Well done the leather belts to qualify as a pot 4 team in the group of death. Anderlecht are no mugs as was showed tonight.
What a feeling to be in Europa league now we are due a few lucky draws and we will go far maybe even win it this year
A couple of quality signings for me a centre back ball playing pacey. A centre mid strong pacey and can see a pass like Ntcham and of course another striker
Come on the leather Belts

we seem to freeze against european teams ,is it a mentality thing? or are we just too used to being in charge in scotland and lose cofidence against proper foot ballers?

We are still not good enough at this level.
DEfence was shaky or just crap the whole game
Midfield was rank for most of the game and even though we were better in the second half, we did lose the second half 1-0.
Moussa’ couldny lay aff a bag of cement.
Just one of those nights?
Or should we face the truth?

I hope Brendan has seen tonight who can do it at this level, even EL.Some very good at SPFL level, but cant step up.Ntcham and Eboue must be brought in.Broony needs help in the middle.
Armstrong,Sinclair,so poor, and I know many like Lustig,as I do,but not for Europe.A lot of thinking required for Brendan. At the moment,I cant see any progress in the way we play in Europe.

That was hard for me to watch I dont know about the rest of you but we looked flat and to often humped the ball out from the back with nine out of ten times Anderlecht picked up the ball.However.overall we achieved our objective European football for at least two games after Christmas I still think there is a lot of work required if we are to be competitive in Europe we need to buy wisely in the January transfer window. We have to appreciate the sheer number of games the lads have played, early CL qualifiers, league and league cup. We must be up there as having played the most games at this point across Europe. Get us to the break and a well earned rest. A rejuvenated Celtic ready for European football and all being good back to back trebles.

DEREK McInnes will become the next Rangers manager if compensation is agreed with Aberdeen, according to former Ibrox striker Kris Boyd.
The Dons boss has been heavily linked with the vacancy since Pedro Caixinha was fired at the end of October and Herald Sport understands that an approach will be made by the Light Blues this week.
Kilmarnock captain Boyd is in no doubt that the 46-year-old will accept a move to Glasgow if the two clubs reach an agreement over a fee, despite his decision to turn down Championship outfit Sunderland during the summer.

Olivier N needs a run of games I think to cement his place along side Broonie, for al their qualities McG and Stretch are not Euro level in my opinion, our players suffer from lack of positional discipline in Europe and lack of confidence in passing.
Work to do for sure but I doubt many of us were under the illusion because of our dominance in Scotland that that would mean we would be able to go far in Europe, this team has a ways to go to do that but I’m sure they’ll get there.
many tough lessons this year but to lose all three games at home won’t be putting a smile on BR’s face.
Expect new faces in January????
This is a very young team still and lots to learn but in KT, Ajer, Moussa, Oli and OE we have the building blocks there for the future..

As a result of our game against QSG not being broadcast over here I watched both Bayern/Anderlecht games. In the first game the Belgians were down to 10 men after 11 minutes and yet it took Bayern until late in the game to make sure of their victory and in the 2nd Bayern to our delight stole it.
As 4th placed team we did well in a group that was heavily lop sided and not in our favour.
They did, but times have changed, the top teams now have so much cash they have bought the best players on the planet while teams like us have to do with the best players in their country, tis what we are up against.
Now and again we will get a result, but in the main they will spank us, sometimes they will spank us hard, some will say but, but Anderlecht are no the same as we are, well their income is three times at least of ours, that is a decent start for them, we are still miles away from where we should be imo, but hopefully……..

Had we started the first half with the formation we started the second half, then I think we would have had a completely different game.
We conceded too much space and time on the ball.
We were very tense and the stick or twist conundrum of a three goal lead had an effect.
As Brendan just alluded to there, European players are quicker of thought and deed and hold possession better .
This is where the SPL does us no favours.
