No dig taken at all … time is a great healer and even though I was gutted when Brendan left, the good times he gave us remain, likewise Neil who will remembered by me for what he done for us player & manager far more than what he didn’t do …

    Each time their own …

Ange’s domestic record has been immense … hopefully more success to follow

Next uo … Hearts = 3ps will do

  2. !!Bada Bing!! on

Some of the nonsense on here……..guys should be embarrassed…..WE ARE WINNING THIS LEAGUE…,if anyone put this on here in August, you would have been locked up

  3. Uncle Jimmy on

Celtic had ample opportunity to comment on visible attacks against our on fileld staff. We chose not to.

Sevco PR team now indulge in some ambulance chasing.

I presume our powder remains dry

  4. Paul The Spark on

    UNCLE JIMMY

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Huns PR team had the statement ready to go even before the game had started. I sometimes feel we live in an alternate universe sometimes.

  5. I am relieved but totally delighted with the outcome of today’s game. It moves us closer to a successful season – the kind of success that we had no right to even dream about last August & September.

Those who seem to be most critical are some of the usual “Rangers are sh***” brigade – those who always forecast that we will win every game by 3, 4, 5. Those who label anyone who may differ & offer a bit realism in their opinions as, and I quote, “a durty hun” & “never a Celtic man”. How repeatedly wrong can they be?

The Ibrox team are not sh*** – any squad that reaches the semi-final of the EL playing against strong opposition from much better leagues, deserves respect.

Turning a six-point deficit into a six-point lead, i.e. a twelve-point turnaround in six months is remarkable. Turning a twenty-five point deficit last season into a six point lead this, i.e. a thirty-one point turnaround is almost unbelievable.

We probably need around six good first-team ready additions to the current crop, assuming CCV & Jota stay – if they don’t then probably eight, or, nine. Not the wholesale overhaul of this season, but still a tall order.

Today, as in the last league game against Rangers at Ibrox, the result was always going to be more important than the performance – we rode our luck at times in both matches and got the results we needed…..unfortunately at Hampden our luck ran out.

There is much to do, Bodo highlighted this starkly. If we make as much progress next season with a successful & strengthened squad, as we did this season with a defeated & depleted one, we can look forward to more good times ahead.

Ange is not a miracle-worker, but he’s proved to be a fine manager. He will be backed next season, just as he was this. OpTIMism has returned with realism will balancing the scales…..after only one barren season, we are growing again.

Discussing & noting your strongest opponent’s strengths, achievements…..and weaknesses, is not being defeatist – it is an absolute necessity if you want to beat them! It will happen between management, backroom staff, players and in the boardroom….so why not on here and other forums?

    HAIL HAIL The Champions elect!!!

    You could be correct.

However, the narrative is not ours. At best, we’re putting out fires now.

No mention either of the para flags, singing illegal songs, the peado songs, mocking the disabled etc etc, they are utter scum, but we knew that, Oh for a board with balls.

  10. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

Heard two separate rumours in recent weeks that a group of Celtic fans is planning a perfectly legal celebration in the public space outside BBC Scotland in Pacific Quay WHEN we win the league.

    Hope it’s true.

Editorial bias in this production is shocking.

Comparable to a Scottish team playing in Europe.

    My wife’s reaction?

    Don’t let it bother you.

And look on the bright side …

.. At least Celtic are first on in the highlights show.

I hate that comparison, its stupid.

    we both start on zero,

i did like the pinnochio banner , with the same club statement, very creative

I hate that comparison, its stupid.

    we both start on zero,

It’s funny to think that despite all the early season chat, we’ve never been more than 6 points behind them.

  15. Stephbhoy67 on

Sevco do not need to look to hard to find some hate crime, their supporters songbook covered it all. Sure they were up to their knees in fenian blood again.

Dont know what started the throwing of bottles, broken seats etc. But it was certainly taking place and it was two ways, I watched it from my seat 411 for about 5 minutes after the game, elderly and disabled folk in blue seem to have a decent throw on them ffs

I would simply stop with tickets for these games, adds nothing but problems and hate

    HH

  16. And despite all the angst they haven’t made up any points on us since we went top

Going top is easier than staying there

  17. Greenpinata on

Decent result and a million miles from where we were at the end of last season.

