If it was a “health and safety requirement” why would Rangers and Hearts be allowed to ticket excchange on their hubs ?
Because the exchange scheme requires the name and address of the person purchasing the seat that has been surrendered for each particular game. So every seat sold has a name & address attached.
Similarly, that is why Celtic’s T&Cs state that season tickets are non-transferable.
It is a H&S requirement in the unlikely event of a major incident in the stadium.

The people on this site obviously know nothing about football or simply don’t watch the game! How the hell was Calum McGregor not in the top five votes if not number one?

Dearie me.
How can a safety certificate for operating a stadium have anything to do with the name of the persons sitting in the seat.
Especially when the certificate is granted before the seats are sold.

Just lets get our own passing game going.

The Health & Safety Executive doesn’t hold the name & address of season ticket holders. The club is required to hold that information as one of many conditions for being granted a stadium safety certificate.
This is positively my last comment on this subject.
You seem to hold a bizarre obsession with the fact that your old season ticket seat is being left unoccupied on match days. So much so that you admit to contacting a supporter sitting nearby after each home game to establish if your former seat was used during the game. Very strange behaviour indeed.
You then turn that into a protracted and tedious campaign against empty seats throughout the stadium, failing to accept or understand that for various reasons, some ticket holders don’t turn up, despite myself and other posters pointing this out to you.
At least I can say I am happy for you that you appear to have nothing else of import to worry about in life other than empty seats at Celtic games.
In terms of required information, your second clause was unnecessary.

Interesting stuff from the St Johnstone manager:
“MacLean had his own quibble with the officialdom after he was yellow-carded by referee Nick Walsh in peculiar circumstances as the result of a later VAR intervention on an afternoon in which there were several breaks in play to allow for checks. “The rules are VAR checks the game when the play stops,” said the St Johnstone manager. “We have a counter-attack and the play is stopped. They are trying to tell me that’s the rule, it was news to me. I tried to ask him [Walsh] a question when he came over to speak to me, he wouldn’t let me.”

A family is locked in dispute with Ryanair after being charged £165 to check in at the airport and being told by the airline that they had “unchecked themselves”.
Damian Lloyd had checked in his family a month in advance, and brought the printed boarding passes to the airport.
But the barcodes would not scan so the family had to pay to check in again.
Mr Lloyd tried to reclaim the money but Ryanair said they had unchecked before flying, so the fee was justified.
After several weeks of email exchanges, the airline has now referred Mr Lloyd to a dispute resolution service.
