    Not looking forward to the treatment meted out to us by Hearts at Tynecastle and by livi too for that matter .

     

    Surely the board need to protect their assets (players) and be more assertive in their dealings with the powers that be .

    CalMac will be a loss, no doubt.

     

     

    However, we’ve strengthened and I think Bitton offers more defensive cover in the deep role than CalMac does although our play will be slowed down somewhat. I remain confident going into what is one of our biggest games of the season.

    We have to match them, play cagey, draw them oot, long ball over the top, and hopefully Kyogo will be there as he’s uncatchable and will score most of the time.

     

    In the early 1990’s it took us to stumble across Lou Macari would you believe, Luigi the socialist legend, who showed us how to play against Walter Smith’s parked bus, Macari’s team won 1-2 at Ibrox, and 1-1 with no Celtic fans at Ibrox. The new year game at Parkhead was a disaster as it was hard to park a bus with Gary Gillespie in the team what a dick he was.

     

    So simple to play the parked bus at its own game, terrible to watch, but if you try to play Ange ball against a parked bus you usually come a cropper.

    Most of what happened in the game can be traced back to our inability to kill

     

    opponents off. Most teams would be delighted to create half the chances we had there.

     

    We seriously need to get our act together or it is going to cost us any chance

     

    we have of winning the league. We kept them alive in the game and even on the plastic

     

    pitch they can’t beat anyone. They have won something like one game in 11.

     

    And if these assaults are going to continue we will need to sign a couple of people

     

    who can look after themselves.

    It’s also worth pointing out that after one percieved bad decision the Huns were chapping on the SFA’s door delivering their letter of protest. And what will happen after tonight?     The CL money increased when Brendan was here, two seasons in a row and I don’t remember any victories for Brendan’s teams, I would imagine the financial rewards will be the same, or might even have increased, but we took £40 million two seasons in a row. When Brendan left us we had £178 million on the balance sheet, £40 million × 2, season ticket money, the Brendan developed players sold for a fair few quid, all in £178 million on the balance sheet when Brendan left under a dubious cloud, where did it all go?

    I don’t think the board are trying to lose the league. I am more concerned by how quiet we are when we are being litterally attacked on the field by teams trying to do us a bad turn. Most of the teams in Scotland are Hun sympathisers, we all know that, but there is something more sinister at work this season and we should be calling it out. Not general ” we were robbed ” stuff but specific incidents should be highlighted.

    2nd Team in SPFL also have a route to the Group Stages if they do make it, they will arguably make more money than the SPFL Champions as they have additional Income from Group Qualifier Stage.

     

    Even if they don’t make the Group Stages they could Pocket decent money from Qualifiers & Europa,

     

    No doubt the Team that makes the Champions League will earn substantially more than a 2nd team ending up in the Europa but the gap in earnings more likely to be less than 15 Million.

    When Ange spoke at the end of the game he looked like someone who has been warned off getting involved with the officials and the media. I hope i’m wrong about that. It is a basic right of everyone to stand up against dishonesty and cronyism. If the board have shackles on him then shame on them, I like Ange, he is a genuine sort and deserves everyone to back him.

    I know it sounds bad but, if you want to become Celtic manager, in the era after MON, you have to play by the PLC’s don’t rock the boat diktat. Sadly.

     

    Why did MON tip us off about “the slow lane” my guess is because he didn’t want to see Celtic fans being mugged by their own board. Not many managers, if any, would go out of their way to more or less tell fans, that this incoming Lawwell guy is not to be trusted.
