck, and pulled the cord to set the terrible instrument in motion. The heavy cleaver plunged downward, searing the air. But then, abruptly, it stopped with a crack just a few inches above the would-be victim’s neck. To which the rabbi said, “I told you so.”

“It’s a miracle!” gasped the crowd. And the executioner had to agree, letting the rabbi go.

Next in line was the priest. Asked for his final words, he declared, “I believe in Jesus Christ the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost who will rescue me in my hour of need.” The executioner then positioned this man beneath the blade. And he pulled the cord. Again the blade flew downward thump! creak! …stopping just short of its mark once more.

“Another miracle!” sighed the disappointed crowd. And the executioner for the second time had no choice but to let the condemned go free.

Now it was the atheist’s turn. “What final words have you to say?” he was asked. But the atheist didn’t hear. Staring intently at the ominous engine of death, he seemed lost. Not until the executioner poked him in the ribs and the question was asked again did he reply.

“Oh, I see your problem,” the atheist said pointing. “You’ve got a blockage in the gear assembly, right there!”

A man who can’t speak or write the English language, other than in Daphne Broon ‘braw, bricht, moonlicht nicht’ mockery, despite his supposed Honours Degree from McGills, has the effrontery to ask a Celtic blog if WE understand what ‘CIRCUMSTANCES’ are.

The Dutch and my other international colleagues are really worried about a yes vote and our company in the uk will relocate. 2000 jobs gone.

Haha, this is a different Scotland to the one you left. This is a vote for self determination. Not SNP.

Westminster are screwing us big time. Labour party has deserted us. It’s time to roll oor ain fags.