However Ange has worked miracles and reset the standards.

It is not incorrect to say we struggled to achieve said standards today.

We never stop : striving for better.

HH to all. The journey continues.

“I don’t want to sound cheeky but that was over 50 years ago.”

Aye, I remember it as if it were yesterday! Today, we still need players that can defend and tackle effectively. Pressing is no use unless you win the ball, For example, James Forrest presses, but never wins the ball. If we are to stay with Ange’s all attack mode, we can’t get started until we take the ball off the opposition. And someone like a young Broonie would be well suited. The problem is finding him!

  19. Greenpinata on

    My friends in Celtic,

    No Hindsight involved.

So the huns are trying to put the boot into us regarding safety.

    Hunbelievable .

But we have left them an open goal. We should never have given them any tickets.

This game was always going to be a safety issue. No ifs no buts, but inevitable.

Because of ineptitude in our decision making we have gifted them the perceived moral high ground.

Put simply, we should have told them to f@@k off.

    Will we never learn ?????

“ I need to get out more”

    That made me laugh …

Keep up the good work, your daily updates are a terrific addition to the blog :-)

Again .. on the game today the Huns were in last chance saloon … they gave it their best shot and still trail by me 6pts and hunners of goals … (well 19) our Bhoys made sure of the status quo … our “misses” will soon be forgotten when Calmac is lifting that league trophy

    Today = job done ✔️

I see Larry David is hard at work tonight (repetitiously) extolling the virtues of Old Firm FC while simultaneously reminding us of the enormous rebuild required by Celtic.

    INIQ AND C40

Yes it was fifty years ago – as you might notice I was at the home game😀

    Some fundamentals don’t change:

    Tackle

Don’t get shoved aff the baw

Don’t pass directly to a player in a blue jersey

Block very very obvious long diagonal balls to the opposition right back

Stick the ball in the back of the net when it is staring you in the face!

However- I am still delighted about the outcome today and our season overall – still smiling, still handsome

Ok – If true I’ll be the first to condemn it.

    But…

I don’t believe a word that comes out of that mob.

Remember they tried to claim their fans invaded the pitch and battered Hibs fans after the 2016 cup final – who shouldn’t have been on the pitch in the first place , no question – after the chat because their fans were only protecting their players ?

“ We acknowledge that a tiny minority of Rangers fans also encroached on the pitch but only after having been faced with prolonged and severe provocation – and in order to protect our players and officials who were being visibly attacked in front of them. Any club’s supporters would have done the same.”

    Liars.

Even Kenny millers wife at the time Clarified he hadn’t been touched.

  24. Greenpinta,

Agree about giving them tickets. You have to ask,Why?.

We should have made sure these 700 tickets did not go to their “Elderly and disabled”fans !!!!!!!!

    Who writes this absolute bollox?.

Both Eintracht and Leipzig have tough away Bundesliga games tomorrow. Seems risky before Thursday’s Europa League semi finals.

The Old Firm gathering evidence of hate crimes. You couldn’t make it up…

The criminal bigot who spat on the priest is in among them PCS,this narrative at Celtic I think we can put in the ‘seen that coming’ tray from the home of bigotry in Scotland.👇

The novelty has worn off now, sorry,no longer finding you a figure of fun.

Just a thought, you do know that Turkey is a country?.Hard to tell with your puerile puns.

    Go away now.

  28. THE LONG WAIT IS OVER

Same here, but they always get their narrative in first and it works, anyone who is not Celtic minded is taken in by it, sadly.

Still awaiting an arrest of the scum that threw broken glass on to the pitch….it’s Scotland so will have a long wait

GFTB 8.27. Cheers Gerry, I like to keep my posts lighthearted. Hope you can make a hoot/shindig/drunken riot soon. But beware of D66 and FSTB. Pair of rogues.
