  1. It was frightening the amount of times that Kyogo made a run esp in the first half and had to come back as nobody either saw him or bothered to pass to him

Still three points ahead tho, it’s in our own hands

  2. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

Just back in from the game. Rankrotten against a very mediocre team. Only player to get pass marks was Turnbull. I would’ve said Scales and CCV until the goal. Pitifully weak defending. Ralston and Yang on the right were painfully laboured. mO’R worst performance of the season. Holm anonymous.

  3. Amazing the slight differences can make to an outcome. Listened to Frank McAvennie talking about a new player that came into his West Ham team. (Stewart Robson)

Used to playing 1& 2 touch football, Macca was flying and banging in the goals. Robson signs but likes a third touch on the ball….result?…Macca finds himself offside more often than not.

Hoping Reo gets Kyogo going again…seems no one else can

  4. Dreadful performance. Created next to nothing. Is it the players or the manager? There is something wrong at the club. Right now with referees assisting I could see us being behind in the new year.

  5. I have been using Opera for 3 years without a problem. Opera has its own built in adblocker. Never had a problem.

Now since yesterday I and various other posters arw unable to navigate CQN without switching off the adblocker, which renders the blog unusable.

Poster after poster suggeats using this adblocker or that adblockwr or this app or that app. All because CQN has been changed to stop people bypassing the multitude of ads. Why the hell should I?

Why couldn’t PAUL67 warn us in advance that this was happening and give us alternatives?

    Had enough of this shit.

    I’m out.

  6. Broja NEVER getting a look in at Chelski

You know what to do Brendan…contacts and that sort of thing

  7. MARKIEBHOY @ 5:04 PM,

Doesn’t take you long to come on and put the boot-in!!

Remember, we lost six quality first team players from last season and replaced them with development players.

Giakoumakis would have been great today.

    What exactly were you expecting?

    80% possession, two penalties…

    And it’s the Manager’s fault!?

    How??

    Hail Hail

  8. 31003 @ 5:49 PM,

Used to watch a lot of football in London in those days, especially Highbury and Upton Park.

Stewart Robson was a good player.

McAvennie and Cottee were sublime together, two good strikers, who apparently didn’t like each other but I’ve never seen a forward line like it, almost won the League.

    Hail Hail

  9. If we were clinical in front of goal then we would easily be winning games like this.

Our ratio of converting chances was poor today, Our strikers are not striking.

In midfield, Callum McGregor needs a rest.

However we must get our act together for Rome.

For a club of aspiration we cannot consider resting players. European football must remain our benchmark.

    Work to do for sure.

    31003 @ 5:49 PM,

Macca makes a point of saying Robson was a good player…..but his 3rd touch……

  11. TIMMY7_NOTED @ 5:56 PM,

    Never said we were good.

Tell me what the Manager is supposed to do, outwith putting his boots on.

Sometimes it’s down to the players.

If I told you three seasons ago, Ralston and Taylor were going to be our fullbacks what would you have thought?

If I told you last season Scales would be our best player what would you have thought?

    Odin Holm our midfield anchorman?

    Yang our Jota replacement?

    Think I’m real enuff!!

    Hail Hail

  12. 31003

Aye hopefully Reo is back sooner rather than later, at least he wants to make a forward pass, I feel for the wee man, as you say getting more and more isolated by the game, shirly the manager can see that he isn’t being used to his potential if we can see it FFS.

  13. 31003 @ 6:04 PM,

    Guess it’s fair enough.

Ward and Devonshire on the wings gave Macca lots of service, great team to watch…

    Hail Hail

  14. Hatate is capable of giving the ball away because he always wants the ball to keep moving forward. We gain far more than we lose with him.

We miss him badly when he’s not there.

  15. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

The manager is of a higher quality than any of our players. If you’re looking for problems don’t start there. Buy a load of projects with future potential then you’ll get Aberdeen then days like today. Hot and cold. Recruitment has been a huge gamble by the club this season. Massive.

