So , the financially doped establishment darlings have slipped past us while we’ve been complacently snoozing on a mattress stuffed with money while dreaming of the ten in a row to follow this nine in a row which is already in the bag .

If we fail , don’t blame the refs , we can only stop the nine (and ten) ourselves.

  2. A neutral would say that it’s a good result for scottish football. A result doesn’t always reflect the game. This is a young Celtic team of under a year which has done well to recover from the bombshell that was Brendan’s exit. I think they have played good football in that year. Of course it’s all about winning the league but the neutral will be watching to see who plays the best football and that is where we have seen the talent in this young crop of players. Lenny does tinker with the line ups but it didn’t do Rainieri any harm in the long run.

  3. Lawwell can go after this seasons failure to win the league he’s nothing but a penny pinching bast**d who sweeps corruption under the carpet.

Maybe the Lawwell lovers will start to wake the fuck up now because they’re doing more harm than good.

Gerard’s tactics were spot on and listening to that interview from Lennon is laughable and very worrying.

  4. Theres a bloke in the Calton bar wae a black duffle coat on.

Are duffle coats the epirome of chic again?…anyway…

Walking back from the fitba free zone that was Celtic Park today I made it as far as the the Calton bar…playing loads of Rod stuff. Had a wee exchange wae the punters outside the Station Bar in Bridgeton …fortunately the police swarmed in and surrounded them…otherwise they would have been deid.😎It was like a scene from Line of Duty.😁😁

    Hail hail

    Matt

  5. Time to sit back take a deep breath…forget about celtic [and all football] for 3 weeks or so .

Worked a treat last year .

Everything is still to play for and indeed the league title and european glory remain firmly in our hands.

Add a touch of multi million pound magic in the transfer window [which we can afford]

    And hey presto…

quad treb AND 9 in a row still on.

  6. weebobbycollins on

    Overseashun…I see I have gotten to you…

It’s those bitter oranges you have been sucking on. Now off you go and we’ll unfortunately, see you again after the winter break…

I agree on Lawwell totally and didnt hear the NL interview, I imagine it will be the usual gave me everything well im afraid Forrest Johnston Christie were so far off it they should be dropped for a month.

  8. AN DUN on 29TH DECEMBER 2019 3:55 PM

At this point I want us out of the Europa asap. We need our top players playing less and available for one league game a week.

    ————————————————

    Absolutely spot on.

    Gerry

Forrest a man down today, Christie very poor. Anyone can miss a pen but his refusal to play a simple square pass to put Eddie through on goal in the first half was unforgivable.

  9. I think I am the opposite of some posters who seem to relish making an appearance only after a defeat. I like to stay away in those circumstances . This time, though, I feel the majority of posters have accepted that defeats are inevitable in football. There has been the occasional childish rant but , as I said, in the main , posters have made reasonable responses to a very painful defeat.

One more point. Many still seem convinced that we are better than Sevco. The evidence does not support that opinion. From an analytical perpective, there is , obviously, very little between the two teams.

  10. Hate to say it, however I very much doubt we’ll see much transfer activity in January.

Indeed, I predict an article on this very site, explaining why january is a bad time to sign, agents, weather, squirrel, squirrel, wibble

We were too busy asking where the huns are getting money from to worry about our own signing strategy.

Poor performances of late and we do not appear to be well served by our current board. What and how do we change?

  11. A striker is a clear priority, someone capable of coming in and scoring straight away. Elyounoussi & el hamed will be back, we have a good squad and will not give up on this title. I emphasise though I want out of the Europa, we need out top players down to one game a week.

Our run of away games in February and March will be crucial. We’re zombie table toppers at the min, I take no pleasure in being two points in front having played a game more – we’re effectively a point behind with more away games to play in the second half of the season. Worrying times.

  12. 3 things are certain in life.

Death, Taxes and the return of SydneyTim after a Celtic defeat.

  13. How long can we play Forrest. Man Down

He has got way with it as we have not invested

Omg for a Alan Thomson Or mcginn In midfield

Peter lawwell got away with failure at CL

50 m in bank Lest buy

Failure will mean an end to PL

  14. Big wavy. Just landed from Glasgow at 10pm

But nothing changes from seeing JF as a chicken v them. Again and again.

He has played about 20 times v them. Chicken about 17

  15. The Huns have a good team, I’ve said it here already and I never agreed with those who just repeat the mantra that the Huns are shite, There performances in Europe told us that.

Now I also believe that we have a very good team, again we have done well in Europe & have just won 11 on the trot in the SPFL.

I expected today to be tough but I thought we would squeeze through.

We did miss a penalty & had 2 taken off the line but in truth the Huns looked hungrier & more up for it and that in itself is hard to take.

If they keep playing like they did today, they will probably win the League but that is a huge If.

We were disappointing today and have looked leggy in recent games.

We need a break, we need to get lads like Elhamed & Elyounoussi back and we need to bring in 3 or 4 new recruits.

The battle recommences in 3 weeks, we cannot afford any slip ups but we can and I believe we will win this League.

Harry Hindsight here, anyone heard about a big, strong Aussie called Tom Rogic?

  17. No easy fix. Lenny was criticised last couple of games for playing Ntcham as it put Christie out right and Jf then shifted to left to accommodate. Plenty on here said team’s balance was much better with MJ on left, Jf on right and RC at no.10.

Lenny obvioulsy agreed and put out his favoured line up. That, in his eyes and many others, is our strongest team.

    Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Likewise plenty said they would not play the high press as they are terrified of OE and the pace of MJ and Frimpong. That the reason we were so poor at Hampden was because we had no CF.

Reality is they knew they should have won the last game and played the exact same way. OE’s inclusion made not an iota of a difference. Boli rather Hayes likewise.

  18. After years of dominance, much more competitive games are being portrayed and interpreted as them doing us or bossing the game.

That’s not the game I saw today. It was a 50-50, we missed a pen, two cleared off the line and Christie does not play in french eddy for a run in on goal.

A very competitive game but no way did they dominate us. It means little anyway because we’ve lost a six pointer at home. Their fist win at CP can not be down played. We’ve a lot of work to do.

It’s quite worrying if Neil Lennon said Wednesday didn’t deserve to lose’. That would imply he actually thought we ‘were in great form’.

    Winning games? Yes.

In good form? Most definitely not.

  21. Cork Celt In a bar in Sydney at 3:30am

We have 50m in bank and a shit wee boy on left wing and a chicken Forrest on right

    Does that suit you ?

  22. onenightinlisbon on

    DENIABHOY on 29TH DECEMBER 2019 4:27 PM

We most certainly did deserve to lose.

Understand he has to back the players but this is ridiculous.

  23. We were short in central midfield all day long. They benefitted from our manager’s belief that 2 players can match 3 players in central midfield. I don’t care how much better our individual players are, our 2 cant get the ball from their 3 most and so cant get our creative players on the ball. I seen Lennon’s interview basically taking no responsibility for tactic, shape and result etc. that was poor, but fuck it up to many times and you’ll no need to worry about it cause you’ll be out on your ear.

Last point, see all those scumbags that refused to appluad our previous captain who recently passed away, remember death comes to us all and will come to your door too., football is but a game. For those in the away end who managed it, it’s nice to know there still some decent people out there and I hope you enjoy your night
