Ealing — what is the big CFC pub on the Main Street close to the Underground station?
Used to get dragged over there for the CL a few years ago when the Cock Tavern was too much of a treck out sat for the West London luvvies who had followed me to the Big Smoke.
Certainly our ability to defend against route one football remains a concern.

Good victory last night, 1st of many I’ll miss this season due to work.
I notice the doom merchants have been on again. It defies my intellect to understand what enjoyment some characters on here derive from watching Celtic.
Has to said though that the most negative either never actually attend a game in person or are closet Huns.
Enjoyed game and nice to see an almost full house.
Credit to the GB and those in the standing area for creating a great atmosphere to help drive the players on.
Some, on the face of it, great individual performances but I will reserve judgement until the team is tested at a higher level. Lincoln Red Imps were not great and if not for a fantastic performance by their goal keeper this would easily have been more like the expected result before this tie started.
Still, nice to be in the next round were I worry that defensively we are still frail.

Trying toget a CH in for next Wednesday seems fraught with danger to me.Just me,but I would pull out the stops to try and get Kolo Toure on loan.Massive experience of European football, and I would think, would have the know how to slip into the back 4 easily.Much more sense to do this and go for the young Dutch CH,who by all accounts could be the next VVD.Not bothered about Sinclair, unless Villa sell for around half what they are asking.Funny money down there.
Astana, for all the scare stories are no world beaters.Struggled to beat, and only just did a team not much better than the Imps, who on another night we might have put 6-7 goals past. The right defender is vitally important.

I do agree we need a couple of players in,but I was just reading that Newcastle have paid around 5 million for Grant Hanley !!!!!!.Would he be better?.
BR has had to look at what he has.He will now know who can leave, but buyers still need to be found.Very few players will sign up now, waiting to see what offers come in before deciding.Duffy,at 2 million is getting lots of attention from the EPL,hence that delay.People were on here in the past few weeks talking up the signing of Joe Allan.A decent player, nothing else, who is going to Stoke for 13 million.
Its all very well saying things, but some people have to live in the real world.

Was just thinking about that comment.
Not only was it an excellent crowd on a terrible day for traveling fans it was a fully supportive crowd.
Though the GB were fantastic in support of the team. I was knackered just watching them from the opposite end. ( thought the rail seats had to be in the seated position for European games though)
Also, as we were talking about ZHC yesterday. Certain pubs in the Gallowgate could have done with more staff on before the game. It’s no funny having to buy double rounds all the time :-)

Enjoyed last night. Actually thought Scott Brown and James Forrest played very well, much to my surprise. Great to see us attacking at pace down both flanks. Hope that we do exactly that in the SPFL.
Next week looks a very tough assignment. Be great if we can get a result to bring the game back to Celtic Park and we’re still in the tie.
