The Fifa Executive Committee meet in Zurich today and tomorrow but it is unclear if the allegations of corruption concerning the decision to award the 2022 World Cup to Qatar will be on the agenda. The world body are no strangers to allegations of corruption, it seems to be an internal part of the fabric of the game at the top level, they are also extremely experienced at stonewalling such allegations.
The International Trades Union Congress, who are calling for the 2022 vote to be re-run, have called for fans attending games this weekend to turn their back on the field at the 22nd minute, to build awareness of what is going on with Fifa and the Qatari preparations.
When you get corruption at the top of an organisation it tends to undermine process all the way down. A clean and alert Fifa would give us a far better game. It’s time we were all asking questions about this.
Congratulations to Mrs Jobo Balde, who won at £50 voucher to spend at Cail Bruich, 725 Great Western Road. Jobo, drop me and email……….
Photos are in from CQteN, great work by Geo, as usual. Click on the photo to see hi-res. More to come:
Seville, The Celtic Movement, is selling like the proverbial……
“I decided to go to the train station only to be told that there were no more trains to Malaga that night and so I was now truly stranded. By chance I met an old man who asked me if I knew where the train station was. “It’s no good mate they are all off—all the trains have gone!”
“The old man laughed and explained that he wasn’t looking to get a train, but just needed to find the station as that is where he had parked his car while he and his wife went to the game.
“We spoke for a few minutes about what had happened to me and then he said if I could get him to the station he would drive me to Malaga as they were staying twenty minutes outside Malaga for the rest of the week!
“I was delighted and accepted the lift and we got to the airport just as the last call went out for my flight. I rushed on board and guess who was there? None other than my mate Jim. I owe that old man and his wife so much for their help.”

That pic was just after Oscar stuff? Sure it is cause true to form I’m bubbling in it lol

If it were to come to pass that Hearts were liquidated
A . Would the SFA allow them to start at the bottom like Rangers ?
B. Would the smaller teams object to it happening a second time ?
C. Would there be less of a backlash since Hearts tried to go about it properly
Although they might have won a trophy while trading insolvently ?
Seville go through dreadful last penalty,
Jude

It was the first time I had come across and caught up with organised casuals.
As stated I had my auld Da with me and they thought :-) an easy picking
I left him in safety in the ground at halftime for a short spell :-)
In fairness, not convinced they were Middlesborough fans though, as no colours, except white t-shirts

Some dodgy fotos from last friday.
Expect to see some of those in a future edition of the CQN Magazine, I’ve been asked to take the pi…, sorry do an expose of the event.

First there then last race somewhere else. Thats a tip on its own.
Sevilla win 4 – 3 on pens
Pens which go into top half of the goal nearly always result in a goal as keepers dive sideways. Most saved pens are low down or along the ground.
My philosophy was the Tommy Gemmell one – put the ball down, turn, walk outside the box then turn and run at the ball and hit it as hard as possible. Only ever missed two in my career – the two that were saved when I tried to place them along the ground.

Photos not opening, the one you posted on Saturday did open
Hail Hail
I agree with Marakesh and I will not renew my season book until celtic release a definitive statement. Am I watching wrestling or a genuine sport. I encourage all of you to do the same.
With the Scottish Labour Party now coming out publicly and saying the Offensive Behaviour at Football Matches Bill, which has criminalised ordinary decent football fans, should be scrapped, underlines the pro active and pre-emtive stance taken by our Club at demanding this hideous, unworkable Bill be reviewed immediately and amended so that a workable, fair and more importantly clear Bill can be agreed and accepted by everyone. Well Done Celtic FC for taking the lead in having this horrendous piece of legislation brought to the fore and pushing for its demise.
Hail Hail!

missed another opportunity to meet last Friday, at least you showed the doubters that you are a Celtic man, not that you needed to convince me..

Boro Front Line are their crew. Older heavy industry thugs. They chased WH ICF in Boro and London, is their claim to non trophy fame. :)
Hey Blantyre. Sorry I missed you mate.
I think Marakkesh’s stance is a principled and fair one and I think we should all join it and write to celtic and force them to make a statement.
Scotland is in utter denial. To hell with Scotland.
Tonydonnely I see you didn’t have the courage to respond to me. Your anti intellectual stance and celebration of stupidity has come back to haunt you. You are a hypocrit.
WDH,BT, et al,
I’ll try for the Cailbruich, out of respect for their CQN sponsorship.
Again, many thanks for all the responses.
Hopefully, I will report back on Monday.
Getting ready for the morning flight.
Oiche mhaith.
Andyr53. I am sorry but celtic’s belated stance on the OB is too little and too late. Celtic have been passing personal details to the police of every celtic supporter who has a season book
I believe they have been doing so illegally through an agreement made at JAG. Celtic allowed this bill to be passed with little objection. They now realise the support are furious and that the OB act is indefensible. But they only realise it because they are worried about season books.
I think celtic have acted disgracefully throughout this affair.
Delaneys dunky
It pisses me off , the fact they are after better players (any players) when they are struggling for funds
Where is the governance from the SFA on all of this , even gamblers are requested to call it a day or refused bets when it gets so bad .
Their arrogance knows no bounds just now , what are they gonna be like when back at the table , I can visualise Ally bawbag and the 40 thieves ( board members) big fkn cheesies telling us all we”re back at our rightful place

Which day was that in the Newsletter? I was in Glasgow on Friday and then went to isle of Man – back in Glengormley yesterday.

Would be adviseable to book on a Friday, some good pubs round about either on woodlands road or up over the hill towards Ashton Lane.

There was a mix of different supporters there, mostly from the north of England.
It was certainly ehmm eventful but that’s not for here, I’ll tell you another time :-)
Night all and God Bless.

Still no works

They met their match that day then, having had no involvement in this area prior to this game, it was unclear who they were, no colours, just thugs.
We came across pre-game and halftime.
I remember it clearly for having to protect an Auld Man from ar—–s, fortunately for me, I could look after myself
Not a nice experience though
Hail Hail

Be good to hear :-)
I am dealing with an interesting situation just now at work, you would enjoy :-)
Hail Hail
NegAnon2,
Partly see where you are coming from, and know personally members of the GB that have had their doors knocked at 6 in the morning for allegations they have had no connection with.. but it that our Clubs fault? is it not heavy handed tactics by Police Scotland?? is it not the fault of the Bill that allows for this??? I agree we should have made more fan based representations when the Bill was going through its reading stage.. but remember, this Bill was the knee jerk reaction of the Scottish Executive to a long term problem that could have been dealt with using current legislation. I still applaud them for taking the lead in demanding its review and re appraisal.
O.G.Rafferty
I found that online. Billy is electioneering. I’ll lay a bet the PUP will not win one seat in the council elections.

Marrakesh-Neganon-Bhoys ,i agree with what you are saying, but if you think after all this time that CFC are going to make any statement re the huns………you will be waiting a very long time.HH

Good to meet you last week mate, I agree with you on the clubs poor efforts on the OB bill and yes they have underestimated the strength of feeling, but I am afraid can’t support your call not to renew and I would like to think no one would, just a step to far for me.
CowieBhoy, tomorrow, will try again.
Doc
None of your links work lol