  16. 31003 on 25TH NOVEMBER 2023 5:40 PM

    TET

my biggest worry……Kyogo is getting more isolated as the season goes on

exactly…wee mhan will want to go. The best bloody striker in years and we canny get the ball to him ffs

  17. Not verbatim, but I’m sure it was Ian Rush who said when he first met Kenny D, Kenny asked him how he liked the ball passed to him. “Oh, over my left shoulder to drop on to my left foot” says Rushy

First game, running from the centre circle to the “D” , Kenny pings one right over Rushys left shoulder and on to his right foot.

“That’s the main reason I score goals”

    TAURANGABHOY on 25TH NOVEMBER 2023 9:07 AM

    Taurangabhoy….

I came over in September (from Canada).

I checked the Celtic website (tickets page). I realized that, for ‘ordinary’ games, Celtic put a small number of tickets up for sale a few weeks before the match. I can’t remember how many days, but if you start checking it daily, you’ll figure it out.

They have 2 types of tickets available:

    1. Hospitality (A bit pricey, but I took them for the 1st of the 2 games)

    2. Regular seats (These came available a few days after the Hospitality ones).

Bought them, and arranged to pick them up at the Ticket Office.

HINT: If you don’t have one, set up an account with the Ticket Office in advance. That will speed up the process when the tickets go ‘live’. ALSO…they go fast. Maybe within an hour. And that was for home games against St Johnstone and Dundee….

I hope they get their tickets.

    All the best,

  19. It’s very tempting to get the scatter gun out on days like today but fundamentally, whether we’re tanking Aberdeen or dropping points to Motherwell, I believe our squad is notably weaker than last season and any one game won’t change that.

If we get Hatate, Maeda and Abada back then things will look up but we’re distinctly average and have spent 20 million on players that right now can’t do what’s demanded of Celtic players – perform well every single week.

  20. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

Agree we’re markedly weaker than last season. CalMac and Hart another year older for a start and it shows. The young boys can’t be relied on to perform every week.

  21. I don’t post much anymore but tried to log in on laptop yesterday & today but wasn’t allowed.

Thought it was site problems but just now logged on OK on my iPhone.

Just reading Tom’s Post from a bit earlier was my inability to log on using my laptop due to me using AdBlocker .

  22. Ralston, Taylor, Turnbull, Mikey J, and throw in Scales (who has been playing well). How many transfer windows and we resort to these guys, Forrest also.

Come on guys we have not moved forward in playing staff.

Sleeping at the wheel trying to save a buck.

You buy cheap you buy twice.

    D :)

  23. celtic have dropped a total of 6 points from 14 games.

    none of them a defeat.

    3 draws from 14 games.

and yer people are talking about thems being theoretically 3 points behind,

the games in hand are tomorrow ……….. and the 20TH DECEMBER

there are 4 league fixtures before then.

the callers to clyde were hysterical,

    two points dropeed,

    so feckin what.

    dearie me.

  24. The returnof weeron on

    As for today…..

    1. When you see players doing the same thing, all the time, then you can be assured that they are following orders.

Palma, Yang and MJ continued to come inside, into traffic. Rarely did any of them try to get to the byline. There shouldn’t be any doubt that they were following orders.

    2. Rodgers 2.0 doesn’t seem much different from the first version. S-l-o-w buildup. Not unlike basketball, only attack once the opposition has got everybody back in defence.

    3. I don’t believe that Kyogo has much of a future at Celtic. Brendan has changed our approach, removing all the things that made Kyogo our best striker since Larsson. We don’t play to his strengths. In fact we don’t play to him at all. I suspect that he might be away sooner rather than later.

    A tough watch…..

  25. can’t do what’s demanded of Celtic players – perform well every single week.

of all the great celtic seasons, which team performed well every single week ?

  26. Tom Having a problem with chrome book, I get to the first page nothing else and cat sign in.Using my wife’s iPad for cqn

  27. Back 4 and keeper, off the 5 players, 4 simply not good enough.

Joe Hart now a liability and should be dropped

  28. Also..anyone who decides to phone Clyde foaming at the mouth is a gift from god for all who hate us.
