    Come on guys it’s only half time. We haven’t been brilliant but after losing an early goal we equalised and looked the much better team towards the end of the half.

    Well done French Eddie 1-1 we need to use this to put more pressure on Rosenborg we need a lead for the away game.Our defence as many expected is having a bit of a hard time especialy Hendry whos lack of European experience has shown.Half time 1-1 We need to up our game in the second half as in my opinion anything less than a Celtic win will put us in big danger of dropping down in to the Europa league now is the time for Brendan to earn his corn.     Jack Hendry if he’s going to carry the ball can’t lose it halfway up the park and play us into trouble like he did for the goal…

    I think there’s more goals in this for us , my big worry is our makeshift defence conceding again.

    So hopefully tonight evidences that making signings to help you get through the qualification stages is a solid strategy. Edouard has been great and that goal could end up earning us a lot more money in the long run.

    This is a plea for donations for the hamsters which are powering CQN tonight.

     

    Due to enforced cutbacks in the biscuit tin, the squad has been reduced to four hamsters and they are one wheel short due to lack of maintenance.

     

    The poor things are on a restricted diet as the vegetable bill has necessarily been reduced.

     

    Any contributions are welcome be it a monetary one or a punnet of fruit, vegetables or a couple of water bottles.

     

    The management has promised new recruits before the league season commences but in the meantime please dig deep in your allotments, greenhouses and message bags. ;-)

    Whenever Celtic win leagues and titles it heralded by the comfy consensus on Cqn as the result of being “the best managed club in Britain. Kudos to big Peter and Dermot ” etc

     

     

    Fail and it’s due to a Masonic cabal (domestically) or a rigged sport thatsall about the big leagues (Europe)

     

     

    Well the work of the res12 guys has given the board a torch and a myriad of irrefutable evidence to take on the masons. What have the board done with it 5 years later? Feck all but stall and obfuscate.

     

     

    Going into CL qualifiers with a guy we discarded years back and took back from Dundee alongside a wee guy who has played maybe 20 games in 4 years in club football is hee haw to do with UEFA corruption and plenty to do with our poor planning, recruitment choices and complacency.

     

     

    Guys that aren’t automatic starters in the Spfl are not what’s needed at this level of football but they’re what we’re going with as we aren’t yet past the Man City squad registration witching hour of 6th August and are hamstrung by others being unavailable due to a World Cup we knew 9 months ago they’d be involved in.

     

     

    January transfer window we knew boyata lustig and rogic would be the out the game for CL qualifiers. And that Roberts would be gone as his loan was expiring.

     

     

    Armstrong going was always a likelihood too as long ago as 12 months ago.

     

     

    Hendry and comperr and musonda were the answers to that conundrum.

    poor first 30 mins from us when we had a few shots from ON from outside the box but nothing on target, lost a goal from slack play from JH coming out from the back , better last 15 when we changed JF to wide right from the centre , expect Cmc.G could score this 2nd half, keep the faith.

    Only reason we struggled in the first half was the difference in match sharpness, as it was last year.

     

     

    Blaming the defence for the goal is a cheap shot. We were second to every ball midfield and up front.

     

     

    We had no penetration, with each forward pass received was immediately played back.

     

     

    Ref doing us no favours . Au contraire.

    Only saw the last 15 minutes when we looked ok, and the momentum was building. I’d say we need a two-goal cushion here – and there’s the first one!
