BROGAN ROGAN TREVINO AND HOGAN on 29TH JANUARY 2017 11:15 PM
An updated version of a post I made this morning below.
*excellent piece, like most of my generation I loved wee skip tae ma Lou he was a real wee hunskelper and then he walked out on us. After that I widnae have gave him hoose room.
I wisnae too enthused when he came back but did sense a change when he decided tae get rid of the “bhoys club” i.e. Packie and Charlie Nick, 2 former players who are highly critical of us today.
3 of his signings Willie Falconer, Lee Martin and the much maligned Carl Muggleton wurnae that bad but the catalyst for his demise was Biggles and he was quickly replaced by the Bunnet, was this a good move, cannae actually answer that.
But the fact that we struggled tae pay for Willie Falconer is an indication of how much his hands were tied. Although let’s not forget he brought Gary Holt into the game, albeit a bit late, he still managed to forge a good wee career gaining Scotland caps, winning a SC medal with kilmasonic and a Division 1 medal with Norwich where he was also their player of the year. We could have done with a player of his calibre back then. BTW another nice wee affable lhad that couldnae believe he was playing for us.
I met Lou over here on the wee summer tour of 94 where he admitted that he didnae think he would be with us by the start of the season, he was very affable and quite humble tae tell you the truth, not the kind of mhan I had envisioned him to be.
He has had some sad times including the untimely deaths of his mother and youngest son under strange circumstances.
However the way he has coped with that and also opening the Macari Centre, a street retreat to house the homeless sleeping rough says more of the mhan than any successes he has had in the game.

ACGR is Mental, Magical, Logistical, Incredible….. Yeah ACGR is alright Really. A track he Loved- when he said so I smiled.
All mentions of the record quite clearly state its the best unbeaten start domestically since 1966/67. Yes, Martin’s team did go 32 unbeaten but the only record noted that season is 25 straight wins.
All achievements are notable and worthy of respect.

Magical day. A magnificent record.
So many great performances; KY, Gamboa and Bitton were standouts closely followed by Boyata.
