Leipzig are going through a period of remarkable results. An 0-8 cup win against lower league opponents, then a 4-0 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt and a 1-4 home loss to Shakhtar that precipitated the start of new manager, Marco Rose.
Rose began with an impressive 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund and a credible performance in Madrid before losing two late goals to Real. Borussia Monchengladbach beat Leipzig 3-0 two weeks ago gave Rose lots to consider ahead of the international break, which they returned from with a 4-0 over bottom placed Bochum on Saturday.
I only watched the game against Monchengladbach but suspect it was one of a few bizarre results that did not reflect the flow of the game. We should not be reassured by this period.

So,
while sitting in work, doing concentrated things, I had the old Super Scoreboard on and caught up with a few nights worth.
What I have learned from the oracles who phone the show –
The thing calling itself Rangers are now in top form and based on an hour against Napoli and a spanking of Hertz they will now be 2nd in the champions league group because they are getting back to the Europa form , and and Colek ? would have twenty goals before christmas if it wisnae fur the world cup coming up. Ending with we are going to win the league.
Meanwhile a celtic supporter, tells them he is worried that the CL is draining the manager and players to a point that the glamour fixtures is all they think about, and league games are now the distraction but we will go out anyways, this is evidenced by him picking the wrong team for the last 4 games (?), and a considerable dip in form cos after beating rangers, we cant compete with Real, drew with Shaktar, lost to st mirren and nearly lost to motherwell (did we aye ?).
The host who happens to be a motherwell supporter said he didnt see it like that, motherwell got two shots on target and did little else, a few corners that we defended badly but he thought at no point beyond the first few minutes were they in the game, and simply celtic could have won by any margin just didnt take the chances.
Further someone points out that we actually created more against motherwell than against rangers, had more possession against motherwell than against rangers, but the difference simply was, 6 on target v rangers gets 4 goals. 6 v motherwell gets 2 goals.
Maybe there is too much emotion attached, and we remember a mess up and a few stray passes rather than the fact we won.
by the way,
if Liverpool dont beat that mob by 4 Klopp should pack it in, and they should put all their medals in the bin.
i do expect them to hump them actually, with some added city centre violence thrown in.
so CCV felt sore and hasn’t played since , so what part of his body has the injury.
Not just two CB’s missing , but the two most important CB’s missing . If CCV doesn’t make it , a draw wouldn’t be a bad result . Hopefully with a chance of six points in the following two CL games with our strongest team on the pitch .
Maybe the big occasion will bring out a stronger performance than in the last two league games .
