  1. David 66,

We were right when we cracked up about letting them in.Just why ?.

Maybe our mealy mouths on the Board will see this for what it is.

They even have videos on Hun blogs showing the scum throwing bottles and massed in front of the Police singing the BB.

  2. So Ange gets interviewd with sky with sponsors behind him but that wee Giofanny interviewed with a green background…..WTF

    Horrible bastards, horrible country

    D from the Garngad out………..

  3. !!Bada Bing!! on

D66- We have gave these animals a chance to claim the moral highground, because we didn’t have the balls to ban the hun bastards, that’s what’s happened, we are Old Firm FC as well, happy to oblige.

  4. Finally got round to watching Sportscene tonight. Interesting stat at the start- we are 13 points improved on last year and they are 13 points worse.

Despite Ange’s improvements, we do not win the league without them worsening from last year’s effort where they achieved an unbeaten domestic league season. Any team that does that fully deserves the title. Neil was unlikely to claw back our early deficit but the team was definitely hampered by the post Dubai faltering nature of our fixtures due to postponements.

In contrast, the post Xmas break this year allowed Ange to coach our team and prepare to haul them back which we did quickly and then overtook them on head to head’s.

Having an ‘invincible” season was an outlier- a rare achievement just as it was for BR’s Celtic. The Penny Arcade might finally drop with some (well one) on here that they were never as good as the 25 point gap showed last year; they were a soft target and many of us knew this. What we could not know and did not predict was that Ange would improve us by those 13 points. We knew we would not be as bad as we were last year but we did not know how much better we would be.

So, In summary, I am not surprised that they are 13 points worse off than last year but I am delighted to see us 13 points better. I did not predict a league win early on: I never do. But I did predict we would be in a tight race this year and we were. Despite the best efforts of Bobby Madden and his linesmen that saw us drop 3 points in our opener to hamper our recovery. We were further hampered by a narrow loss at Ibrox when we had 66% possession. Our performances remained impressive and inconsistent but we learned to grind out victories and when we beat them 3:0 at CP and 2:1 at their place, they were the ones to fold like cards- total Cheap Tricks.

This is just Stage 1- Age has consolidated and given us a double and our title back. His plans for us are much bigger and I foresee a continued high turnover of players. he knows that the likes of Jota, CCV, Kyogo, Maeda and Hart may not be with us for long and he plans to have their replacements in the door before any of them depart.

We are in for another rollercoaster next year.

  5. TB – I am astounded at our boards lack of foresight with these cnuts.

They are scum, always have been always will be. Since 2012. 😂😂😂

Awakening to a new morn and a good if sorta conflicted read back:

We should be happy having come so far so quick Vs we still have some critical tinkering/buying to do

Often it’s not exclusively one thing or the other

However we have universal agreement that their supporters are a toxic mutation.

I’ve sure been critical of Reo’s well-below-par performances but I guess it’s his fatigue, not his playing ability.

Mrs QUAD inadvertently relocated my specs and phone charger in her cleaning tornado mode – but I still love her to bits.

Delighted Ange and the bhoys have our league title within grasp.

  14. Quad before I hit the hay….

Good to see you on, where is Melbourne Mick

  16. Good morning from a beautiful clear blue sky here in Menaggio overlooking Lake Como.

Followed the updates on here yesterday – so thanks for that.

Still 6 points ahead with 3 to play – who wouldn’t have settled for that in August although you wouldn’t know it given some of the post match reaction on here.

Off to do a bit of grave hunting later.

  17. Caught a bit of an interesting segment on BBC antiques roadshow last night, the programme was from the North , a person brought in several medals from the easter rising ,family heirlooms I would think, these included a women’s medal which were awarded in 1941 I think it was said. Valuable pieces ,programme available on iplayer I would think about 10minutes from the end.

    Good morning CQN

Unfortunately Celtic didn’t deserve the win yesterday that the beach ball nutters were looking for, we can wait we have all the time, we avoided defeat which was very important the footballing gods certainly favoured us last 30 mins, as GVB tactics and subs took control of the game

However as GVB conceded after the game they needed to win, and are now relying on a miracle that is Celtic collapsing in the 3 remaining games, we return to paradise this Sat lunchtime for a match against the jam tarts, they have had an excellent campaign following on from their promotion to the supposedly big league, despite being a limited team with a limited manager, they comfortably secured 3rd spot in the SPFL and a Scottish cup final awaits, another physical tousy encounter no doubt with the usual MIB in the middle, until Scottish football is governed properly it will be forever thus, there are no new Fergie/wee Mcleans on the horizon

MOTM Callum McGregor had a magnificent game he covered every blade of grass his recovery tackles were exceptional one in particular on a Kent menacing run was jaw-dropping, sadly on the defensive side he was all alone, Hatate (very talented) was very poor, couldn’t believe he started the 2nd half it was clear we were going to be in for a torrid 2nd 45 Hatate clearly needs a rest, he will be a force again, but yesterday he offered little Callum had to be exceptional and he was, we have the best midfielder in Scotland we should cherish him and his commitment to the club I know I do

Very few were predicting any success when Ange rowed up from Japan with limited time before the season kicked off it was a humongous task that faced the antipodean Geek, following on from last season’s management debacle which was forecasted by many within the support as every decision taken was the road to nowhere followed by a disastrous summer wooing of Howe, Ange faced a hollowed out football Dept, no Celtic manager should have to rebuild from a depth such as that success I thought was a credible league campaign in which we chased Sevco all the way and maybe a cup if we had the luck with us, I had dismissed any European success as a dream, just as well as our European campaign was a flop. Ange certainly takes and deserves all the plaudits he has done a magnificent job his confident manner allied to belief in his philosophy and work ethic have taken him to the domestic success he has conducted himself in a manner befitting the role as manager of Celtic FC, unlike last season, but football is unforgiving your only as good as your last result hopefully preparation has already started for next season, I like Ange total belief in his footballing philosophy in entertaining supporters, we don’t stop etc etc, if Ange is going to achieve success in Europe he will have to adapt or fail like this season, I hope Ange accepts game management and tactical changes are required in the big games GVB took control of the last 30 yesterday and we can thank the luck of the Irish we got the point

  19. Ive just watched the highlights and for the last 30 minutes Bitton was at fault for pretty much all of their good play. For the goal, we are actually set up decent but he is too far off Arfield allowing them to play through the no10 position. For both of Sakala chances when he ran in behind again Bitton is not screening the man playing the ball in behind. He also allowed Sakala a free header from a corner.

  20. The range of outcomes yesterday was remarkable. So I’m going to remark.

All the talk was of winning and the league being in the bag. 1 point to secure it had we done so.

Had we lost we’d have needed two wins. By no means impossible but imagine if, in that scenario, we’d dropped a couple of points against Hearts next week in that situation. Squeaky but time for sure.

So, yesterday when the orcs started well and then when they equalised and started playing (watch it again – they were doing f all of any significance until that point! The goal changed the flow of the game as ours did in the first half) that was abusive test of character for our bhoys. Think back to ibrox in April – a goal down and all at sea – step forward the man in the mask and we put ourselves out in front by a distance. We have been flawless since results wise and performance wise in my opinion despite the immense pressure.

I am so proud of this team. It is a great bank holiday Monday to be a Tim.
