How many preseasons have we seen Celtic style to throw off lethargy before finding their rhythm when league business starts?

Our preparations often fell short when it came to Champions League qualification but the domestic marathon is a specialty of Celtic.

As Ange Postecoglou said, his style concern is to prepare the team to win games. He will not be remotely concerned with a result against Norwich tomorrow, instead he is likely to take risks in order to test and tax the squad.

We’ll wait another 8 days before we see Celtic’s war face. Enjoy the end of the summer strategy, whatever the score.

    I watched the game.No shots on goal at all from them in 1st half.They got 2 quick goals just after HT against a very poor W Ham,who chucked it after that.

     

    The headline was cherry picked

    On the fitba front am looking forward to next weekend, Ange deserves his first flag day, hope he has many more to look forward too …

     

     

    Kyogo & Giamakous fit for a full season should scare many defences … in my opinion we are far stronger than last season and hopefully will get stronger

    I doubt my old man would ever have met anyone with such a formidable CV / Education/ Intellect in his life. He was a simple plumber and scrap metal dealer trying to explain to explain to his kid why Celtic, who were enjoying incredible success after 50 years in the doldrums, were still nowhere near good enough for all the clever old guys who would gather after mass to talk and moan about the fitba.

    But if the Bayern chief says it when talking up a pre season tour in the USA then it must clearly make our coach a daftie then eh ?

    Tom, what are you talking about? Turkeybhoy mistakenly said I was quoting a headline I never read. I sent him a video link. He said it again, and I corrected him again. Never once did I say we were bad, or the Huns were brilliant. As for Burnley78, I refuted his argument that anyone critical of Celtic must be needy, not accountable, or an underachiever. He followed up with his view friendlies are meaningless. I pointed out that Bayern disagree, as do Klopp and Gardiola, btw. Difference in perspective, no big deal.

    I guess the 8 lost to Sparta Prague 18 months ago and the 7 lost to Leverkusen 8 months ago slipped your mind? Bit of a pattern developing there. Maybe you can enlighten us on what we are doing to prevent us shipping another boatload, or at least to minimize the chance of a recurrence?

    Some might find you think your opinion is more valid than others OR some might think Ange might know better … I realise you listed your “honours” today that validate your opinion .. which we are all allowed, you then went onto to let us know the halftime score with Liverpool in a game that had been completed the day before … so dont take it personally if sometimes some Celtic fans think Ange & Joe Hart know a bit more about their job than you … am pretty sure Ange wouldn’t dare to tell you how to be successful in your field .. by all means give an opinion but ffs don’t type it as a fact ….

     

     

    And football is a sport not an exact science … hence Cluj, Bodo Blimt and many other teams that have managed to beat Celtic can only dream about going straight into the group stages
