I dont like someone being so flippant towards another celtic fan about such an emotive issue.

You dont know timbhoy2 – probably never will, neither will I.

If the guy has held a book for 16 years, we can therefore only imagine the significant part that has played in his adulty life – the highs and lows. The season book is quite literally the holy grail to some people.

Wee snide comments like that are no way to get your point across.

This blog is built around debate. If we all agreed with eachother – why would anyone even come on here – to read someone else who has written what you are thinking and then a punch of people telling him they all agreed with him too…!?

If you disagree with someone, write and explain your counter opinion.

If there are cybe bullies on here – leave the cheap shots to them.

Sorry, but I am not looking to ‘out’ anyone. Or cause a fuss.

Just wanted them to read that, and either consider it an option, or remember the being there is not something everyone can do.

  3. Just back in.

What a first half. Best 45 minutes entertainment at Celtic Park all season. Expected more of the same in the 2nd but things just didn’t come off. After the penalty miss I thought that Stokes’ game changed and it was as if he was looking to do something that he could use to say ‘I should have had that penalty’.

Anyway, down to 7 points and onwards to Saturday.

Oh, and Victor – I love you!

    Jobo

  4. Disappointed that we missed an opportunity to really make a statement tonight. That could have been 6 or 7 and it wouldn’t have flattered us.

But attitude is everything, and ours was very poor in the second half.

If we want to win the league we need to see the players fighting for every ball, and taking every opportunity to score. Second half tonight was a team coasting, and that is not good enough.

Especially disappointed in McCourt. He moans that he isn’t a first pick, yet when he gets a chance to terrorise a demoralised team for 45 minutes he looks like he can’t be bothered.

Anyway, a win is a win is a win, and I would have taken that before the match.

    Onwards and upwards…

  5. Well folks what more could a Tim ask for?

A Win and my folks send me a signed and personalized copy of Chris Sutton’s book for my birthday. Bliss.

Thanks Trish, Geraldine, Kate , Carol and Mum.

  6. Ard Macha, that was a hugely interesting article , it leaves one more open question, when will the Nationalists outside the 6 counties, vote SF for the Dail.

totally off topic, and no sniggering at the back, the documentary on VIDAL SASSON is well worth a catch up on the iplayer. The man fought street fights with Mosleys rats.

and Ashley Judd on the BEEB now, stunning woman,

Cutting their noses off to spite their face as far as the SFA are concerned, they know how they rely on our money generated through sponsorship and TV revenue. We have the largest global support out of all of the teams in Scotland, and most in England (think Man U are the only larger supported team in UK than us). What do they do? Take the money and treat us like scum? We should be lobbying the big American and Asian news broadcasters and letting them report on the factual side of things. Corrupt little country that is stuck in the past.

Salmond doesn’t even have the want to change that conception either.

Rant over great game great points

    Eyes wide open,

Leave it alone. Mr x, probably like me is sick of people publicly flouncing from Celtic, throwing their scarves onto the pitch, booing the team or demanding respect for giving up their season ticket.

I agree with mr x. If you are going to publicly give up your support on this blog then expect another Celtic supporter to request that you give your season ticket that you have given up to a needier cause.

Paddy did o.k. and we’re lucky he accepts the super sub role.

Having said that he could walk on water, with the idolatry he receives from the GB, who incidentally were just behind Wanyama as my M.O.M.

  10. Eyes Wide Open, timbhoy2 frequently adopts flippancy both to faithful Celtic fans and our esteemed manager. What’s good for the goose…….

In any event, I’m sure timbhoy2 is more than capable of coming back at me with a riposte rather than relying on your unnecessary intervention on his behalf.

Look, I’ve no beef with you personally, in fact, I enjoy reading your posts. Enjoy tonight’s result and relax.

  11. A joyous result.

    Plenty of entertaining football.

    THREE more invaluable points.

    Absolutely NO negatives.

    Thank you, Celtic.

  14. Okay, way off-topic but too good to pass up:)

This is an old quote from Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis, reported in today’s Grauniad:

“If they (Napoli star players) want to go to England then in the end they’re going to go,” he said, “but they need to understand this: the English live badly, eat badly and their women do not wash. For them, a bidet is a mystery.”

I think we have forgot that this season.

To all the moaners, Our back four consisted of 3 midfielders, two of which were aged 19.

  18. Tooting Tim,

As compared to the Neapolitans, who live in streets piled high with rubbish because the garbage industry in in hock to the local mob?

    Jeckyl and Hyde,spot on mate.

I can only see them improving though, a bit of inexperience in the last 20 mins.

This will no doubt be addressed in the coming days, weeks. Imo the important thing is to develope a

winning mentality. I agree with you about Commons, when he gets match fit/a few games in, he could be the one to take us to the title.

I have took a note of email. I’ll email you next time I am in Glesga.Hail! Hail!

    Good article.

Couple it with tonight’s Spotlight and the role NAMA will have on the future stability – or otherwise – of the North – then I tink we can look forward to a lot more “cosying up” from our Unionist neighbours.

    A bidet to them is a mystery…….superb :>)

My Mrs showed a brit family around a cave a month or two ago, and the brit woman said that she would take the bidet’s out cos they were not what we do in england.

I wonder what they do then ?????
